Prenzlauer Allee is a railway station in the Prenzlauer Berg neighbourhood of Berlin, named after the Prenzlauer Allee road. Situated on the Berlin Ringbahn, it is served by the S-Bahn lines , , and . The station is barrier-free.

The Zeiss Major Planetarium (German Zeiss-Großplanetarium) is a planetarium in Berlin and one of the largest modern stellar theatres in Europe. It was opened in 1987 on the borders of the Ernst-Thälmann-Park housing estates in the Prenzlauer Berg locality of Berlin. Planning for the area commenced with old gas works to be torn down by 1981. The 750 anniversary of Berlin gave an opportunity to the communist government to create a new style of housing estates with decorative high-rise residential buildings, a cultural centre with restaurants and a planetarium supposed to be larger than the old one in the Archenhold Observatory of Berlin. The building from architect Erhardt Gißke was opened on schedule on 9 October 1987. The dome of the main hall has a diameter of 23 metres (75 ft) and it is currently equipped with a Universarium IX planetarium projector from Carl Zeiss AG. The building is not only used for astronomy shows; the dome hall with 292 seats also allows for music concerts and audio drama, with a regularly-scheduled "audio theatre under a starry sky" (German: Hörspielkino unterm Sternenhimmel) running since 1995. There is also a café and a movie theatre with 160 seats. The dome hall has not only a planetarium projector but also up to 100 slide projectors, a laser show installation, and sound equipment, including a recording studio to create new shows. The planetarium has 90,000 visitors every year.

Prenzlauer Berg (German pronunciation: [ˌpʁɛnt͡slaʊ̯ɐ ˈbɛʁk] (listen)) is a locality of Berlin, forming the southerly and most urban district of the borough of Pankow. From its founding in 1920 until 2001, Prenzlauer Berg was a district of Berlin in its own right. However, that year it was incorporated (along with the borough of Weißensee) into the greater district of Pankow. From the 1960s onward, Prenzlauer Berg was associated with proponents of East Germany's diverse counterculture including Christian activists, bohemians, state-independent artists, and the gay community. It was an important site for the peaceful revolution that brought down the Berlin Wall in 1989. In the 1990s the borough was also home to a vibrant squatting scene. It has since experienced rapid gentrification.

Ernst-Thälmann-Park is a park in the centre of the Prenzlauer Berg district in Berlin. It was laid out in 1986 at the site of a former coal gas plant and named after the former Communist party leader Ernst Thälmann (1886-1944). The former plant built in 1874 was closed in 1981, the last gasometer was demolished in 1984. In honor of Berlin's 750-year jubilee the East German government drew up plans for an "inhabited park", including a memorial, a public pool, a planetarium, a school and a housing estate for 4,000 residents. The park was inaugurated on 16 April 1986, Thälmann's hundredth birthday. The former use of the area left an extensive contamination of soil and groundwater with cyanides, phenols and tar that after German reunification had to be cleared by excavation and bioremediation. Though there had been some discussion about the name, a majority of dwellers voted against a change in 1997. Today the park features public houses as well as art galleries and a small theatre at the former administrative building of the gas plant. The Ernst Thälmann bronze monument with a height of 14 m (46 ft) was created by Soviet sculptor Lev Kerbel between 1981 and 1986. Some plaques with political slogans were removed in the 1990s. The monument remains a protected landmark today. Since the early 2000s the Ernst Thälmann bronze monument has become a famous skateboarding spot with professionals from all over the world visiting the site. Memorable skateboarders such as Dylan Rieder and Kenny Hopf have performed their outrageous trickery at the venue. Hopf even filmed a full video part at the historical site during COVID-19-lockdown in 2020.

Gethsemane Church (German: Gethsemanekirche) is one of four church buildings of the Lutheran Northern Prenzlauer Berg Evangelical Congregation (German: Evangelische Kirchengemeinde Prenzlauer Berg-Nord), within the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia, an umbrella organisation which includes Lutheran, Reformed, and United Protestant Calvinist congregations. Gethsemane Church is the best known church in the locality of Prenzlauer Berg, in Berlin's borough of Pankow. The church was named after the Garden of Gethsemane (Old Aramaic גת שמנא, transliterated Gath Šmānê, Hebrew: גת שמנים, translit. Gath Šmānîm, lit. "oil press", transliteration in Greek: Γεθσημανή Gethsēmanḗ) at the foot of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Christians revere the place as it was where the Twelve Apostles and Jesus of Nazareth prayed on the eve of his crucifixion. The church and its congregation played a crucial role before and during the Wende (or peaceful revolution) in the former German Democratic Republic (East Germany) in the autumn of 1989. The church was built between 1891 and 1893 erected following the plans of August Orth, the city's Baurat.

