Grote of Sint-Laurenskerk (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɣroːtə ʔɔf sɪnt ˈlʌurənskɛr(ə)k]; English: Great, or St. Lawrence Church) is a Protestant church in Rotterdam. It is the only remnant of the medieval city of Rotterdam.

SkyView Rotterdam was a 45-meter-tall Ferris wheel in the center of Rotterdam. It opened to the public on September 4, 2018, and was decommissioned in July 2019. Some residents of Markthal protested its construction citing privacy concerns. It was expected to stay for five years, but operated for less than one year. It may relocate to Spain.

Amarone is a restaurant in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that is awarded one Michelin star in the period 2008–present. The owner and Head chef of Amarone is Jan van Dobben. Chef van Dobben worked together with Gert Blom for 6 years. Mr. van Dobben became the co-owner of the restaurant in 2017. 1 year later, in July 2018, he completely took over the restaurant from Mr Blom. Chef van Dobben remained, together with his wife, Yoshiko Takayama-van Dobben, Restaurant-manager Jasper Verhagen and Sous-chef Yuri Wattimena, his Michelin-star in December 2018. GaultMillau awarded the restaurant in 2019 with 15 out of 20 points. In 2019, Restaurant Amarone situated on the 60th place in the "Lekker 500"

Rotterdam Blaak is a railway and metro station in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Located in the centre of the city, not far from the cube houses and the Markthal, the station is served by trains operating on the Breda–Rotterdam railway between Rotterdam Centraal and Dordrecht. The first railway station at this location – then called Rotterdam Beurs – was opened on 2 May 1877. It formed part of a 2.2 km (1.4 mi) long viaduct. Destroyed during World War II, it was replaced by a new station, Rotterdam Blaak, in 1953. The underground metro station opened on 6 May 1982, with space reserved for a possible underground railway station directly underneath it. On 15 September 1993, this new underground railway station was opened, as part of a 2.8 km (1.7 mi) long tunnel. This tunnel, including the station, had four tracks instead of the two on the viaduct. Train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS).

Cube houses (Dutch: kubuswoningen) are a set of innovative houses built in Helmond and Rotterdam in the Netherlands, designed by architect Piet Blom and based on the concept of "living as an urban roof": high density housing with sufficient space on the ground level, since its main purpose is to optimise the space inside. Blom tilted the cube of a conventional house corner upwards, and rested it upon a hexagon-shaped pylon. His design represents a village within a city, where each house represents a tree, and all the houses together, a forest. The central idea of the cube houses around the world is mainly optimizing the space, as a house, to a better distribution of the rooms inside.

The Rotte is a river in the Rhine-Maas-delta in the Netherlands. The Rotte is the eponym of the city of Rotterdam: the city was founded in the 13th century when a dam was built along the river.

The Rotterdam tramway network (Dutch: Rotterdams tramnet) is a key element of the overall public transport arrangements in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Opened in 1879, the network currently has nine regular tramlines, and three special or seasonal tramlines. It has been operated since 1927 by Rotterdamse Elektrische Tram (RET). The tram network is the city's more extensive public transport system, while the rapid transit Rotterdam Metro is the more utilized system.

Beurs-World Trade Center is located on the Coolsingel and Beursplein in the centre of Rotterdam. It is a major business centre in Rotterdam with approximately 200 offices. The building is 93 meters high. The center is a member of the international World Trade Centers Association.

The Red Apple is a 40-storey, 124-metre (407 ft) residential skyscraper on Wijnhaven Island in Rotterdam, Netherlands, designed by KCAP Architects & Planners and Jan des Bouvrie. The building was topped out in 2008, completed in 2009, and features 121 units, and a 338-space multi-storey car park. It is the eighth-tallest building in Rotterdam. The Kopblok is a 53-metre-tall (174 ft) building that has an additional 79 apartment units and offices. The ground floor is designed for shops and restaurants. The entire complex has an open fiber network.
