The Currin Bridge is a Howe truss covered bridge near Cottage Grove, Oregon, United States. It crosses the Row River. The Currin Bridge was built in 1925 to replace another bridge built in 1883. The lowest bid received by Lane County for construction of the bridge was $6,250, so the county decided to build the bridge on its own for $4,205, saving $2,495 of taxpayers' money. The bridge was named after an early pioneer family.The Currin Bridge is the only bridge in Oregon that is painted two different colors. The Currin Bridge has white portals and red sides. It is one of seven covered bridges in the immediate area.In 1979, Lane County completed a new concrete bridge nearby the Currin Bridge and closed the old bridge to traffic. The new bridge is only a few feet away from the Currin Bridge, which is still accessible by pedestrians. In 1987, the bridge had work done fumigating for insects and structural repair, and in 1993–1995, the Oregon Covered Bridge Program of Lane County received a grant of $48,000 to restore the bridge. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Stewart Bridge is a Howe truss covered bridge built in 1930 near Walden, Oregon, United States, in Lane County. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It is 60 feet (18 m) long and crosses Mosby Creek, a tributary of the Row River.

The Mosby Creek Bridge, also called the Layng Bridge, is a historic Howe truss covered bridge located near Cottage Grove, Oregon, United States. The bridge crosses Mosby Creek and was constructed in 1920, making it the oldest covered bridge in Lane County.The Mosby Creek Bridge was built in 1920 for a cost of $4125 (US$60,258 in 2024) by Walter and Miller Sorensen. The bridge was named after the pioneer David Mosby. He settled east of present-day Cottage Grove near the current site of the bridge on a 1,600 acres (650 ha) land claim.Unique design elements of the Mosby Creek Bridge include semi-circular portal arches (the entrances to the bridge), ribbon openings at the roofline, and board-and-batten siding, as well as modifications to the basic Howe truss design. In 1990, the bridge underwent a major restoration. In 2002, the corrugated metal roof that capped the bridge's gable roof was replaced with synthetic material, as well as other repairs.In 1979, the bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The Mosby Creek Bridge remains open to traffic, the only bridge in the area that does so. The Mosby Creek Bridge receives regular maintenance from the county.

Walden is an unincorporated community in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It is about 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Cottage Grove, near the confluence of the Row River and Mosby Creek.Walden was a station on the Oregon and Southeastern Railroad (now converted to the Row River Trail). According to state representative and local lumber company owner L. L. "Stub" Stewart, the station was named for a family of early residents in the area. There is a Nathan B. Walden listed in the 1880 Census for the Cottage Grove Precinct. The 1973 film Emperor of the North was shot in the Walden area along the rail line.The Brumbaugh covered bridge, a National Register of Historic Places property, once stood near Walden, spanning Mosby Creek. It was dismantled and the wood used in the Centennial Covered Bridge in Cottage Grove. The Stewart and Mosby Creek bridges still stand in the Walden area, as well as the historic Walden Store & Gas Station building, built circa 1900. The store closed in about 2002.

Mosby Creek is a 21-mile (34 km) tributary of the Row River in Lane County, in the U.S. state of Oregon. It begins at the confluence of the east and west forks of the creek near the Calapooia Divide and the border with Douglas County. From its source it flows generally north-northwest to meet the river slightly east of Cottage Grove and about 4 miles (6 km) from the larger stream's confluence with the Coast Fork Willamette River.Mosby Creek was named for David Mosby, an early settler. He lived near the mouth of the stream, once known as Brumbaugh Creek.Mosby Creek Covered Bridge, 90 feet (27 m) long, carries Layng Road over the creek east of Cottage Grove. Built in 1920, it is the oldest covered bridge in Lane County.Further upstream near Walden, the Stewart Covered Bridge carries Garoutte Road over the creek. Built in 1930 and restored in 1996, this 60-foot (18 m) span is used only for pedestrian and bicycle traffic.

The Brumbaugh Bridge was a covered bridge in Lane County in the U.S. state of Oregon. Built in 1948, the structure originally carried Row River Road over Mosby Creek near Cottage Grove. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and was subsequently delisted.The bridge was demolished in 1979. Some of its timbers were combined with timbers from Meadows Bridge, also demolished in 1979, to construct a covered pedestrian bridge, Centennial Covered Bridge, over the Coast Fork Willamette River in Cottage Grove.The Howe truss structure, 90 feet (27 m) long, was the second covered bridge at this location. The first Brumbaugh Bridge was a 92-foot (28 m) Howe truss structure built in 1925.

Cottage Grove State Airport or Jim Wright Field (FAA LID: 61S), is a public airport serving small general aviation aircraft, located one mile (1.6 km) east of the city of Cottage Grove in Lane County, Oregon, USA. On December 17, 2003 the airfield was named after Jim Wright, a local aviator and businessman who built a reproduction Hughes H-1 Racer. Wright died in an aircraft accident on August 4, 2003.

Cottage Grove Community Hospital was founded by PeaceHealth after the existing community hospital declared bankruptcy. It is located in Cottage Grove, Oregon, in southern Lane County. The facility provides 24-hour emergency care and a 14-bed inpatient unit. This hospital is not part of the Oregon state trauma system. Major trauma patients are transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Springfield.

Gettings Creek is a tributary of the Coast Fork Willamette River in Lane County, in the U.S. state of Oregon. Flowing generally west from near Prune Hill, it turns sharply north as it nears Interstate 5 (I-5). It enters the larger stream near Walker, between Cottage Grove to the south and Creswell to the north. The I-5 rest area called Gettings Creek lies next to the creek.The creek and a tributary, North Fork Gettings Creek, were named for Samuel A. Gettings, an early settler. Gettings lived near the creek in 1888.

The Row River is a river, approximately 20 miles (32 km) long, in Lane County, Oregon, United States. It rises in the Cascade Range and flows into the Coast Fork Willamette River near Cottage Grove. The stream was originally known as the "East Fork Coast Fork", but was later renamed after a dispute (row) between neighbors and brothers-in-law George Clark and Joseph Southwell over "trespassing" livestock. Clark was killed as a result of the row. The name rhymes with "cow" rather than with "slow". A post office named Row River operated from 1911 to 1914 a little north of the present site of Dorena at 43.740123°N 122.880347°W / 43.740123; -122.880347.

The Cochran–Rice Farm Complex, which included the Dr. Pierce's Pleasant Pellets Barn, is located in Cottage Grove, Oregon. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1991. The barn was demolished in 2012 following the expiration of a 20-year easement held by the local historical society.
