The Porter Building is a historic building listed on the National Register of Historic Places located in the Downtown Historic District of Woodland, California.

Woodland is a city in and the county seat of Yolo County, California, located approximately 15 miles (24 km) northwest of Sacramento, and is a part of the Sacramento metropolitan area. The population was 61,032 at the 2020 census. Woodland's origins date to 1850 when California gained statehood and Yolo County was established. Since then the town has grown steadily. The area was well irrigated due to the efforts of James Moore, which drew people into farming as the soil was very fertile. The city gained a federal post office and the next year the county seat was moved from Washington (present day West Sacramento, California) to Woodland after Washington was flooded. The addition of a railroad line to Sacramento, and the more recent addition of Interstate 5, helped the city to thrive.

The Woodland Public Library is the oldest, and one of the last functioning Carnegie-funded libraries in California. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing property of the Downtown Woodland Historic District.

The Yolo County Courthouse was a courthouse for the Superior Court of California in Yolo County in Woodland, California until 2015. The original building was erected in 1864, and was used for 37 years until condemned in 1911. The edifice, built in the same location in 1917, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, and is also a contributing property in the Downtown Woodland Historic District.

The Gable Mansion is a Victorian mansion in Woodland, California, listed as a California Historical Landmark, that was built in 1885 for Amos and Harvey Gable, two Yolo County pioneers and ranchers.

The Superior Court of California, County of Placer, is the branch of the California superior court with jurisdiction over Placer County. The main court was in the county seat of Auburn from its inception, with satellites in the county's townships, until it moved to Roseville in 2008.

Reiff's Gas Station Museum is a museum of American car memorabilia in Woodland, California. It was founded in 2000. The museum collection includes antique gas pumps, an antique gas station, a 1956 Chevrolet tow truck, a diner, a general store, a movie theater, a car crash, an airplane crash, vintage gas station signs and logos . The museum started in the residence of Mark Reiff. It now covers 10,000 square feet (900 m2) of exhibit space. A meeting room of 650 square feet (60 m2) and an outdoor patio of 900 square feet (84 m2) .The museum also provides photo shoot locations. Owners can bring their vintage cars to be photographed in the antique scenes within the museum. The museum hosts the annual Reiff's Street Bash in June.

The R. H. Beamer House, also known as the Beamer-Schell House, is a historic house located at 19 3rd St. in Woodland, California. Built in 1904, the house was designed in the Italianate style, of which it has been called "an outstanding example". The house's design features a hipped roof with two chimneys, wide eaves, and a denticulated cornice with many brackets. The front entrance is a portico supported by Corinthian columns and pilasters and topped by a balustrade. The front of the house features a two-story bay with three windows on each story; the south side of the house has a similar bay. The house was built for Richard Henderson Beamer, a prominent resident whom The Sacramento Union described as "Woodland's chief citizen". The onetime mayor of Woodland, Beamer also held many other political offices at the state and county level. Beamer also played an important role in local banking as a director and later president of the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Woodland. In addition, Beamer helped establish the Woodland Public Library and planted the trees in the surrounding park himself.The R. H. Beamer House was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 2, 1982.
