Ulvsunda Castle

Ulvsunda is a district in Bromma in western Stockholm, just east of Stockholm Bromma Airport, built around Ulvsunda Castle, a 17th-century castle.

Stora Mossen metro station is a station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is located on the border between the districts of Ulvsunda and Stora mossen, which are part of the borough of Bromma in the west of the city of Stockholm. The station is on an embankment and has a single island platform, with access from a pedestrian subway under the line linking Drottningholmsvägen and Stora Mossens Backe. The distance to Slussen is 9 km (5.6 mi).The station lies on the route of a line known as the Ängbybanan that formerly linked Alvik and Islandstorget. The Ängbybanan was designed and built for use by the future metro, but was operated from 1944 as part of line 11 of the Stockholm tramway. Stora mossen station was inaugurated as part of the metro on 26 October 1952 with the conversion of the Ängbybanan and its extension to form the metro line between Hötorget and Vällingby.

Lillsjön (Swedish: The Small Lake) is a small lake in Bromma, a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden. It is one of four lakes in the western suburbs, along with Kyrksjön, Judarn, and Råcksta Träsk. Located in the small park Lillsjöparken and surrounded by heavily trafficked artery roads on all sides, it is rich in nutrients with high levels of metals in the sediments. Prospects are to improve the water quality to keep the lake as a locale for birds.

Abrahamsberg is a station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro. It is located on the border between the districts of Ulvsunda and Abrahamsberg, which are part of the borough of Bromma in the west of the city of Stockholm. A stoneware frieze in the ticket hall, created by Rigmor Roxner was installed in 1999.

Huvudstabron (Swedish: "The Huvudsta Bridge") is a bridge in Sweden. Stretching over Bällstaviken it connects the industrial area Ulvsunda in the municipality Stockholm to the city district Huvudsta in the municipality Solna. I first bridge at the location was put forward in the 1930s, but was never realized until the general plan of 1960 when plans for the never realized arterial road Huvudstaleden was being discussed. Huvudstabron was built 1964–67 as a first stage in the project.It is a pre-stressed concrete structure, 286 metres in length with six spans of which the central passing over the strait below is the longest with a span of 100 metres; it is 28.2 metres wide with two 3 metres wide footways separated from the roadway by railings; and a horizontal clearance of 24 metres.

Solna strand (known as Vreten until 18 August 2014) is a subway station on the Stockholm metro blue line. It was opened on 18 August 1985 as part of the extension between Västra skogen and Rinkeby and is located in the Huvudsta region of the Solna Municipality. The platform is located in bedrock, 28 m (92 ft) below ground level under Vretenvägen. The entrance is in the north end at Korta gatan. The station's theme is defined by artwork created by the Japanese-Swedish sculptor Takashi Naraha in 1985 called Himmelen av kub (The heaven of cube). It is located in and named after Solna Strand, a former industrial area on the shore of Lake Mälaren that has since developed into an area of office buildings. Organisations here include the Swedish Tax Authority, Hewlett-Packard and Axfood. There is also a power plant by the coast. Until 2014 the area was called Vretens industriområde (Vreten industrial area), after the farmstead called Vreten which was located here in the 19th century. Solna Business Park is located across the Mälaren Line railway to the north, and the Sundbyberg Municipality districts Lilla Alby and Central Sundbyberg are located to the west.

Abrahamsberg is a residential district in the Västerort section of Stockholm Municipality, Sweden, and part of the Bromma borough. It is bordered by Riksby, Stora Mossen, Ålsten, Olovslund and Åkeslund and is served by the Abrahamsberg metro station. The district was developed with small blocks of flats in yellow brick, and is therefore sometimes called den gula staden (the yellow city). As of December 2013 it had 3,154 residents.

Lilla Alby is a district in the southern corner of Sundbyberg Municipality, Sweden. It lies southwest of the railway Mälaren Line. It is separated from Bromma (Stockholm Municipality) by bay Bällstaviken (part of lake Mälaren) to the southwest, and borders Solna Municipality to the south and east, and Centrala Sundbyberg to the north. Lilla Alby has 4,235 citizens (as of 2013).

Alvik metro station is a station on the Green line of the Stockholm metro, and on the Tvärbanan and Nockebybanan lines of Stockholm tramways. It is located on the border between the districts of Traneberg and Alvik, which are part of the borough of Bromma in the west of the city of Stockholm. The station is one of the intermediate termini along the northern section of the Green line, with line 18 trains normally terminating, and is also the terminus of the Nockebybanan.Alvik station has tracks on two levels, both above ground. The higher level has two island platforms aligned east-west and serving four tracks. The outer pair of tracks are through tracks used by metro trains, whilst the inner pair of tracks are used to terminate Nockebybanan trams, thus providing cross-platform interchange between the Nockebybanan and metro. The lower level, which is at street level, has a pair of side platforms, aligned north-south and just to the west of the higher level platforms, which are used by trams on the Tvärbanan.At the west end of the station, a complex set of elevated tracks ensures that metro trains and trams on both lines are segregated from each other. The metro and the Nockeby tramway are also connected by shared tracks (electrified with both third rail and overhead lines) to the nearby Brommadepån tram depot. Metro trains terminating at Alvik use reversing tracks within the depot to switch between westbound and eastbound metro platforms. A curved tunnel also connects the depot to the lower Tvärbanan tracks, thus allow stock interchange between the two tram lines.

Sundbybergs centrum (Sundbyberg Centre) is a metro station, located in Sundbyberg Municipality, approximately 8 km (5.0 mi) from the centre of Stockholm. It opened on 19 August 1985 as part of the extension to between Västra skogen and Rinkeby. The metro station is connected to a stop on Tvärbanan with the same name, as well as to the railway station Sundbyberg served by the Stockholm commuter rail and long-distance trains.

Central Sundbyberg (Centrala Sundbyberg) is considered the oldest and most original part of Sundbyberg Municipality in Sweden. It is one of Stockholm's oldest satellite towns. Its proximity to Stockholm City Centre, nostalgic environment and well-connected transportation networks has made this part of town an attractive housing area. Forms of public transport include the Stockholm Metro (Tunnelbanan), Stockholm commuter rail (Pendeltåg) and SL buses. Trams returned to Sundbyberg in 2013 after 54 years of absence when Tvärbanan was expanded from Alvik to Solna. Tracks are laid in one of the main streets with two stops in this area. On the small streets of Central Sundbyberg, there are boutiques, restaurants, banks and other important services.

Traneberg is a residential district in western Stockholm (Västerort) and part of the Bromma borough. For the 1912 Summer Olympics, Tranebergs Idrottsplats hosted some of the football competitions. Most of the district was built between 1934 and 1940.
