Glenmount, Montreal

Canora is a future station on the Réseau express métropolitain, expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2024. It is located in the Glenmount neighbourhood of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, just east of the Town of Mount Royal. The platforms are located northwest of the west portal of the Mount Royal Tunnel. Until May 2020, Canora was a commuter rail station on Exo's Deux-Montagnes line and Mascouche line.

Mont-Royal is a provincial electoral district in Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It is located within the island of Montreal, and comprises the city of Mount Royal and part of the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough of Montreal. It was created for the 1973 election from parts of D'Arcy-McGee, Dorion and Outremont electoral districts. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, its territory was unchanged. Following the change in the 2017 electoral map, the riding will be dissolved into D'Arcy-McGee and the new riding of Mont-Royal–Outremont.

The Mount Royal Tennis Club has been the most-used venue for Canada hosting Davis Cup ties. It has been the country's most prominent grass court Davis Cup venue. The MRTC has played host to 28 Davis Cup ties between 1923 and 1964. All but the last of these ties was played on grass courts—the 1964 tie was played on clay. Only three other Davis Cup ties played in Canada have ever been on grass, one held at the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club in 1952, one at the Victoria Lawn Tennis Club on Vancouver Island in 1956, and one held at the Hollyburn Country Club in Vancouver in 1992.As of 2009, the club has been operating for 102 years.

Mount Royal (French: Mont-Royal) is a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1925. Its population in 2006 was 98,888. The riding is among the strongest Liberal ridings in the country. Réal Caouette, long-time leader of the Social Credit Party in Quebec, once said that a mailbox could win the Liberal nomination in Mount Royal and still win election just because it was red (the traditional colour of the Liberal Party). The Liberals have held the riding continuously since 1940, and have only been seriously threatened three times since then—in 1958, 1984 and 2011. Its best-known MP is former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, who represented the riding from 1965 to 1984. Its current MP, Anthony Housefather, was elected on 19 October 2015, garnering 50.3% of the vote, and was profiled as one of 10 rookie MPs to watch in the new parliament.The riding's English name was eliminated in the 2012 electoral redistribution but was reversed by the Riding Name Change Act, 2014. The riding has a large Jewish population, the second-largest in Canada at 30.7 percent. It is one of only two ridings in Canada with a Jewish plurality (the other being Thornhill in the Regional Municipality of York in Ontario).

Mount Royal (French: Mont-Royal, officially Town of Mount Royal, French: Ville de Mont-Royal, abbreviated TMR, French: VMR) is an affluent on-island suburban town located on the northwest side of the eponymous Mount Royal, northwest of Downtown Montreal, on the Island of Montreal in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It is completely surrounded by Montreal. The population was 20,953 as of the 2021 Canadian census. In 2008, most of the Town of Mount Royal was designated a National Historic Site of Canada, as a "[remarkable] synthesis of urban renewal movements of the early 20th century, reflecting the influence of the City Beautiful, Garden City and Garden Suburb movements". The town celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2012.

The Reginald J. P. Dawson Library (French: Bibliothèque Reginald-J.-P.-Dawson) is the public library of Mount Royal, Quebec, Canada. It was founded in 1952 and moved to its current facility at 1967 Graham street in 1967. In 1976 it was named after the mayor of the city, Reginald J.P. Dawson, who was in office from 1951 to 1987. The building was expanded in 2012–2013 from 1,700 to 3,100 square metres using plans by architect Pierre Morency. The library was computerized in 1998.

Northmount High School is a defunct English-language secondary school which was operated by the Protestant School Board of Greater Montreal in the Côte-des-Neiges area of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It opened in 1957. It was later known as Shadd Academy. In its early years the school was predominantly Jewish, and later predominantly Caribbean.

Ville-de-Mont-Royal is a future Réseau express métropolitain station, expected to open in 2024. It is located in Mont Royal, Quebec, about 700 metres (2,300 ft) northwest of Canora station. Until May 2020, this station was named Mont-Royal and was a commuter rail station operated by Exo. It was served by the Deux-Montagnes line and Mascouche line until its closure in 2020.

The Island of Montreal (French: Île de Montréal) is a large island in southwestern Quebec, Canada, that is the site of a number of municipalities including most of the city of Montreal and is the most populous island in Canada. It is the main island of the Hochelaga Archipelago at the confluence of the Saint Lawrence and Ottawa rivers.

Plamondon station is a Montreal Metro station in the borough of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is operated by the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) and serves the Orange Line. It is located in the Snowdon neighbourhood of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. It opened on June 29, 1982 and replaced Côte-Sainte-Catherine station as the Orange Line's western terminus until the extension to Du Collège station was completed in 1984.

Le Sanctuaire du Mont-Royal (also known as Le Sanctuaire) is a multi-phase condominium, commercial, athletic and medical complex located in the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood near the Outremont neighbourhood of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The complex consists of seven phases (buildings), which contain a total of 925 residential units. Le Sanctuaire was built by Montreal-based luxury developer René Lépine Sr., head of Groupe Lépine.In total, the buildings amount to 139,355 square meters, which make them over 1.5 million square feet in size. The facades of the buildings are made of reinforced concrete. Construction officially started in 1981 and the buildings were completed in 1990. The project is considered by many to be an iconic modern Montreal landmark.

Ruisseau-De Montigny Nature Park (French: Parc-nature du Ruisseau-De Montigny) is a large nature park in the Rivière-des-Prairies neighbourhood of the Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles borough of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is located on the banks of the Rivière des Prairies. Most of the park is located in the western sector of the borough Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles (Rivière-des-Prairies neighbourhood), with a small portion located in the eastern sector of the borough of Anjou. Ruisseau-De Montigny Nature Park is a linear park, and is located between Perras Boulevard and Henri-Bourassa Boulevard, west of Louis-Hippolyte-Lafontaine Boulevard. The park borrows its name from a stream flowing through it from south to north, emptying into the Rivière des Prairies. This stream, which flows directly over limestone rock, has a waterfall with a drop of 3 metres (9.8 ft).It includes 3.3 kilometres (2.1 mi) of trails, and four small islands.A count of the wildlife in the park indicated the presence of 62 species of birds and a dozen different species of mammals.
