Horning is a neighborhood in the borough of Baldwin in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was the residence of miners of the Pittsburgh Terminal Railroad and Coal Company #4 Mine, which had a racially integrated workforce, unusual in that era.

Spinning Wheels is a former stop on the Overbrook branch of the Port Authority of Allegheny County's light rail network. The stop was named for the adjacent former site of an indoor roller skating rink. The stop was closed when the Overbrook line was shut down in 1993, and its shelter and platforms removed when the line was rebuilt in 2004. A Busy Beaver hardware store currently occupies the site of the skating rink.

The former Overbrook Municipal Building is located at 2410 Saw Mill Run Boulevard in the Overbrook neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The building was designed by architect Louis Stevens in the Colonial Revival style and was built in 1927-28.

Concord Elementary School located at 2340 Brownsville Road in the Carrick neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was built in 1939. It was designed by Marion M. Steen (1886–1966) in Georgian Revival and Moderne style. It was added to the List of Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmarks in 2001, and the List of City of Pittsburgh historic designations on November 30, 1999.

Linden Grove was once a nationally designated historic place located at 1100 Grove Road in Castle Shannon, Pennsylvania, but the original building (circa 1872) was torn down and it was delisted on January 20, 2000. The current building there is a more recent construction called The Linden Grove Nightclub. The original "Linden Grove was built as an attraction to German picnickers, as were several other groves patronized by various ethnic groups. Wagons with benches met picnickers at the train station and took them to whichever grove catered to their nationality."
