Shepton Beauchamp is a village and civil parish, 1 mile (2 km) from Barrington and 4 miles (6 km) north east of Ilminster between the Blackdown Hills and the Somerset Levels in the South Somerset district of Somerset, England.

Hurcott Lane Cutting (grid reference ST398163) is a 0.48 hectare geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Somerset, notified in 1996.

Barrington Court is a Tudor manor house begun around 1538 and completed in the late 1550s, with a vernacular stable court (1675), situated in Barrington, near Ilminster, Somerset, England. The house was owned by several families by 1745 after which it fell into disrepair and was used as a tenant farm. After repair by architect Alfred Hoare Powell (1865–1960), it was acquired by the National Trust in 1907, on the recommendation of the antiquarian Canon Hardwicke Rawnsley (1851–1920). It has been described as the first house acquired by the National Trust, although Alfriston Clergy House, a more modest property, was acquired earlier. In the 1920s the house was renovated after Colonel Lyle and his wife 'Ronnie' agreed to take on a ninety-nine year repairing lease from the Trust, and work began in 1921. The stable block turned into a residence and several outbuildings, gardens and gateways were constructed. The house was originally surrounded by a medieval deer park and in the 17th century a formal garden was constructed. This had largely disappeared until a new garden was laid out by garden designer Gertrude Jekyll (1843–1932) in an Arts and Crafts-style. It now contains walled kitchen gardens, fruit orchards and ornamental gardens.

Seavington St Michael is a village and civil parish in Somerset, England. It is situated next to the village of Seavington St Mary, about 3 miles (4.8 km) east of Ilminster, within the South Somerset district. It lies in a hollow within a larger area of low-lying hills and valleys running broadly east-west. A part of the South Petherton Hundred, originally the area included seven settlements (seven tons) which have gradually merged or vanished, but were the origin of the "Seavington" part of the village name.

The Church of St Mary in Seavington St Mary, Somerset, England, dates from the 15th century and is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.The former Anglican parish Church of St Mary has 13th-century origins, but the current building is largely from the late 15th century, with restoration around 1880. The three-stage tower is from the 16th century, and contains six bells. Three of these date from 1621 and were made by George Purdue of Closworth; the others are from the 20th century, and were made by John Taylor & Co in Loughborough.The parish was previously held as a chapelry of South Petherton by Bruton Abbey and after the Dissolution of the Monasteries belonged to Bristol Cathedral.It is a redundant church in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church was declared redundant on 1 July 1983, and was vested in the Trust on 15 May 1985.

Even in the 20th century Seavington Abbots was recognised as a separate entity, although it is first recorded in 1030, when it was given by Canute to Athelney Abbey.

There is an unusual octagonal tower, which includes a bell dating from 1743 and made by Thomas Bilbie of the Bilbie family.The south transept includes a 13th-century canopied piscina. There is a 19th-century panelled pulpit which may contain fragments of an earlier construction.The parish is part of the benefice of Winsmoor within the deanery of Crewkerne and Ilminster.

The church, which is 62 by 12 feet (18.9 m × 3.7 m) is built of local Ham stone with a ham stone roof.The parish is part of the Winsmoor benefice within the Crewkerne and Ilminster deanery.

Seavington St. Mary (grid reference ST400144) is a 0.3 hectare geological Site of Special Scientific Interest near the village of Seavington St Mary in Somerset, notified in 1971. Extensive exposures through much of the Inferior Oolite. This is the most westerly outcrop of this formation in England. It is thus of considerable importance in interpreting the local stratigraphy and sedimentology in relation to the palaeogeography of south-west England in Middle Jurassic times. A valuable Aalenian - Bajocian locality affording a prime educational and research facility.

Stocklinch is a village and civil parish 3.5 miles (6 km) north-east of Ilminster in the South Somerset district of Somerset, England.

Burrow Hill Cider Farm is a cider farm in Somerset, England at the base of Burrow Hill overlooking the Somerset Levels. It has views of most of South Somerset on clear days. The cider is made in traditional vats and uses age old traditional methods of production. Every October is "Apple Day" when the apples are harvested from locally owned orchards. In 2003 the company won the NFU Great British Food Award.
