North Florida Shipyards is a ship repair and conversion company, Founded in 1978. The company is situated in Jacksonville, Florida and includes two facilities – one located in the Commodores Point area of Jacksonville the other on Mayport Naval Station. The main focus of the company is ship repair and conversion. The shipyard works on tankers and cargo ships, passenger vessels, tugs, barges, offshore supply vessels and offshore yachts. The company has 3600 feet of bulk-headed wharf, 210,000 sq. ft. of warehouse and shops, and resides on approximately 25 acres of property.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville is an independent, coeducational private college preparatory school in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. It was founded in 1966 by the Episcopal Diocese of Florida. The school has two lower schools, a middle school and a high school and enrolls about 1,200 students a year.

World of Nations Celebration is an annual international festival held in Jacksonville, Florida, U.S. It is North Florida's largest multicultural festival, and features exhibitions and events from a variety of countries. It has been held at Metropolitan Park every February–May since 1993. The celebration is designed to showcase the diverse immigrant and international communities of Jacksonville and the northeast Florida area. It hosts over 75,000 visitors, including 12,000 children on school field trips. On Saturday morning, there is a naturalization ceremony at 10:00 am, where as many as 50 people become U.S. citizens. Each "country" represented has its flag on display, at least one person speaking that country's official language, and serving food native to that nation. Many play traditional music and demonstrate their style of dance or relate stories from their culture. Artwork and clothing/costumes representing the country are also exhibited. The celebration also includes the "World of Kids Playland", which features arts and crafts and other programs for children. Countries represented vary each year. Past celebrations have included Brazil, Cambodia, the Caribbean, China, Colombia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, the French Caribbean, Ghana, Haiti, India, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Laos, Lebanon, Mexico, Native America, Nigeria, Norway, Panama, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Taiwan, the United States, Turkey, Venezuela, and Vietnam. 2021 sees strict measures undertaken against the COVID-19 pandemic, such as wearing masks and social distancing.

Metropolitan Park is a 32-acre (130,000 m2) urban waterfront park and concert venue located on the north bank of the St. Johns River in Downtown Jacksonville, Florida. It is projected to be the eastern terminus of the northbank Jacksonville Riverwalk.

Daily's Place is an amphitheater in Downtown Jacksonville, Florida. The venue is connected to the south end of TIAA Bank Field and shares space with a "flex field" indoor practice facility for the Jacksonville Jaguars. It opened in May 2017 and seats 5,500 spectators. Since 2019, the amphitheater has become nationally known as the home venue for the U.S. professional wrestling promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Naming rights were secured by Daily's, a local convenience store chain.

Commodore Point was a former Ford manufacturing plant in Jacksonville, Florida. It was located on the banks of the St. John River just below the Mathews Bridge. It occupied the former Bentley Shipyards. The factory began operations in November 1924 building the Ford Model T followed later by the Ford Model A and was closed in 1932, where Ford continued to use the building as a parts distribution center until 1968.

The Groover-Stewart Drug Company Building (also known as the McKesson-Robbins Drug Company Building) is a historic site in Jacksonville, Florida. It is located at 25 North Market Street. On December 30, 1992, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Gator Bowl was an American football stadium in Jacksonville, Florida. Originally built in 1927, all but a small portion was razed in 1994 in preparation for the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars' inaugural season; the reconstructed stadium became Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, now TIAA Bank Field. The old stadium and its replacement have hosted the Gator Bowl, a post-season college football bowl game, since its inception in 1946. It also hosted the Florida–Georgia game, an annual college football rivalry game between the University of Florida and the University of Georgia, and was home to several professional sports teams, including the Jacksonville Sharks and Jacksonville Express of the World Football League (WFL), the Jacksonville Tea Men soccer team, and the Jacksonville Bulls of the United States Football League.

TIAA Bank Field is an American football stadium located in Jacksonville, Florida, that primarily serves as the home facility of the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL) and the headquarters of the professional wrestling promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW).The stadium opened in 1995 as Jacksonville Municipal Stadium on the site of the old Gator Bowl Stadium (erected 1927), and included some portions of the older stadium. Located on the St. Johns River, it sits on 10 acres (4.0 ha) of land in downtown Jacksonville. In addition to hosting the Jaguars, the stadium is regularly used for college football, concerts, and other events. It is the regular site of the annual Florida–Georgia game, a college football rivalry game between the University of Florida and the University of Georgia. The stadium is also the home of the annual Gator Bowl, a post-season college bowl game. Additionally, the stadium hosted Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005 and is one of the venues used by the United States men's national soccer team. From 1997 to 2006, the stadium was named Alltel Stadium after communications company Alltel purchased naming rights. The facility was renamed EverBank Field in 2010, following the approval of a five-year, naming rights deal with the financial services company EverBank. The agreement was extended in 2014 for an additional 10 years. The Jaguars announced in February 2018 the stadium would be renamed TIAA Bank Field for the 2018 NFL season after EverBank was acquired by New York-based TIAA.The stadium temporarily played host to the New Orleans Saints during the 2021 NFL season after the team was forced to relocate from Caesars Superdome, owing to the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.

The Mathews Bridge is a cantilever bridge in Jacksonville, Florida, which spans the St. Johns River. Constructed in 1953, the bridge brings traffic along the Arlington Expressway between downtown Jacksonville and the Arlington neighborhood. It was named after John E. Mathews, a Florida state legislator and Chief Justice of the 1955 Florida Supreme Court who helped gather funding for the bridge's construction. Originally silver in color, the bridge was painted maroon in 1984 in celebration of Jacksonville's United States Football League franchise, the Jacksonville Bulls.

The Plaza Hotel is a historic hotel in Jacksonville, Florida. On December 30, 1992, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

University Christian School is a private Christian school in Jacksonville, Florida, U.S. It is part of the ministry of the University Church, a local Baptist congregation. It serves students from pre-kindergarten through graduation. The school has a strong focus on sports and has won several state titles in various sports such as football, baseball and wrestling. The school was established as a segregation academy in order to keep white children away from minorities in response to court ordered desegregation of public schools.
