Sudan University of Science and Technology

The College of Engineering at Sudan University of Science and Technology was founded in 1975.

The Khartoum International Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Khartoum, Sudan. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 23,000 people. It is also the home stadium of the Sudanese national football team and of the club Al Ahli SC Khartoum. In 2010, it was renovated for the 2011 African cup of nations championships.

Al-Neelain University is a public university located in Khartoum, Sudan. It was founded in 1993. In 2012, the university had 18 faculties with a total enrollment of 47365, making it the second biggest university in Sudan. The university is a member of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World.

The Bayan University (Arabic:جامعة البيان) is an educational institution based in the city of Khartoum, Sudan. It was established in 1997 as the "Bayan College of Science and Technology", and admitted the first students in 1998. The university offers diplomas in Construction Engineering and Construction, Information Technology and Engineering of medical equipment. It offers bachelor's degrees in Computer Science, Information Systems and Electronic Engineering. The university is a member of the Sudanese University Libraries Consortium.In 2021 the college had been upgraded to a university by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research>

The Sudan National Botanical Garden, established in 1954, is located in Khartoum in the Mogran residential area. The garden contains a collection of living plants in addition to a herbarium.

The Corinthia Hotel Khartoum is a five-star hotel in central Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, on the meeting point of the Blue Nile and White Nile and in the centre of Khartoum's commercial, business, and administrative districts. It is located next to the Friendship Hall of Khartoum and the Tuti Bridge.

The National Museum of Sudan or Sudan National Museum, abbreviated SNM, is a two-story building, constructed in 1955 and established as national museum in 1971. The building and its surrounding gardens house the largest and most comprehensive Nubian archaeological collection in the world, including objects from the Paleolithic through to the Islamic period, originating from every site of importance in Sudan. A significant catalyst for the museum's creation was the large number of relocated artefacts as a result of the International Campaign to Save the Monuments of Nubia. In particular, it houses collections of these periods of the history of Sudan: Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic, A-Group culture, C-Group culture, Kerma Culture, Middle Kingdom of Egypt, New Kingdom of Egypt, Napata, Meroë, X-Group culture and medieval Makuria. The museum is located on Nile Avenue in Khartoum in al-Mugran area, close to the confluence of the White and the Blue Nile. During the 2023 Sudan conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, the National Museum of Sudan was the scene of heavy fighting, resulting in damage and looting.

The Tuti-Khartoum Bridge is a modern suspension bridge linking between Tuti Island and the City of Khartoum that was completed in February 2008. In the past the only approach to Tuti Island was via ferries but thanks to the Tuti-Khartoum Bridge, easy access to the island is possible. The Tuti Bridge in Khartoum is considered to be the first suspension bridge to be constructed in Sudan and one of the first constructed in Africa. The concept design of the bridge was proposed by Alfatih Ahmed, with the final working design by A&A Company Its construction depended on new bridge technology, enabling the erection to be carried out using local expertise & equipment. The Tuti-Khartoum Bridge is the first among a series of bridges that will connect the cities of Khartoum, Omdurman and Bahri (North Khartoum), and will help to alleviate traffic throughout the cities. The development has immediately commercialised the previously isolated Tuti Island.

The Central Bank of Sudan (Arabic: بنك السودان المركزي) was the central bank of Sudan. The bank was formed in 1960, four years after Sudan's independence. It was located in the capital Khartoum. In April 2023, the Central Bank of Sudan was hit, and destroyed.

The Souq al Arabi (Arabic: السوق العربي, lit. 'Arab Market') is the largest open-air market in Khartoum, Sudan.

The Ministry of Information (Arabic: وزارة الإعلام) in Sudan, previously known as the Ministry of Culture and Information (Arabic: وزارة الثقافة والإعلام), is a governmental organisation that oversees the management and distribution of information related to the nation's affairs. The structure of this ministry has seen numerous alterations over time.

The Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company (GNPOC) is a petroleum exploration and production company operating in Sudan. It was incorporated on 18 June 1997 and undertook construction of the Greater Nile Oil Pipeline which links Sudan's inland oil fields with refineries at Khartoum and Port Sudan. The GNPOC concession in the Western Upper Nile area includes the large Unity and Heglig oil fields plus smaller fields at El Toor, El Noor, Toma South, Bamboo, Munga and Diffra.
