Zikhron Moshe

Edison Theater was a movie theater, cultural center and concert venue in the Zichron Moshe neighborhood of Jerusalem. The theater opened in 1932 and closed down in 1995.

Kikar HaShabbat (Hebrew: כיכר השבת, lit., "Sabbath Square"), known in the Haredi community as Kikar HaShabbos, is a major intersection joining five streets in Jerusalem, Israel, between Mea Shearim and Geula: Yehezkel Street from the north, Malkhei Yisrael Street from the west, Mea Shearim Street from the east, Straus Street from the southeast, and Yisha'ayahu Street from the southwest.From the early years of the State of Israel, this intersection became a site of friction between religious and secular Jews over issues of Sabbath observance. Rallies and demonstrations held at this spot have sometimes turned violent. Due to its central location, the intersection is also a gathering place for community and holiday events, such as the second hakafah (ritual circling) held on the night after Simhat Torah.

The Nebi Akasha Mosque (Arabic: النبي عكاشة), also Okasha mosque or Ukasha mosque, is a historic mosque and maqam located in Jerusalem.

Kerem Avraham, in English Abraham's Vineyard, is a neighbourhood near Geula in central Jerusalem, founded in 1855. It is bounded by Malkhei Yisrael Street, Yechezkel Street, Tzefanya Street, and the Schneller Compound. The 1855 mission house was one of the first structures to be built outside the Old City of Jerusalem; the others are the Schneller Orphanage, the Bishop Gobat school, Mishkenot Sha’ananim, and the Russian Compound.

Straus Street (Hebrew: רחוב שטראוס, Rehov Straus) is a north-south road in north-central Jerusalem. It starts at Jaffa Road and extends to Kikar HaShabbat (Sabbath Square), which marks the intersection of five streets: Straus Street, Yeshayahu Street, Malkhei Yisrael Street, Yehezkel Street, and Mea Shearim Road. The street was named for Nathan Straus, a prominent American merchant and Jewish philanthropist in the early twentieth century.

Davidka Square (Hebrew: כיכר הדוידקה, Kikar HaDavidka) is a public square at the intersection of Jaffa Road, Street of the Prophets, and Pines Street in West Jerusalem. Its official name is Kikar Haherut (כיכר החירות‎, Freedom Square). It features a small memorial to the Davidka, a homemade Israeli mortar used in the defense of Jerusalem and other cities during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War.

A suicide bombing took place on June 11, 2003, on Egged bus line 14a at Davidka Square in the center of Jerusalem. 17 people were killed in the attack and over 100 people were injured. Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack.

The Batei Warsaw (Warsaw Houses) quarter in Mea She'arim neighborhood of Jerusalem was built in the Ottoman period as a by Kollel Polen (Poland) Warsaw, for Polish Torah scholars. Their families receive apartments for key money or low rent. The neighbourhood consists of two rows of two-story houses parallel with the “Mea Shearim” Street and “Chayei Adam” Street. Kollel Polin Warsaw established the neighbourhood for poor scholars. Raising money to build the area began in 1885. the land was purchased in 1891 by Joshua Helfman. Although the lot was purchased already in 1891, fundraising difficulties delayed the construction of the neighbourhood. In 1894, philanthropist Rabbi Shraga Jacob ben R' Isaac of Lublin Tennenwurzel donated the rest of the money and the houses were named "נחלת יעקב" ("inheritance of Jacob"). In a newspaper report (חבצלת May 13, 1898) stated: the now consist 65 houses for rentals, for five years per family, after which it leave the apartment to other members of the Kollel. In 1924, the philanthropist David Weingarten donated money to add a second story.

Ezrat Yisrael (Hebrew: עזרת ישראל, "Help of Israel") is a former courtyard neighborhood in Jerusalem. The neighborhood consisted of buildings on either side of a lane, today named Ezrat Yisrael Street. The street is blocked on one end and opens onto Jaffa Road on the other end.

Mahane Yehuda Police Station is a historic two-story building located at 107 Jaffa Road in Jerusalem. Constructed in stages during the nineteenth century, it was built to house the British Consul-General of Jerusalem, Noel Temple Moore, and his family, and was home to other British consuls until World War I. In 1920, when the British mandatory government went into effect, the house was converted into a police station. Following the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948, the Jerusalem District lost and found department was added to the police station. The building is noted for the two stone lions mounted on pillars that originally flanked the entrance in the wall surrounding the property. During infrastructure work for the construction of the Jerusalem Light Rail, the wall and front garden were removed to accommodate the widening of the street and sidewalk. The lion pillars were moved next to the building's entrance, which is now accessed directly from the sidewalk.

Jerusalem–Central railway station (Hebrew: תחנת הרכבת ירושלים – מרכז, Tahanat HaRakevet Yerushalayim–Merkaz; Arabic: محطة أورشليم – مركز) is a proposed railway station in Jerusalem.

Bikur Cholim Hospital (Hebrew: בית החולים ביקור חולים) was a 200-bed general hospital in West Jerusalem, established in the 19th century and closed due to financial difficulties in the second decade of the 21st century. Until then, it was the oldest hospital in the country still operating. Bikur Cholim had obstetrics and cardiac departments, a modern neonatal intensive care unit, a pediatrics department, and bariatric and plastic surgery units. After 2010 it treated some 60,000 patients annually. With 700 administrators, doctors, nurses, technicians and cleaners, it was one of Jerusalem's largest downtown employers. One-third of the doctors were Israeli Arabs, many of whom chose Bikur Holim for their residencies.In December 2012 the hospital was taken over by Shaare Zedek Medical Center and continued to function as a branch of Shaare Zedek. The main hospital was then closed down, with the building on Haneviim (Prophets') Street, the maternity ward, which serves the residents of the nearby neighborhoods and various clinics, continuing to operate. At the same time, plans were submitted to the planning authorities for the restoration of the historic structure and its integration into a complex that includes commercial and housing areas. In 2020 the authorities have decided to also close the maternity ward, following guidelines which require such wards be located next to hospitals that can provide special medical services in case they are needed.
