Horning is a neighborhood in the borough of Baldwin in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was the residence of miners of the Pittsburgh Terminal Railroad and Coal Company #4 Mine, which had a racially integrated workforce, unusual in that era.

Curry is an unincorporated community in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, later renamed Broughton.

Broughton is an unincorporated community in South Park Township, Pennsylvania, United States. Originally named Curry after Joseph Curry, a frontier physician and coroner of Allegheny County in 1810, it was renamed Broughton, to avoid confusion with the nearby Curry Hollow and the Curry in Blair County. It is located at the junction of Brownsville Road, Curry Road, and Broughton Road. Broughton was racially integrated in the early 20th century, due to coal miners working nearby mines in Horning. It was the location of Pittsburgh Terminal Coal Company's No. 5 mine.

Concord Elementary School located at 2340 Brownsville Road in the Carrick neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was built in 1939. It was designed by Marion M. Steen (1886–1966) in Georgian Revival and Moderne style. It was added to the List of Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmarks in 2001, and the List of City of Pittsburgh historic designations on November 30, 1999.

The former Overbrook Municipal Building is located at 2410 Saw Mill Run Boulevard in the Overbrook neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The building was designed by architect Louis Stevens in the Colonial Revival style and was built in 1927-28.

Spinning Wheels is a former stop on the Overbrook branch of the Port Authority of Allegheny County's light rail network. The stop was named for the adjacent former site of an indoor roller skating rink. The stop was closed when the Overbrook line was shut down in 1993, and its shelter and platforms removed when the line was rebuilt in 2004. A Busy Beaver hardware store currently occupies the site of the skating rink.
