Tullibardine railway station served the town of Tullibardine, Perth and Kinross in Scotland.

Tullibardine Chapel is an ancient church building in Tullibardine, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It is one of the most complete medieval churches in Scotland. A large part of it dating to 1446, it is now a scheduled monument.The chapel was built by Sir David Murray, Baron of Tullibardine (formerly of Ochtertyre), of Tullibardine Castle, as a family chapel and burial site. Members of the Murray family (subsidiaries of the Dukes of Atholl) were buried there until 1900. An armorial plaque on the north external wall of the chancel displays the coat of arms of David and his wife, Isabel Stewart.The chapel was rebuilt or extended with transepts and a small tower around 1500 by David's grandsons, William Murray (died 1513), who built the "part towards the west where his father's coat of arms is impaled," and Andrew Murray. Arms on the south transept gable relate to the marriage of Andrew Murray and Margaret Barclay. They were ancestors of the Murray of Balvaird family.The chapel has remained unaltered to this day.

The Community School of Auchterarder (TCSoA) (formerly Auchterarder High School) is a small to medium-sized school with a nursery, primary and secondary department located in Auchterarder, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. The school also contains a modern leisure complex consisting of a large indoor hall and outside all-weather courts, which is also home to Auchterarder Gymnastics Club. The school continues to grow with more than 500 pupils in both Primary and Secondary. The building of various housing developments in the local area have contributed to the increasing roll. In addition to the Primary pupils within the Community School of Auchterarder, the feeder schools for the Secondary are Dunning Primary, Aberuthven Primary and Blackford Primary. The 3rd Curtis Cup Match was played on 6 May 1936 on the King's Course at Gleneagles Hotel in Auchterarder, Perthshire, Scotland. The match ended in a tie at 41⁄2 each and the United States, as the holders, retained the trophy.The final match to finish was between Jessie Anderson and Leona Cheney. America led 41⁄2–31⁄2 and had already retained the Cup but Britain could still tie the contest. Anderson and Cheney were all square after 17 holes. Cheney took 5 at the last but Anderson holed a putt of 7 or 8 yards for a 4, to win her match and tie the contest.

The 40th Ryder Cup matches were held 26–28 September 2014 in Scotland on the PGA Centenary Course at the Gleneagles Hotel near Auchterarder in Perth & Kinross. This was the second Ryder Cup held in Scotland; it was previously at Muirfield in 1973. The team captains in 2014 were Paul McGinley for Europe and Tom Watson for the USA. Europe were the defending cup holders, having won in 2012 at Medinah Country Club near Chicago. Europe won the 2014 competition to retain the Ryder Cup, defeating the US by 161⁄2 points to 111⁄2, for their third consecutive win. From 1995 to 2014, Europe won eight out of ten Ryder Cups.

The 2018 European Golf Team Championships men's team event was an event forming part of the 2018 European Golf Team Championships tournament being played in August 2018 at Gleneagles, Scotland. 16 two-player teams took part in the competition.The event was part of the 2018 European Championships, the inaugural edition of the European Championships, a multi-sport event which is to take place in Berlin, Germany, and Glasgow, Scotland from 2 to 12 August 2018. Sweden 3 took the title from the France 2 team on a second play-off hole - in effect the 20th hole, having finished all square after 18. The Great Britain 3 team won bronze.

Gleneagles Hotel is a hotel near Auchterarder, Scotland. It was commissioned by the Caledonian Railway and opened in 1924. The bandleader Henry Hall performed at the hotel before the Second World War during which it served as a military hospital. There are three tournament-standard golf courses in the grounds and the hotel was redeveloped for the 40th Ryder Cup in 2014. Significant conferences at the hotel have included the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 1977 and the 31st G8 summit in July 2005. It is a Category B listed building.

Eleven four-player teams took part in the competition.The event was part of the 2018 European Championships, the inaugural edition of the European Championships, a multi-sport event which is to take place in Berlin, Germany, and Glasgow, Scotland from 2 to 12 August 2018. In a surprise victory, Iceland took the title by one stroke from the Great Britain 3 team. The Sweden 2 team won bronze in the first hole of a playoff with Spain.

The 2019 Solheim Cup was the 16th edition of the Solheim Cup matches, held from 13 to 15 September at the Gleneagles PGA Centenary Course in Scotland. The Solheim Cup is a biennial team competition between the top women professional golfers from Europe and the United States. It is a three-day match play event between teams of twelve players with a similar format to the Ryder Cup. Juli Inkster captained the U.S. team for the third time and Catriona Matthew captained the European team for the first time.After the first two days the competition was tied at 8-all. Europe won the singles 61⁄2–51⁄2 to win the Cup for the first time since 2013.
