Crocker End House in Nettlebed in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England is a spacious Victorian home built to replace Nettlebed's prosperous rectory in about 1870. It was bought by the Duke and Duchess of Kent in December 1989.

Berrick Trench is a 2.1-hectare (5.2-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north of Nettlebed in Oxfordshire.This is an ancient semi-natural beech wood on the slope of a dry valley in the Upper Chalk. There are many stools of ash, oak, beech, whitebeam, field maple and hazel. Woodland flowering plants include early purple orchid and early dog-violet.

Nettlebed is a village and civil parish in Oxfordshire in the Chiltern Hills about 4+1⁄2 miles (7 km) northwest of Henley-on-Thames and 6 miles (10 km) southeast of Wallingford. The parish includes the hamlet of Crocker End, about 1⁄2 mile (800 m) east of the village. The 2011 Census recorded a parish population of 727.

Bix Bottom is a 102.3-hectare (253-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-west of Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire. It is owned and managed as Warburg Nature Reserve by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.This site has ancient woods which are shown on a map of 1786, together with areas of grassy clearings and scrub. More than 500 species of vascular plant have been recorded, including 18 orchids and the rare meadow clary, which is listed in the British Red Data Book of Plants. There are more than 75 bird species and 650 fungi, including many which are nationally rare.The site is open to the public.

Maidensgrove is a hamlet above the Stonor valley in the Chiltern Hills, adjacent to Russell's Water common. It is about 5 miles (8.0 km) northwest of Henley-on-Thames in South Oxfordshire, England. There is a 16th-century public house called The Five Horseshoes at nearby Upper Maidensgrove. The Chiltern Way and Oxfordshire Way long-distance paths pass close by and the Warburg Nature Reserve is to the south.

Pishill Woods is a 42.8-hectare (106-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north of Nettlebed in Oxfordshire.These semi-natural woods have a rich ground flora, including 35 species associated with ancient woodland. The southern part is dominated by beech and oak coppice, whereas the north, which has been managed as high forest, has mainly mature beech trees, with smaller numbers of oak, ash, cherry, whitebeam, yew and wych elm. The southern part is common land.

Highmoor is a village and civil parish in the Chiltern Hills in Oxfordshire, about 4 miles (6.4 km) west of Henley-on-Thames. The parish includes the hamlet of Satwell. The Grade II Listed Church of England parish church of Saint Paul at Highmoor Cross was designed by the architect Joseph Morris of Reading and built by Robert Owthwaite of Henley-on-Thames in 1859 as a chapel of ease by the vicar of Rotherfield Peppard to cater for the wider rural population of the parish. Highmoor later became a separate parish but the church was closed by a pastoral order in June 2012 as a result of a dwindling congregation. The church was then put up for sale by the Diocese of Oxford.Highmoor has two public houses: the Dog and Duck near Highmoor Cross and the Rising Sun at Witheridge Hill. Both are owned by the local Brakspear Brewery. The Dog and Duck closed in December 2011 and the freehold was subsequently put on the market in March 2012 when the brewery was unable to find a new tenant. The pub remains closed as of April 2015. Chris Hollins, an English journalist, presenter and sportsman, lives in Highmoor.

Pishill is a hamlet in Pishill with Stonor civil parish about 5 miles (8 km) north of Henley-on-Thames in South Oxfordshire. It is in the Stonor valley in the Chiltern Hills about 430 feet (130 m) above sea level.

Bix is a village in the civil parish of Bix and Assendon in South Oxfordshire, about 2.5 miles (4 km) northwest of Henley-on-Thames. The village is about 130 metres (430 ft) above sea level in the Chiltern Hills.

The Crown Inn was a pub in the south Oxfordshire village of Pishill near Henley-on-Thames. It dates from the 17th century. It is located on Stonor Road in Pishill. It has been listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England since December 1985. The pub largely dates from the 17th and 18th-century. The thatched barn to the north-west of the pub and the stables to the south-west are also individually Grade II listed. The pub has been included in The Good Beer Guide, edited by Roger Protz. The 2012 entry for The Crown described its history as featuring "smuggling, murder, religious conflict, seductive wenches and a ghost". In 1830 it was put up for sale at auction with several other freehold pubs through Henry Haines acting for Peel Brothers of Watlington. The Crown Inn was the site of gatherings of the 'Henley Music Mafia', a loose group of rock musicians who lived in and around the Henley-on-Thames area. Members of the group included Joe Brown, Dave Edmunds, Herbie Flowers, George Harrison, Alvin Lee, Jon Lord, Mike Moran, Gary Moore, Mick Ralphs, and Larry Smith. They would occasionally play unannounced at the pub in the 1980s and 1990s, dubbing themselves the 'Pishill Artists'. The pub has been closed since the COVID-19 lockdown in the United Kingdom in March 2020. In 2021 it was put up for sale for £850,000 along with its barn and a self-contained two-bedroom cottage. It was bought by Pablo Diablo's Legitimate Business Firm Ltd, a company owned by the entertainer and activist Russell Brand. The Crown Inn has not reopened as a pub under his ownership and Brand has plans to convert the garage of the pub into a recording studio. Metal fences with a hessian covering were erected around the pub following the broadcast of accusations of sexual assault and rape against Brand in an episode of Dispatches on Channel 4 and an investigation in The Sunday Times in September 2023. South Oxfordshire District Council subsequently announced an investigation into the unauthorised fencing.

Pishill with Stonor is a civil parish in the high Chilterns, South Oxfordshire. It includes the villages of Pishill (Ordnance Survey grid reference SU727899) and Stonor (OS Grid ref. SU737886), and the hamlets of Maidensgrove and Russell's Water. Pishill with Stonor was formed by the merger of the separate civil parishes of Pishill and Stonor (until 1896 a detached part of the parish of Pyrton) in 1922. In 2011 it had a human population of 304 across its 10.54 km².

Bear, Oveys and Great Bottom Woods is a 64.1-hectare (158-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire.This beech woodland has more than 40 species of ground flora which is commonly associated with ancient woods in southern Britain, including broad-leaved helleborine, southern wood-rush, yellow archangel, enchanter's nightshade, goldilocks buttercup, woodruff and the moss Leucobryum glaucum.
