Falkenberg (Lüneburg Heath)

Lohheide is an unincorporated area in the district of Celle, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It covers an area of 91.32 square kilometres (35.26 sq mi) and has 764 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2006). Together with administrative area of Osterheide it is part of the Bergen-Hohne Military Training Area.

Becklingen is a German village in the Lower Saxon borough of Bergen in the northern part of Celle district on the Lüneburg Heath. Formerly an independent municipality, it is part of the town Bergen since 1971.

The Bergen-Hohne Training Area (German: NATO-Truppenübungsplatz Bergen or Schießplatz Bergen-Hohne) is a NATO military training area in the southern part of the Lüneburg Heath, in the state of Lower Saxony in northern Germany. It covers an area of 284 square kilometres (70,000 acres), which makes it the largest military training area in Germany. It was established by the German armed forces, the Wehrmacht, in 1935. At the end of the Second World War it was taken over by British occupying forces and some of its facilities used as a liberation camp for survivors of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, which was located on the edge of the training area near the town of Bergen. Under British control, the training area was steadily expanded and, since the 1960s, has also been used by the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) and other NATO troops.

The Sieben Steinhäuser is a group of five dolmens on the Lüneburg Heath in the NATO training area of Bergen-Hohne, in the state of Lower Saxony in northern Germany. The stones are considered to be part of the funnelbeaker culture (3500 - 2800 B.C.). The gravesite was granted protected cultural monument status in 1923.

Wense is a village in the Heidmark in Lower Saxony, Germany. In 1935/1936 its inhabitants were 'relocated', because the German armed forces, the Wehrmacht, wanted to establish a vast military training area in the Heidmark, which today is the largest in Europe (see Bergen-Hohne Training Area). Nowadays, Wense is in the unincorporated area of Osterheide.

The Großes Moor near Becklingen (German: Großes Moor bei Becklingen) is a nature reserve in Germany with an area of 850 hectares (2,100 acres), of which 666 hectares (1,650 acres) lie in Celle district and 184 hectares (450 acres) in Soltau-Fallingbostel district. Since 16 December 1985 the area has been protected under conservation law. An area of 776.6 hectares (1,919 acres) is designated as a special area of conservation (FFH-Gebiet). The name literally means "Large Bog near Becklingen" and it lies on the Lüneburg Heath, south of Wietzendorf and east of Becklingen, part of the borough of Bergen. The River Meiße has its source in this raised bog.

Brock is a village in the borough of Soltau in the Heidekreis district in the German state of Lower Saxony. The village has 158 inhabitants (as at: 2003). The hamlets of Bassel, Hebenbrock, Penzhorn and Imbrock are part of the parish. Brock lies on the Lüneburg Heath south of Soltau on the river Böhme. The B 3 federal road and the A 7 motorway run through the parish of Brock. The motorway junction of Soltau-Süd also lies within the parish. The council chair is Wulf Heinrich Lühr. The first two episodes of the TV series Die Kinder vom Alstertal were shot at a farm in Brock.

The village of Dorfmark is part of the borough of Bad Fallingbostel in Heidekreis district in the German state of Lower Saxony. Dorfmark has 3,469 inhabitants, over 22% of the borough's population, and an area of 15.48 square kilometres (3,830 acres), some 24% of the total area in the borough. The River Böhme flows through Dorfmark and discharges into the Aller between Hodenhagen and Rethem.

Osterheide is an unincorporated area in the district of Heidekreis, in Lower Saxony, Germany. The 177.99 square kilometres (68.72 sq mi) area has 2,463 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2020). Its administrative seat is the village of Oerbke; other villages are Ostenholz and Wense. The districts of Osterheide and Lohheide cover the Bergen-Hohne Military Training Area.

Walle is a village and Ortschaft (municipal division) of the municipality of Winsen (Aller) in Celle district, Lower Saxony, on the Lüneburg Heath in Germany.

Oerbke is an unincorporated German village in Soltau-Fallingbostel district in the southern part of the Lüneburg Heath in Lower Saxony. Oerbke lies on the A7 autobahn east of Bad Fallingbostel and is the seat of administration for the Osterheide area.

Heidekreis ("Heath district") is a district (Landkreis) in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is bounded by (from the north and clockwise) the districts of Harburg, Lüneburg, Uelzen, Celle, Hanover, Nienburg, Verden and Rotenburg.
