Rotherbaum (German pronunciation ) is a quarter of Eimsbüttel, a borough of Hamburg, Germany. In 2020 the population was 17,114. In German, "roter Baum" means red tree. The "th", which in general was abolished in the spelling reform of 1900, was preserved in names. Depending on grammatical context, it might also be spelled with n as Rothenbaum.

The Rothenbaumchaussee is an inner-city street in the Hamburg quarters of Rotherbaum and Harvestehude. It runs from the Edmund-Siemers-Allee at Hamburg Dammtor station to the Klosterstern square.

Sportplatz am Rothenbaum was a multi-use stadium in Hamburg, Germany, from 1910–1997. Situated at Rothenbaumchaussee in Rotherbaum, it was used mostly for football matches and hosted the home matches of Hamburger SV. The stadium was able to hold 27,000 people and opened in 1910. It was eventually replaced by Volksparkstadion in 1963 and was closed for good in 1997.

The Audimax is a lecture hall located on the University of Hamburg campus in Rotherbaum, Hamburg, Germany, in the district of Eimsbüttel. It is the largest lecture hall in Hamburg. The 1,674-seat auditorium also hosts non-university events such as concerts and cinema.

Hallerstraße station is a metro station served by Hamburg U-Bahn line U1. It is located in Rotherbaum, in the Hamburg borough of Eimsbüttel was opened in 1929.

St. Johannis-Harvestehude (St. John-Harvestehude), Hamburg, is a neo-gothic Protestant church built between 1880 and 1882 and considered one of the best-preserved turn-of-the-century monuments of Hamburg. Contrary to what the name might suggest, the church is located in the Rotherbaum quarter of Hamburg, between the streets of Turmweg and Mittelweg, near the Außenalster.

The University of Hamburg (German: Universität Hamburg, also referred to as UHH) is a university in Hamburg, Germany. The Hamburg Institute for Social Research is an independent private foundation whose scholarship is focused on both contemporary history and the social sciences. Founded in 1984 by Jan Philipp Reemtsma, it currently employs about 50 people with roughly 50% working in the research fields of sociology and history. The institute publishes a bimonthly journal called Mittelweg 36 and has its own publishing house.

The Hamburg European Open (formerly German Open Tennis Championships) is an annual tennis tournament for professional players held in Hamburg, Germany and part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour. Before 2021, it was a male-only event.The tournament is played on outdoor clay courts at the tennis center Am Rothenbaum in the Harvestehude quarter. For much of its history, the tournament was contested in May, as a precursor to the French Open on the professional tennis calendar. Starting with the 2009 tournament, it has been held in July instead.The women's event was held initially separately from 1982 to 1983 (in Hittfeld), and again from 1987 through to 2002. It was part of the WTA Tour and existed under several different sponsored names, most commonly known as the Citizen Cup (1987–1995) and the Betty Barclay Cup (1999–2002). WTA Hamburg was the location where Monica Seles, then-world No.1, was stabbed during a match by a disorderly local tennis fan on April 30, 1993. In 2021, Hamburg returned to the calendar of the WTA tour, becoming part of its WTA 250 series category of tournaments.

Am Rothenbaum is the site of the main tennis court of the German Open Tennis Championships, played in the Harvestehude quarter of Hamburg, Germany. Though the site is called "Tennisstadion am Rothenbaum" (lit. Tennis Stadium at the Rothenbaum), it is today officially located in the Harvestehude quarter of Hamburg.

Dammtor is a zone (Ort) of the German city of Hamburg, situated between the quarters of Rotherbaum (in the borough of Eimsbüttel) and Neustadt (in the borough of Mitte).
