Honister Pass

Honister Crag is a fell in the English Lake District. It has a height of 634 metres. It is adjacent to Fleetwith Pike, a higher summit, but it can claim to be a fell in its own right, as it is a Nuttall – one of the hills in England and Wales that are at least 2,000 feet (610 metres) high with a relative height of at least 15 metres (49.2 feet).Honister Crag is of interest to rock-climbers.

Fleetwith Pike is a fell in the English Lake District in the county of Cumbria which reaches a height of 648 metres (2,126 feet). The fell is a well-known feature of the area as it casts an imposing presence over Buttermere and the Honister Pass on the B5289 motor road between Borrowdale and Buttermere.

Grey Knotts is a fell in the English Lake District. It is situated one kilometre (2⁄3 mile) south of the B5289 road as it crosses the Honister Pass. It is well seen from mid-Borrowdale as it rises above Seatoller. Grey Knotts reaches a height of 697 metres (2,287 feet) and is part of a ridge which ascends from the woodland behind Seatoller and continues south-west and then south for four kilometres to Great Gable. The fell's name really only applies to the summit rocks, but has been adopted for the entire fell with the high ground in this area, locally known as Seatoller Fell on Ordnance Survey maps.

Dale Head is a fell in the north-western sector of the Lake District, in northern England. It is 753 metres or 2,470 foot above sea level and stands immediately north of Honister Pass, the road between Borrowdale and Buttermere.

Hindscarth is a mountain between the valleys of Buttermere and Newlands, in the north-western part of the English Lake District. The fell's name is derived from two words from the Old Norse language, Hind and Skarth, and means the pass used by the red deer.

Brandreth is a fell in the English Lake District. It stands between Great Gable and Haystacks in the Western Fells.

Blackbeck Tarn is a small tarn in Cumbria, England, situated near the summit of Haystacks in the Buttermere Valley. At an elevation of 486 m (1,594 ft), the lake has an area of 0.95 hectares (2.3 acres) and measures 183 m × 80 m (600 ft × 262 ft), with a maximum depth of 2.5 m (8.2 ft).

The Honister Slate Mine in Cumbria is the last working slate mine in England. Quarrying for Westmorland green slate has been taking place in the area since 1728. Apart from the mining it is also a popular tourist attraction in the Lake District National Park.

Innominate Tarn is a small tarn in the north of the Lake District National Park in England. It is situated at 520 metres above sea level, near the summit of Haystacks. The word Innominate means "without a name". It was formerly known as Loaf Tarn.The tarn is the location where Alfred Wainwright's ashes were scattered. He had expressed this wish in Fellwanderer: The Story behind the Guide Books: "Every day that passes is a day less. That day will come when there is nothing left but memories. And afterwards, a last long resting place by the side of Innominate Tarn, on Haystacks, where the water gently laps the gravelly shore and the heather blooms and Pillar and Gable keep unfailing watch. A quiet place, a lonely place. I shall go to it, for the last time, and be carried: someone who knew me in life will take me and empty me out of a little box and leave me there alone. And if you, dear reader, should get a bit of grit in your boot as you are crossing Haystacks in the years to come, please treat it with respect. It might be me."

Robinson is a fell in the English Lake District, its southern slopes descending to Buttermere, while its northern side is set in the Newlands Valley. Paths lead to the summit from the village of Buttermere, from the nearby summit Dale Head and from various locations in the valleys to the north.

Gatesgarth is a settlement in Lake District of England. It is situated to the east of the lake of Buttermere, on the B5289 road on its western approach to the Honister Pass. For administrative purposes, Gatesgarth lies within the civil parish of Buttermere, the unitary authority of Cumberland, and the county of Cumbria. It is within the Workington constituency of the United Kingdom Parliament. Prior to Brexit in 2020 it was part of the North West England constituency of the European Parliament.

Base Brown is a fell in England's Lake District, near the head of the Borrowdale Valley. It forms one side of the Seathwaite Valley, and on the western side it is flanked by the hanging valley of Gillercomb.
