Kilkenny railway station is located on the Grange and Outer Harbor lines. Situated in the western Adelaide suburb of West Kilkenny, it is six kilometres from Adelaide station. It uses Caution More Than One Train lights, and was the first on the line to have such lights.

St. Sava Serbian Orthodox School is located in the suburb of Kilkenny in Adelaide, Australia. On the same land there is a hall for concerts when Serbian singers come to Adelaide, a bar, half a basketball court for kids to have a friendly game and there is also a church. West Croydon is an inner western suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. West Croydon has a population of 4,141 as of the ABS 2016 census, and is located 5 km west of the Central Business District of Adelaide. The population has changed greatly over the past 15 years as older residents move away, and younger residents move in. The Suburb is within the Federal seat of Adelaide and the City of Charles Sturt. Until the early 1920s the suburb was a farming area with infill occurring until the 1970s.

West Croydon railway station is located on the Grange and Outer Harbor lines. Situated in the western Adelaide suburb of West Croydon, it is 5.1 kilometres from Adelaide station.

Croydon is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. Named after the suburb of Croydon, it is a 18.78 km2 (7.25 sq mi) suburban electorate in Adelaide's inner north-west. In addition to Croydon, it includes Angle Park, Athol Park, Bowden, Brompton, Croydon Park, Devon Park, Dudley Park, Ferryden Park, Kilkenny, Mansfield Park, Regency Park, Renown Park, Ridleyton, West Croydon, Woodville Gardens; and parts of Allenby Gardens, Welland, and West Hindmarsh. Croydon was created in the 1998 electoral distribution as a safe Labor seat, replacing the abolished Spence. It was first contested at the 2002 state election, where it was won by future Attorney-General and Speaker Michael Atkinson, the previous member for Spence since 1989. The seat is split between the marginal federal seats of Adelaide and Hindmarsh and the safe federal Labor seat of Port Adelaide. Following the 2014 election Croydon became Labor's safest seat on an 18.9 percent margin. The 2016 redistribution by the electoral districts boundaries commission saw the northern boundary of Croydon district extended northwards from the vicinity of Regency Road to Grand Junction Road. The southwestern boundary also changed, with Beverley, Woodville Park, Hindmarsh and Flinders Park being absorbed by the neighbouring districts of Cheltenham and West Torrens. In February 2017, Atkinson announced his intention to resign from parliament and not recontest the seat as of the 2018 election. Upper house MP Peter Malinauskas succeeded him at the 2018 election.The 2020 redistribution added Kilburn and the north-west quarter of Prospect from neighboring Enfield. The parts of Allenby Gardens, Welland and West Hindmarsh were removed from and added to the electorate of West Torrens.

Hindmarsh was an electoral district of the House of Assembly in the Australian state of South Australia from 1938 to 1970. It was in the northwestern suburbs of Adelaide. Its boundaries were described in 1955 as follows: Commencing at the intersection of Findon Road with River Torrens; northerly along Findon Road; westerly along Trimmer Parade; north-easterly along Woodville and Henley Beach Railway; to the north-eastern boundary of Port Road; southeasterly along said boundary; north-easterly along the north-western boundary of preliminary section 376, Hundred of Yatala; south-easterly along Torrens Road; northerly along Days Road; easterly along the northern boundaries of section 394 and 377; southerly along Churchill Road; south-easterly along Torrens Road; south-westerly along Park Terrace; thence generally westerly along the River Torrens to the point of commencement. Hindmarsh was abolished in a boundary redistribution in 1970. The suburb of Hindmarsh is currently located in the safe Labor seat of Croydon.

Woodville Oval (currently Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval and formerly Unleash Solar Oval) is primarily an Australian rules football and cricket oval found on Oval Avenue in the western Adelaide suburb of Woodville South in South Australia. It is the home ground of South Australian National Football League (SANFL) club the Woodville-West Torrens Eagles, and the former home (1941–90) of the Woodville Football Club, with the former's clubrooms and administrations offices now housing The Eagles. The oval is also the home of the Woodville Cricket Club who play in the South Australian Grade Cricket League.

The City of Hindmarsh Woodville was a local government area in South Australia from 1993 to 1997 seated at the inner north west Adelaide suburbs of Hindmarsh and Woodville. It came into existence on 2 August 1993 with the amalgamation of the Town of Hindmarsh and the City of Woodville as the City of Hindmarsh and Woodville, following a Local Government Advisory Commission report on 16 July that was supportive of the merger. (It would later drop the "and" from its name.) The council was composed of a mayor, 6 aldermen and 22 councillors. It retained the eleven wards of its two predecessor councils (Albert Park, Beverley, Brompton-Bowden, Cheltenham, Croydon, Findon, Hindmarsh, Seaton, Semaphore Park, West Croydon and Woodville), each of which were represented by two councillors. John Dyer, the last mayor of Woodville, was appointed mayor at its inception and served throughout its existence. The council was short-lived, as on 1 January 1997 it amalgamated with the City of Henley and Grange to form the City of Charles Sturt.
