Clach Bheinn (Lochgoilhead)

Tom Molach is a peak within the Ardgoil Peninsula and Arrochar Alps near Lochgoilhead in Argyll, Scotland. The peak reaches a height of 370 metres (1,210 ft).

Loch Goil; (Scottish Gaelic: Loch Goil) is a small sea loch forming part of the coast of the Cowal peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The sea loch is entirely within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.It is an arm of Loch Long. The village of Lochgoilhead stands at its head. Located in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Lochgoilhead sits at the head of Loch Goil, a fjord type sea loch. Only an hour from the Erskine Bridge, Glasgow Airport the M8 and Glasgow. The village is accessed from the Rest & Be Thankful pass by way of a 6 miles (10 km) single-track road. The area is surrounded by hills and mountains, with loch views, and a range of accommodation, leisure activities and entertainment. Carrick Castle lies on the west shore 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Lochgoilhead. The landscape at Loch Goil shows its remoteness and Highland grandeur with the Arrochar Alps surrounding with conifers in the Highlands of Scotland. It is used for exercises by Trident submarines from HMNB Clyde at Faslane.In 2014 Loch Goil was declared a Nature Conservation Marine Protected Area (NCMPA).

Argyll's Bowling Green (Scottish Gaelic: Baile na Grèine meaning "sunny hamlet" or "sunny cattle fold"), also known as the Ardgoil peninsula, is an area on the Ardgoil estate in Argyll and Bute, Scotland.

The Saddle is a mountain near Lochgoilhead in The Ardgoil Peninsula in Argyll. It reaches a height of 521m and is in the Arrochar Alps.

Beinn Reithe is a mountain in Argyll in the Scottish Highlands and forms part of the Ardgoil Peninsula and Arrochar Alps. Beinn Reithe is located between Loch Goil and Loch Long; it reaches a height just over 2000 ft. The mountain is most noticeable from the western shores of Loch Goil and it is also within Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

Carrick Castle is a village on the western shore of Loch Goil, 7 km south of Lochgoilhead by a minor road along the loch shore, on the Cowal peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It is within the Argyll Forest Park, and also within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. In 1877 a wooden pier was built at the castle, and a three-storey tenement building called Hillside Place was constructed inland from the castle, to provide apartments for visiting tourists. This was followed by several villas built along the shore road as accommodation for Glasgow merchants, developing what became a small village.The village church is listed on the buildings at risk register of Scotland. There is a path to Ardentinny from Carrick Castle village.

Portincaple is a hamlet on the shores of Loch Long in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It was once a fishing village sending its catch to market via the old railway station at Whistlefield. For thirty years until his death in 1942, Portincaple was the home of Scottish artist James Kay.Whistlefield, later Whistlefield Halt, was a station 10.30 miles (16.58 kilometres) from Craigendoran Junction railway station served the hamlet of Portincaple and the surrounding area. Opened in 1896 by the West Highland Railway, it was built on a single track section without a passing loop in between Garelochhead and Glen Douglas and closed by the British Railways Board in 1964.

Opened in 1896 by the West Highland Railway, it was built on a single track section without a passing loop in between Garelochhead and Glen Douglas and closed by the British Railways Board in 1964.

Finnart Oil Terminal, also known as Finnart Ocean Terminal or Chap Point, is an oil depot on the eastern shore of Loch Long, Firth of Clyde on the west coast of Scotland, about 2 miles (3.2 km) to the north of Garelochhead on the A814 road to Arrochar. It has piers extending a short distance into the loch, providing a deep water berth for oil tankers up to 324,000 tonnes. Two pipelines connect the terminal across the width of Scotland to the Grangemouth Refinery on the Firth of Forth on the east coast, and extensive oil storage tanks have been built into the hillside on both sides of the main road.

Whistlefield is a location just north of Garelochhead on the B872 in Dunbartonshire, Scotland. There is a roundabout known locally as the "Whistlefield roundabout" on the A814 road. There is a viewpoint called the "Whistlefield viewpoint" with a picnic area and an associated carpark.There is a modern housing development in the location, with the B872 called "Whistlefield Road" in the area.

Garelochhead (Scots: Garelochheid, Scottish Gaelic: Ceann a' Gheàrr-loch, "Headland of the Short Lake") is a small town on the Gare Loch in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It is the nearest town to the HMNB Clyde naval base.Garelochhead lies 7 miles (11 kilometres) northwest of Helensburgh. Loch Lomond is a few miles to the east, and Loch Long to the west. To some the scenery of the loch is only slightly marred by the presence of the HMNB Clyde submarine base and the associated 'peace camp'. In addition to the few local shops, pub and church, it has a bowling club and two community buildings – the Gibson Hall and Centre 81, which is home to Route 81 youth project, gym, café, computer suite and meeting rooms. There is also a gallery featuring work by Scottish artists. Garelochhead is served by Garelochhead railway station on the West Highland Line and a local bus service running between Coulport and Helensburgh.

Garelochhead railway station (Scottish Gaelic: Ceann a' Gheàrrloch) is a railway station serving the village of Garelochhead, on the Gare Loch, in Scotland. This station is on the West Highland Line and is a boundary station for SPT. It is sited 8 miles 76 chains (14.4 km) from Craigendoran Junction, near Helensburgh, between Arrochar and Tarbet and Helensburgh Upper. ScotRail manage the station and operate most services, with others provided by Caledonian Sleeper.
