Barton Coliseum

The James Mitchell School is a historic school building at 2410 South Battery Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. The oldest portion of the building is a four-room structure designed by Charles L. Thompson and built in 1908. It was enlarged several times, notably by Thompson in 1910 (adding four rooms), and Thomas Harding, Jr. in 1915 (again adding four rooms), and 1952. Harding's addition gave the building its prominent Classical Revival entrance portico. The school property includes two outbuildings that also houses classrooms. The school was originally a segregated facility, serving only white students, but the end of segregation (achieved in Little Rock in the early 1970s) transformed the school into one that served its predominantly black neighborhood. It was closed in 2005.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. In 2017, the Charter Authorizing Panel of the Arkansas Department of Education approved a proposal to open a K-5 charter school, ScholarMade Achievement Place, in the Mitchell building, targeting an opening date for the 2018–2019 school year.

The Empire Life Insurance in America Building is a historic commercial building at 2801 West Roosevelt Road in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was built in 1959–60 to a design by the Little Rock firm of Wittenberg, Delony, and Davidson, and is a significant local example of the International style of commercial design. It is a two-story structure of steel and concrete, predominantly faced in glass, aluminum, and fieldstone. The building was given an award by the regional branch of the American Institute of Architects in 1961.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.

The Lamb-McSwain House is a historic house at 2124 Rice Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a single-story wood-frame structure, clad in a brick veneer with half-timbered wood and stucco gables. It is a sophisticated expression of Craftsman style, with sloping square paneled columns supporting the porch, and gables with extended eaves supported by large brackets. The house was built in 1926 by John W. Lamb, a United States Postal Service employee, and is architecturally significant as a rare local example of a house built from mail-order blueprints (still in the current owner's possession) by an African-American.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The Charles Clary Waters House is a historic house at 2004 West 22nd Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a two-story wood-frame structure, with a gabled roof, weatherboard siding, and a brick foundation. Its prominent feature is a massive temple-front portico, with two-story fluted Ionic columns supporting a dentillated entablature and fully pedimented gable. The house was built in 1906, and is a prominent local example of Classical Revival architecture. It was from 1911 to 1927 home to Charles Clary Waters, a prominent local attorney who served for many years as a US District Attorney.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Dunaway House is an historic house at 2022 Battery in Little Rock, Arkansas. Designed in the Craftsman Style, it is located on a boulevard on Battery Street. The two-story brick house is in the Central High School Neighborhood Historic District. It was designed by architect Charles L. Thompson of Little Rock in 1915. The Dunaway House features a terra-cotta gable roof with a portico over an arched entrance. It has a south-facing two-story wing with a hip roof. The house was listed individually on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Maxwell F. Mayer House is a historic house at 2016 Battery Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Built 1922–25, it is a two-story Tudor Revival structure, designed by Little Rock architect Maximilian F. Mayer. The styling is unusual for its neighborhood, which consists mainly of Craftsman and Colonial Revival houses. It has a side-gable roof with a large projecting gable at the right end, whose right roofline descends to the first floor to shelter a porte-cochere.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The Roselawn Memorial Park Gatehouse is a historic cemetery office building in Roselawn Memorial Park, a large public cemetery at 2801 Asher Avenue in Little Rock, Arkansas. It stands just inside and to the left of the main gate. It is a single story building, with a gable-on-hip roof, stuccoed walls, and a foundation whose exterior is finished in rough cobblestone. At either end of its main facade are two arches, lined with red brick, providing access to the recessed building entrances. Similar arches on the side walls give the recess a porch-like feel. The building was designed by Thompson and Harding, and built in 1924. It is the only known gatehouse design of firms associated with Arkansas architect Charles L. Thompson.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Central High School Neighborhood Historic District in Little Rock, Arkansas comprises the area surrounding Little Rock Central High School. The area was designated to provide historic context to the National Historic Landmark school. It includes the restored Magnolia Gas Station, which was a staging area for the media during the school integration crisis of 1957. Until the early 21st century, this building served as the National Park Service visitor center for the historic district. Residences in the surrounding area include bungalows, Tudor Revival and Colonial Revival styles.

The Pearson–Robinson House is a historic house at 1900 Marshall Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a 2+1⁄2-story brick building, with a dormered hip roof, and a broad porch extending across the front. The porch is supported by brick piers, and has a bracketed eave. It was built in 1900 by Raleigh Pearson, and was purchased in 1903 by future United States Senator and Governor of Arkansas Joseph Taylor Robinson. It has also been home to Governors George W. Hays, Charles H. Brough, Thomas C. McRae, and Tom Jefferson Terral.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The Green House is a historic house at 1224 West 21st Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a single-story wood-frame structure, with front-facing gable roof and weatherboard siding. A section with a smaller gable projects forward, and the main entrance on the left side, under a projecting gable. All gables have exposed rafter ends in the Craftsman style. It was built in 1916, and was from the 1930s home to the Ernest Green family, whose son Ernest, Jr. was the first African-American student to graduate from Little Rock Central High School.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The J.P. Runyan House is a historic house at 1514 South Schiller Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a 1+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure, with a dormered and flared hip roof and weatherboard siding. The roof extends in front over a full-width porch, with Classical Revival columns supporting and matching pilasters at the corners. The roof dormers have gable roofs, and have paired sash windows, with fish-scale cut wooden shingles in the gables and side walls. It was built in 1901 for Joseph P. Runyan, a local doctor, and was later briefly home to Governor of Arkansas John Sebastian Little.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

The Arkansas Teachers Association Headquarters Building and Professional Services Building are a pair of historic commercial buildings at 1304 and 1306 Wright Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Occupying adjacent lots with a shared parking area and landscaping, the two buildings are both single-story brick structures, designed by George Tschiemer & Associates and built in the early 1960s. The buildings were listed as a pair on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018, for the role of the Arkansas Teachers Association, an association of African-American educators, in its work during the Civil Rights Era of the 1960s to end segregation in the state.
