Excellence Canada is a nonprofit organization that specializes in the training, implementation and certification of organizational excellence in Canada. Excellence Canada is also the custodian and adjudicator of the Canada Awards for Excellence, under the Patronage of David Johnston C.C., C.M.M., C.O.M., C.D., the Governor General of Canada.

The Sun Life Centre in Toronto, Ontario (also known as 150 King Street West) was built in 1984 to house the Toronto operations of Sun Life Financial, serving as the insurance company's global headquarters until 2017. The Sun Life Financial Tower is known as an architectural symbol of modernism, located in the heart of Toronto's financial district at 150 King Street West.Construction of the stainless steel and glass high-rise structure was completed in 1984 and was originally developed to house the head office of Sun Life 9, now Sun Life Financial. Toronto's Sun Life Centre/150 King W. complex should not be mistaken for the Sun Life Building in Montreal, the original global headquarters before Sun Life moved its HQ from Quebec to Ontario in 1976, after the election of the first PQ government. Sun Life moved its global headquarters from 150 King to the newly named Sun Life Financial Tower at One York in Toronto's South Core district in 2017. Sun Life retains ownership over 150 King Street West and has leased the roughly 150,000 square feet of space it vacated.

The Union Building is an older building in Toronto that has been described as an "architectural gem". When it was built, in 1908, on the Northwest corner of King and Simcoe streets, it was directly across from the palatial official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. The six story structure was built on a site that was originally part of the home of Upper Canada College. The building was designed by the firm Darling and Pearson, and was originally known as the Canadian General Electric Company Building. A seventh floor and copper clad mansard roof was added in the 1980s.In 2010 City of Toronto government staff recommended the building be granted heritage protection under the Ontario Heritage Act. The building had been listed on the City's Inventory of Heritage Properties since 2007. In December 2020, a 1,017 ft. (310 m) addition to the Union Building was proposed with a planned completion date of 2026. If it is built, it will become one of the tallest buildings in Canada.

The Bank of Canada Building in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, was one of the regional offices for the central bank. It was built in 1957–1958 with vaults for gold and cash for banks in the Greater Toronto Area. The central bank's regional offices are now at Sun Life Financial Tower at 150 King Street West.The building was designed by Canadian architect Ferdinand Herbert Marani and British-born Canadian architect Robert Schofield Morris (1898–1964), with a modern take of classical architecture. The building had mostly a simple clean façade but featured two carvings: bas-relief designs on north and south façade by sculptor Cleeve Horne (1912-1998) and as well as the Arms of Canada on the front entrance by Louis Temporale (1909-1994).

The Adam Beck Memorial is a memorial in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in honour of the founder of Ontario Hydro, Sir Adam Beck. It is located in the landscaped median of University Avenue just south of Queen Street West. Designed by sculptor Emanuel Hahn, the monument was the first place entry in a design competition for a memorial to commemorate Adam Beck. It was unveiled in 1934.

The Canadian Opera Company (COC) is an opera company in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the largest opera company in Canada and one of the largest producers of opera in North America. The COC performs in its own opera house, the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. For forty years until April 2006, the COC had performed at the O'Keefe Centre (now known as Meridian Hall).

The Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts is a 2,071-seat theatre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, located at the southeast corner of University Avenue and Queen Street West, across from Osgoode Hall. The land on which it is located was a gift from the Government of Ontario. It is the home of the Canadian Opera Company (COC) and the National Ballet of Canada. The building's modernist design by was created by Canadian firm Diamond and Schmitt Architects, headed by Jack Diamond. It was completed in 2006, and the interior design includes an unusual glass staircase.

St. Andrew is a subway station on Line 1 Yonge–University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located under University Avenue where it is intersected by King Street West. St. Andrew's Church is a historic Presbyterian church located at the corner of King Street West and Simcoe Street in the city's downtown core of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was designed by William George Storm in the Romanesque Revival style and completed in 1876.

Lord Simcoe Hotel was one of many now vanished hotels in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Built in 1956, the 20-storey concrete and glass modernist structure was designed by Henry T. Langston and Peter Dickinson. The hotel was named for John Graves Simcoe, Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada and a resident of York, Upper Canada (now Toronto). The name was somewhat incorrect as Simcoe was never called himself a Lord. Located on the northeast corner of King Street and University Avenue (150 King Street West), it was closed in 1979 and torn down in 1981. It was replaced by the Sun Life Centre East Tower in 1984. The hotel was unable to compete with other downtown hotels due to a lack of central air conditioning and convention space. It consistently lost money over its 24-year existence.

Osgoode is a subway station on Line 1 Yonge–University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The station, which opened in 1963, is located under University Avenue where it is crossed by Queen Street West and is named for the nearby Osgoode Hall, which honours William Osgoode, the first chief justice of Upper Canada. Canada's Walk of Fame (French: Allée des célébrités canadiennes) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a walk of fame that acknowledges the achievements and accomplishments of Canadians who have excelled in their respective fields. It is a series of maple leaf-like stars embedded in 13 designated blocks' worth of sidewalks in Toronto in front of Roy Thomson Hall, The Princess of Wales Theatre, and The Royal Alexandra Theatre on King Street as well as Simcoe Street. The first group was inducted in 1998, and it now includes 204 Canadian activists, scientists, philanthropists, athletes, coaches, actors, directors, writers, producers, musicians, comedians, cartoonists, models and others.
