Haina River

Bajos de Haina (Standard Spanish pronunciation: [ˈbaxos ðe ˈajna]), mostly known simply as Haina, is a town and municipality in the San Cristóbal Province, of the Dominican Republic. It is close to the capital Santo Domingo, and may be regarded as part of the metropolitan area of Greater Santo Domingo.

The Haina Occidental Port (often referred to as "Rio Haina") is located in the Haina River, Dominican Republic near Santo Domingo. President Trujillo inaugurated Haina Occidental Port on 1953.

Manoguayabo is a small sector of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. It is mainly populated by the lower class, and has a large Haitian migrant population. It is one of the poorest sectors around the Santo Domingo area. Herrera used to be the hub of most Dominican airlines before being closed in 2006 and replaced by La Isabela International Airport, also in Santo Domingo. The airport had domestic flights and connections to Puerto Rico, Cuba, and other Caribbean islands.

María Montez is a Santo Domingo Metro station on Line 2. It was open on 1 April 2013 as part of the inaugural section of Line 2 between María Montez and Eduardo Brito. It is currently the western terminus of the line. The adjacent station is Pedro Francisco Bonó.This is an underground station built below Avenida John F. Kennedy. It is named in honor of Maria Montez.