Rykestrasse Synagogue, Germany's largest synagogue, is located in the Prenzlauer Berg neighbourhood in the Pankow borough of Berlin. Johann Hoeniger built the synagogue in 1903/1904. It was inaugurated on 4 September 1904, in time for the holidays of and around Rosh Hashanah. The synagogue stands off the street alignment and is reached by a thoroughfare in the pertaining front building.

Kollwitzplatz is a city square in the Berlin district of Prenzlauer Berg, district of Pankow. The square forms the center of the so-called "Kollwitzkiez". It was named, on 7 October 1947, after the German graphic artist and sculptor Käthe Kollwitz, who spent a large part of her life here in the house at Weissenburger Straße No. 25 (destroyed in the war, since 1947 property Kollwitzstraße No. 56a). Until then, it was called Wörther Platz; a name that was given to it when the area was planned for construction in 1875. Indirectly, this name is also a reminder of her husband Karl Kollwitz, who worked here as a physician until 1940 and thus shaped the area around the square independently of his wife. The triangular complex is bordered by Kollwitzstraße, Knaackstraße and Wörther Straße (with Husemannstraße branching off from it). In total, the square is about 6000 m2 in size.

The Wasserturm Prenzlauer Berg is Berlin's oldest water tower, completed in 1877 and in use until 1952. The structure was designed by Henry Gill and built by the English Waterworks Company. It is situated between Knaackstraße and Belforter Straße in Kollwitzkiez, in the Prenzlauer Berg locality of Berlin (part of Pankow district) and worked on the principle of using piped water to supply the rapidly growing population of workers.

The Museum in the Kulturbrauerei is a museum of contemporary German history. The permanent exhibition focuses on everyday life in the German Democratic Republic. It is located in the Kulturbrauerei building complex in Prenzlauer Berg district (Borough of Pankow) in Berlin, Germany. The subject of the permanent exhibition presented by the Museum in the Kulturbrauerei is "Everyday life in the GDR". It shows the complex tension between the expectations of the political system and the real living conditions of the people in the GDR. The Industrial Design Collection brings together products, posters, archive materials and photographs to document the history of design and culture in everyday life in the Soviet Occupied Zone/East Germany. The exhibition consists of around 800 original objects as well as over 200 documents, film and sound recordings and biographical reports.The Museum in the Kulturbrauerei opened its doors for visitors in November 2013. It is located in the former Schultheiss brewery, which is now a listed site. The Foundation Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland developed this historical building for a modern museum. Admission is free.The museum offers a free audioguide to the permanent exhibition in English, German, Spanish, French and Italian.

Knaack (German: Knaack-Klub) was a nightclub in Prenzlauer Berg in Berlin, Germany. It opened in 1952 as a youth club and occasional disco. It then developed during the East German era into a live music venue where many notable German bands played regularly. Gentrification of the surrounding area in the late 2000s led to complaints about the club's noise from residents of newly constructed apartment buildings nearby. A court case resulted, placing restrictions on the noise levels, which the owners judged made the club financially untenable, resulting in its closure on 31 December 2010. After efforts to reopen in another district, the club secured new premises in Prenzlauer Berg and announced in February 2013 that they planned to reopen in 2016. Delays due to construction permits pushed these plans back to 2018.

Berlin Schönhauser Allee is a railway station in the Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin. It is located on the Berlin U-Bahn line and also on the Ringbahn (Berlin S-Bahn). Built in 1913 by A.Grenander opened as "Bahnhof Nordring". As the station was well accepted the roof was elongated in 1925 and a new entrance build. In 1936 the station was named "Schönhauser Allee". On an average day approximately 500 trains and more than 26000 people cross this station.At this station, the elevated U2 crosses the below-ground S-Bahn, while at the other crossing of the U2 and the Ringbahn, Messe-Nord/ICC S-Bahn station and Kaiserdamm U2 station, the U2 crosses S-Bahn below-ground on the bottom deck of a road bridge.
