Leeds is an unincorporated community in southwestern Chester County, South Carolina in the Piedmont of South Carolina. Leeds is a small unincorporated community located at an elevation of around 387 feet.

The Sandy River and its tributary the Little Sandy River are short rivers in north-central South Carolina in the United States. The Sandy is a tributary of the Broad River; via the Broad and Congaree Rivers, it is part of the watershed of the Santee River, which flows to the Atlantic Ocean.The Sandy River flows for nearly its entire length in Chester County. It rises near Lowrys, about 7 mi (11 km) north-northwest of the town of Chester, and flows generally southwestwardly; about 1 mi (2 km) of its lowermost course is used to define the boundary between Chester and Fairfield Counties. It flows into the Broad River from the east on this boundary, in the Sumter National Forest, about 3 mi (5 km) southwest of the town of Carlisle.The Little Sandy River, also known historically as "Hueys Creek" and "Prices Fork", flows for its entire length in southern Chester County, rising about 5 mi (8 km) south of the town of Chester and flowing westwardly to the Sandy River about 4 mi (7 km) northeast of the Sandy's mouth at the Broad River.

Colvin–Fant–Durham Farm Complex, also known as the Nicholas Colvin House and Durham House, is a historic home and farm complex and national historic district located near Chester, Chester County, South Carolina. The district encompasses six contributing buildings. The house was built about 1835, and is a vernacular farmhouse with transitional Federal and early Greek Revival detailing. The house consists of a two-story, hall and parlor plan, frame main block and a one-story, frame dining room and kitchen ell, which was added in the late-19th century. The property also includes a smokehouse, well house/power house, mule barn, tenant house, and a log cottonseed house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Chester State Park is located near the town of Chester in Chester County, South Carolina. The 523-acre (2 km2) park was developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps on land purchased in 1935.The park's 523 acres include a 160-acre (65 ha) lake, a 450-foot (140 m) long fishing pier/walking bridge connecting the opposite sides of the lake, with a two-mile (3.2 km) nature trail that follows along the shoreline up to the Civilian Conservation Corps built stone spillway. Jon boat & canoe rentals are popular in the warmer months, and the park also offers a boat ramp for visitors with electric or hand-powered personal boats. Picnicking, rental picnic shelters and a large playground system are located along the shoreline. As of November 16, 2013, Chester State Park also offers the first SC State Park tournament sanctioned disc golf course. This 27 hole course has three loops suitable for professional, tournament play with 18 of these holes having alternative tee's for beginner/amateur level players.Lakeview Hall, a fully enclosed meeting facility overlooking the park lake, is regularly used for weddings, reunions, and corporate meetings. Boy Scouts, church groups, and many other organized groups frequent the primitive group camping area throughout the year. Chester State Park's 25-site campground is open year-round and has many sites that may accommodate anything from single tents to 40-foot (12 m) RVs.

Chester City Hall and Opera House is a historic city hall and theatre located at Chester, Chester County, South Carolina. It was built in 1890–1891, and is a Romanesque Revival style brick building. The façade consists of three sections: a four-story tower, gabled three-story central section, and a less ornate three-story section. The interior was renovated following a fire in 1929, which destroyed the original spire tower containing a four-faced clock. Since 1891, this building has housed the town's administrative offices.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Kumler Hall is a historic dormitory that was part of the Brainerd Institute, in Chester, Chester County, South Carolina. Brainerd Institute was one of the earliest and finest of the many private schools established for African-American freedmen in South Carolina in the years just after the American Civil War. The school operated from about 1868 until 1940 by the Board of Missions of the Presbyterian Church. Kumler Hall was built about 1916, and is a brick two-story boys dormitory. It has a central longitudinal hallway opening onto the porch, with a central single-flight stairway and classrooms and dormitory rooms opening on either side on both floors and the basement.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
