Barrington is a village and civil parish, situated 10 miles (16.1 km) south east of Taunton and 10 miles (16.1 km) west of Yeovil in Somerset, England. The village has a population of 438.The village is located on the southern edge of the Somerset Levels and many of the houses are built from cob and thatched with local reeds.

The Church of St Mary Magdalen in Stocklinch, Somerset, England, dates from the 13th century. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is dedicated to Jesus' companion Mary Magdalene. The church, which is 62 by 12 feet (18.9 m × 3.7 m) is built of local Ham stone with a ham stone roof.The parish is part of the Winsmoor benefice within the Crewkerne and Ilminster deanery.

Barrington Court is a Tudor manor house begun around 1538 and completed in the late 1550s, with a vernacular stable court (1675), situated in Barrington, near Ilminster, Somerset, England. The house was owned by several families by 1745 after which it fell into disrepair and was used as a tenant farm. After repair by architect Alfred Hoare Powell (1865–1960), it was acquired by the National Trust in 1907, on the recommendation of the antiquarian Canon Hardwicke Rawnsley (1851–1920). It has been described as the first house acquired by the National Trust, although Alfriston Clergy House, a more modest property, was acquired earlier. In the 1920s the house was renovated after Colonel Lyle and his wife 'Ronnie' agreed to take on a ninety-nine year repairing lease from the Trust, and work began in 1921. The stable block turned into a residence and several outbuildings, gardens and gateways were constructed. The house was originally surrounded by a medieval deer park and in the 17th century a formal garden was constructed. This had largely disappeared until a new garden was laid out by garden designer Gertrude Jekyll (1843–1932) in an Arts and Crafts-style. It now contains walled kitchen gardens, fruit orchards and ornamental gardens.

Shepton Beauchamp is a village and civil parish, 1 mile (2 km) from Barrington and 4 miles (6 km) north east of Ilminster between the Blackdown Hills and the Somerset Levels in the South Somerset district of Somerset, England.

The Church of St Michael in Shepton Beauchamp, Somerset, England is built of local hamstone, and has 13th-century origins, although it has been extensively changed since then, with major renovation in 1865 by George Edmund Street. It has been designated as a Grade I listed building.The building is of lias and Ham stone and is made up of a chancel with a north chapel and a vestry, a nave and tall three-stage west tower, dating from 1477, which was largely rebuilt in the 16th century. It has set-back buttresses ascending to the shafts of former pinnacles, set off with an embattled parapet and gargoyles. There are two-light traceried bell-chamber windows with stone grilles, continuing as blank openings on the ringing chamber below. There are clocks with Roman numerals to the west and south faces and a higher polygonal stair-turret to the north corner. The tower holds eight bells several of which date back to 1738 and were made by the Bilbie family.The former rectory, now called Beauchamp Manor, was built in 1874 for the rector V.S.S. Coles to house his curates and visitors.The parish is part of the Winsmoor benefice within the Crewkerne and Ilminster deanery.
