Brindley Farm is a historic home and farm located near Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. The house, known as Crooked Billet, was built about 1750, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay, stone structure, with later rear wings and a modern side porch. Also on the property are a contributing frame barn and carriage house, dated to 1807. The property has been owned by only two families since 1750, and the house once operated as an inn or tavern. The Du Pont family has owned the property since 1864.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Holladay-Harrington House is a historic estate located at Greenville, New Castle County, Delaware. It was designed about 1927 by noted Delaware architect E. William Martin. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, three bays wide, stuccoed dwelling in the Colonial Revival style. The house has a hipped roof with wide overhanging eaves, projecting pavilion-like side sun porches, and French doors in all three first floor bays. The property includes a contributing garage, three small greenhouses, driveway pillars, fountain and concrete pool, retaining wall, metal fencing with grape design near greenhouses, and landscape features.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Areas zoned to AI come from portions of Wilmington and several suburbs, including Greenville, most of Hockessin, a portion of North Star, and Centreville, as well as nearby Breck's Mill. In Wilmington, it serves the historic districts of Cool Spring Park, Delaware Avenue, and Wawaset Park.In 2020, the high school was the site of the first campaign event featuring Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris.

St. Joseph on the Brandywine, originally Saint Joseph's Church until St. Joseph's Church- Wilmington was built in 1947, is a parish of the Roman Catholic Church in Greenville, New Castle County, Delaware, in the Diocese of Wilmington. It is noted for its historic parish church complex and national historic district located on Old Church Road. Since 2002 its old convent building has housed the Diocesan Archives of Wilmington, with records spanning the last two centuries of church activity in Delaware. It is also the home parish of the 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden.

Westover Hills is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. Westover Hills is located west of North Dupont Road between Delaware Route 48 and Delaware Route 52 west of Wilmington.

Breck's Mill Area, also known as Breck's Mill Area-Henry Clay Village Historic District, is a national historic district located along Brandywine Creek in unincorporated New Castle County, Delaware, near Wilmington. It encompasses 56 contributing buildings, five contributing sites, and three contributing structures. The district encompasses The Mill, The Workers' houses, and The Mill Owner's Home. Breck's Mill was built in 1813 and rebuilt in 1846 after a fire. It is a three-story, stone structure measuring 55 feet by 43 feet. It features a stone bell tower with a top floor of brick. The Henry Clay Village area includes small single or double workers' houses, the Charles I. du Pont house (1823), Ernest du Pont house (1916), William F. Raskob house , Hagee's Tavern, Greenhill Presbyterian Church, and the original building for the Alexis I. duPont High School (1893). "Rokeby" was built in 1836, and is a two-story, rectangular dwelling in a late Federal style. It measures 55 feet wide and 26 feet, 4 inches, deep, and features a two-story portico overlooking the Brandywine. It was built by mill owner William Breck for his new wife Gabrielle du Pont and is thought to be modeled on Louviers. The mill closed in 1854. It has been a recreational center off and on since 1890. Breck's Mill houses the post office for Montchanin, Delaware, Somerville Manning Gallery, and André Harvey's sculpture studio. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971 and amended in 1988.

Dawn Career Institute, located in Newark, Delaware, is a private post-secondary institution of higher education serving Delaware, south-central and south-eastern Pennsylvania, and northern Maryland. The institute offers both campus-based and online career-focused diploma programs, leading to professional certifications and licenses in a variety of healthcare and wellness fields. Dawn Career Institute was founded April 1, 1976 as an aviation school. On February 12, 1999, the school became Dawn Training Centre, and in October 2009, the school changed its name again to Dawn Career Institute. The campus moved to its current location at 252 Chapman Road, Newark, DE on December 22, 2017. This 25,047-square-foot facility provides updated classroom and lab spaces, as well as a brand new computer lab, and dedicated areas for the Learning Resource Center and Career Services Department as a center hub of the campus. DCI is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). It is approved by the State of Delaware Department of Education as a Private Business and Trade School and for Veteran's (VA) training. The institution is also approved by the U.S. Department of Education to administer Title IV Pell Grants, Direct Student Loans (DSL), and Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students (PLUS).

Walker's Mill and Walker's Bank, also known as Simsville, Siddall's Mill, and "Big White Mill", is a historic spinning cotton mill and worker's dwelling block located near Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. Walker's Mill was built between 1813 and 1815, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, "T"-shaped, stone building.

Along Delaware Route 141 there are a number of historic sites that trace the history of both the Du Pont family and the DuPont company. At the southwest end is DuPont’s Chestnut Run Plaza and at the northeastern end is the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. Between are a number of sites on the National Register of Historic Places. The historic locations include equal portion of the history of the American chemical industry, the role of the DuPont family - their estates and gardens - and the philanthropy of a distinguished American family.

Montchanin Historic District is a national historic district located at Montchanin, New Castle County, Delaware. It encompasses 19 contributing buildings centered on the triangular area which was the original village of Montchanin. Notable buildings include the frame, stick-style railroad station (1889), stuccoed stone schoolhouse (1890), a stone bank barn, the blacksmith shop, and various cottages, dating from circa 1840 through the early-20th century.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.Most or all of the village is currently included in the Inn at Montchanin Village, a hotel which is a member of Historic Hotels of America.

Montchanin is an unincorporated community in New Castle County, Delaware, United States. Montchanin is located at the intersection of Delaware Route 100 and Kirk Road to the northwest of Wilmington.The community received a post office and permanent railroad station in 1889, at which time it acquired the name Montchanin in honor of Anne Alexandrine de Montchanin, mother of Pierre Samuel du Pont de Nemours. Prior to that time, the village rail stop was named DuPont Station in honor of the nearby duPont powder works.The Jacob Broom House, a National Historic Landmark, is located there. The Jacob Broom House, Montchanin Historic District, and Strand Millas and Rock Spring are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
