The Marquisate of Saluzzo (Latin: Marchionatus de Salutia) was a historical Italian state that included parts of the current region of Piedmont and of the French Alps. The Marquisate was much older than the Renaissance lordships, being a legacy of the feudalism of the High Middle Ages.

The Marquisate of Ceva was a small independent state in north-western Italy, situated at the foot of the Apennines, with its seat at Ceva, in what is now a part of Piedmont.

Saluzzo (Italian: [saˈluttso]; Piedmontese: Salusse [saˈlyse]) is a town and former principality in the province of Cuneo, in the Piedmont region, Italy. The city of Saluzzo is built on a hill overlooking a vast, well-cultivated plain. Iron, lead, silver, marble, slate etc. are found in the surrounding mountains. On 1 January 2017 it had a population of 17.581 Saluzzo was the birthplace of the writer Silvio Pellico and of typographer Giambattista Bodoni.

The Diocese of Saluzzo (Latin: Dioecesis Salutiarum) is a Latin diocese of the Catholic Church in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy, centered in the comune of Saluzzo. The diocese was established on 29 October 1511 for political reasons, to transform the Marquisate of Saluzzo into an ecclesiastic territory, and was directly dependent upon the Holy See. It is now a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Turin.

Saluzzo railway station (Italian: Stazione di Saluzzo) is the principal station serving the town of Saluzzo in the Piedmont Region. The station is located on the Savigliano-Saluzzo-Cuneo railway line, operating since 1893 (replacing an older station built in 1857) but has suspended services on two occasions: in June 2012 (until January 2019) and March 2020 (until January 2025). It has since reopened for passenger services from January 27, 2025.

Verzuolo Castle (Italian: Castello di Verzuolo) is a medieval castle in the Piedmont region of Italy. It is located in the Province of Cuneo near Verzuolo, around 3 miles (4.8 km) south of Saluzzo.

Verzuolo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 66 kilometres (41 mi) southwest of Turin and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) north of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,379 and an area of 26.2 square kilometres (10.1 mi2). The municipality of Verzuolo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Falicetto, Villanovetta, Papò, Chiamina, S. Bernardo, and Pomerolo. Verzuolo borders the following municipalities: Costigliole Saluzzo, Lagnasco, Manta, Pagno, Piasco, Savigliano, Villafalletto.

Castellar was a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) southwest of Turin and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) northwest of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 253 and an area of 3.8 square kilometres (1.5 mi2).

Pagno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region of Piedmont. It is located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) southwest of Turin and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) northwest of Cuneo. It covers an area of 8.4 square kilometres (3.2 mi2) and as of 31 December 2004 has a population of 564. Pagno borders the municipalities of Brondello, Manta, Piasco, Revello, Saluzzo, Venasca, and Verzuolo.

Costigliole Saluzzo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 60 km (37 mi) southwest of Turin and about 20 km (12 mi) north of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,212 and an area of 15.3 km2 (5.9 sq mi). Costigliole Saluzzo borders the following municipalities: Busca, Piasco, Rossana, Verzuolo, and Villafalletto.

Piasco is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) southwest of Turin and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) northwest of Cuneo. It is home to the only museum of harps in the world.
