Augustiner-Keller is a traditional restaurant and beer garden in the Maxvorstadt district of Munich, Germany. The restaurant was opened in the first half of the 19th century and is one of the most popular beer gardens in Munich. Augustiner-Keller at Arnulfstraße 52 sells beer by Augustiner-Bräu, the oldest brewery in Munich.

Zentraler Omnibusbahnhof München (ZOB München, Central bus station Munich) is a central bus station located in Maxvorstadt, Munich, Bavaria, Germany. The terminal has an area of 17,221 square metres (185,370 sq ft). The bus station was established on 11 September 2009 and is a major transportation hub for bus and train with national and international traffic. The bus station also has spacious offices and retail space for retailers that give it an airport-like character. The nearest S-Bahn station is Munich Hackerbrücke station.

The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (German: Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, BRSO) is a German radio orchestra. Based in Munich, Germany, it is one of the city's four orchestras. Munich Hackerbrücke station is a station opened in 1972 on the Munich S-Bahn network below Hackerbrücke (Hacker bridge) that is close to Munich Central Station (German: Hauptbahnhof). It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 3 station and has a 211 metre long central platform between two platform tracks and is located directly in front of a 3.2 percent drop into the S-Bahn trunk line tunnel. Immediately to the south is the Munich Hauptbahnhof signal box, which monitors and controls all the track work at the Central Station and on the adjoining lines (excluding the S-Bahn). Particularly during the periods of the Oktoberfest, this station is important because it is only about 650 metres from the main venue at Theresienwiese. Munich Hackerbrücke is served by the S-Bahn lines 1 to 8. Only the S-Bahn lines S 20, S 27 and A do not operate here. In addition to the S-Bahn station, the tram stop of the same name is located on the adjacent street called Arnulfstraße and is served by tram lines , and . The Munich central bus station opened north of the station on 11 September 2009.

München Hauptbahnhof or Munich Central Station is the main railway station in the city of Munich, Germany. It is one of the three stations with long-distance services in Munich, the others being München Ost and München-Pasing. München Hauptbahnhof sees about 450,000 passengers a day, which puts it on par with other large stations in Germany, such as Hamburg Hauptbahnhof and Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 1 station, one of 21 in Germany and two in Munich, the other being München Ost. The mainline station is a terminal station with 32 platforms. The subterranean S-Bahn with 2 platforms and U-Bahn stations with 6 platforms are through stations.The first Munich station was built about 800 metres (2,600 ft) to the west in 1839. A station at the current site was opened in 1849 and it has been rebuilt numerous times, including to replace the main station building, which was badly damaged during World War II.

The Munich S-Bahn (German: S-Bahn München) is an electric rail transit system in Munich, Germany. "S-Bahn" is the German abbreviation for Stadtschnellbahn (literally, "urban rapid rail"), and the Munich S-Bahn exhibits characteristics of both rapid transit and commuter rail systems. The Munich S-Bahn network is operated by S-Bahn München, a subsidiary of DB Regio Bayern, which is itself a subsidiary of the German national railway company, Deutsche Bahn. It is integrated into the Munich Transport and Tariff Association (Münchner Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund, MVV) and interconnected throughout the city with the locally owned Munich U-Bahn. Today, the S-Bahn covers most of the populated area of the Munich metropolitan area of about 2.7 million inhabitants. The Munich S-Bahn was established on 28 May 1972. It was intended as part of the scheme to provide an adequate transport system during the 1972 Summer Olympics held in Munich by connecting the pre-existing suburban rail services in the west and east of the city via a new tunnel section from Hauptbahnhof to Ostbahnhof.

The Hackerbrücke (Hacker Bridge) is a road bridge across the main railway line in Munich immediately west of the town's central station. The first bridge was built at the beginning of the 1870s. In 1890-94 this was replaced by a new bridge, constructed by the Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg ("Augsburg-Nuremberg machine factory"). It was partially destroyed during the second world war and restored in 1952–3. Six iron arches, 28.8 metres wide and eight metres high, carry the road; pairs of stone pillars support the arches. The bridge gives its name to the S-Bahn station Hackerbrücke, which is beneath the bridge and can only be accessed from it.

The Bavarian War College, also Bavarian Staff College (Ge: Bayerische Kriegsakademie) was the highest military facility to educate, instruct, train, and develop general staff officers. It was active from 1867 to the beginning of World War I in 1914. For a better comparison, equivalent institutions of other countries were those like the older and ten times larger Prussian War College of the Prussian Army in Berlin or the k.u.k Kriegsschule (also a War College) of the Austrian Army in Vienna. The War College was subordinated to the Inspektion der Militärbildungs-Anstalten, a department of the Ministry of War, which was responsible for all training and institutions of the Bavarian Army.
