Harvington Hall

Chaddesley Corbett is a village and civil parish in the Wyre Forest District of Worcestershire, England. The Anglican and secular versions of the parish include other named neighbourhoods, once farmsteads or milling places: Bluntington, Brockencote, Mustow Green, Cakebole, Outwood, Harvington, and Drayton.

Spennells is a suburb of Kidderminster, Worcestershire about a mile south of the town centre. It is located just to the east of the A449 and the railway line between Worcester and Kidderminster. There is a lake (known as Captain's Pool) and Kidderminster Golf Club is just to the north. The Spennells Valley nature reserve is nearby. Many of the streets on the major housing estate are named after birds. The area has several shops including a supermarket, a pharmacy, a florist, a hairdresser, a hospice shop, and two takeaway restaurants. Spennells has a primary school, Heronswood Primary School (Spennells Community Primary School).

The grave of John Bonham, the drummer of the English rock band Led Zeppelin, can be found at the parish church. An episode of the BBC Radio 4 Countryside Magazine Open Country featured 400 years of Rushock agricultural history.

Blakedown is a village in the Wyre Forest District lying along the A456 in the north of the county of Worcestershire, England. Following enclosures and the arrival of the railway, it developed both agriculturally and industrially during the 19th century. Due to its transport links, it now serves mainly as a dormitory for the neighbouring town of Kidderminster and for the cities of Birmingham and Worcester.

Tanwood is a hamlet in the English county of Worcestershire. It lies about one mile northeast of the village of Chaddesley Corbett and forms part of the district of Wyre Forest.

Blakedown railway station serves the English village of Blakedown, Worcestershire. It was opened (as Churchill station) in 1852, later becoming known for a time as Churchill & Blakedown after the two villages became a single parish. The station is unstaffed, with only a basic shelter on each platform. There is a level crossing immediately to the west of the platforms, and in the absence of a footbridge or subway this is also the only method for passengers to cross the tracks. The platforms were lengthened in the 1990s to allow longer trains to call (see image - the hollow space and the white fence mark the extension). This is because Blakedown is within the Birmingham commuter band and over the twenty years between 1998 - 2018 usage of the station has increased by 147%. Currently there is a proposal to develop a car park on an adjacent field site to cater for further anticipated growth.Since August 2012 the signalling system has been altered, with the former signal box having been closed and control of the nearby crossing and signals transferred to the West Midlands SCC at Saltley. The old signal box was then acquired by the Churchill and Blakedown Historical Society for their headquarters and was shifted across the road to a site adjoining the station in 2016.

Drayton is a hamlet in Worcestershire, England which remains part of the ecclesiastical parish of Chaddesley Corbett, which from its select vestry formed a civil parish and which also continues.Belne Brook, which originates in the Clent Hills and is a tributary of the River Stour, flows equally through Belbroughton immediately upstream and through Drayton.

Wyre Forest School (formerly Stourminster Special School) is a school in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, for students with complex special needs, and about one fifth of the students are on the autistic spectrum continuum. It caters for ages 7 to 16 and has about 120 mixed gender students on roll. The school has a very wide catchment area and students come from varied social backgrounds. The school was established on 1 September 2011, following a merger of Stourminster Special School and Blakebrook Special School and will continue to operate from existing premises until new accommodation has been built in the Habberley Learning Village that houses Baxter College and St. John's CE Primary School.An April 2007 Ofsted report accorded the school a Grade 2 (Good).

Churchill Forge Mill, situated in the Worcestershire village of Churchill, is one of the last water-powered forge mills remaining in an intact state in the UK and as such is an important example of the industrial heritage of the West Midlands. Part of the site has been restored to working condition and is now maintained and operated by the Churchill Forge Trust.
