Tucson Mountains

Gates Pass is a mountain pass along the crest of the Tucson Mountains. The road through the pass is a scenic route west of Tucson, Arizona. The road from the east is West Anklam Road which merges with West Speedway Boulevard in the city just east of North Camino De Oeste. West of the pass the road is known as Saguaro Road and continues until it reaches Kinney Road just north of Old Tucson. The elevation of the pass is 3,172 feet (967 m).The road is lined with scenic overlooks, and is an area where locals and tourists come to watch the sunset.

Old Tucson (aka Old Tucson Studios) is an American movie studio and theme park just west of Tucson, Arizona, adjacent to the Tucson Mountains and close to the western portion of Saguaro National Park. Built in 1939 for the movie Arizona (1940), it has been used for the filming location of many movies and television westerns since then, such as Gunfight at the O.K. Corral (1957), Rio Bravo (1959), El Dorado (1966), Little House on the Prairie TV series of the 1970s–1980s, the film Three Amigos! (1986) and the popular film Tombstone (1993). It was opened to the public in 1960 as a theme park with historical tours offered about the movies filmed there, along with live cast entertainment featuring stunt shows, shootouts, can-can shows as well as themed events. It is still a popular filming location used by Hollywood.

KHYT (107.5 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station in Tucson, Arizona. It airs a classic hits music format branded as "K-Hit 107.5". KHUD (92.9 FM) is a country radio station in Tucson, Arizona. It is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc.. The radio studios and offices are located north of downtown Tucson along Oracle Road. On weekdays, KHUD carries two nationally syndicated country music shows from co-owned Premiere Networks: The Bobby Bones Show in morning drive time and After Midnite with Granger Smith, heard overnight. KHUD has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 93,000 watts. The transmitter site is in the Tucson Mountains, west of the city. The tower is on West Hidden Canyon Drive in Tucson Estates. Tucson Estates is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pima County, Arizona, United States. The population was 9,755 at the 2000 census.
