Dutch Pavilion is a building within the grounds of the Shangri-La Singapore hotel on Orange Grove Road in Tanglin, Singapore. Previously the premises of the Hollandse School, it currently serves as a wedding venue.

Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore is a five-star deluxe hotel located on Orange Grove Road, off Orchard Road, Singapore.Opened on 23 April 1971, the hotel is the flagship and the first hotel of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. The hotel has 747 guestrooms and suites spread over the Tower Wing, Garden Wing and Valley Wing, 127 serviced apartments, and 55 condominium units. The hotel is the annual host of a meeting of defence ministers, permanent heads of ministries, and military chiefs of 28 Asia-Pacific states since 2002 that has become known as the Shangri-La Dialogue. On 7 November 2015, the hotel served as the venue of a historic meeting between the People's Republic of China's paramount leader Xi Jinping and the Republic of China's President Ma Ying-jeou, the first meeting between a Mainland China's and Taiwan's leader since the 1949 Chinese Communist Revolution.

On 7 November 2015, Ma Ying-jeou, President of the Republic of China (Taiwan; ROC), and Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and President of the People's Republic of China (Mainland China; PRC), met in Singapore. The meeting was the first between the political leaders of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait (the two Chinas) since the end of the Chinese Civil War in 1950 and the first since the meeting between Chiang Kai-shek and Mao Zedong in Chongqing during the Double Tenth Agreement in August 1945.

The Clementi Police Division (or 'D' Division) is one of the seven land divisions of the Singapore Police Force. Clementi Division covers about 70 square kilometres in the South-Western part of Singapore, which includes Jurong Island, Sentosa Island and the popular Holland Village. Nearly half a million people live in the area under Clementi Division, mostly in Tanjong Pagar GRC, West Coast GRC, Hong Kah GRC, Holland -Bukit Panjang GRC, Jurong GRC, and Ayer Rajah Constituency and Bukit Timah Constituency.

The shooting of Mohamed Taufik Zahar took place around 4:36 a.m. on 31 May 2015, near the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore where the Shangri-La Dialogue was being held; police officers fatally shot Mohamed Taufik bin Zahar, a 34-year-old logistics mover. Taufik, who was driving a red Subaru Impreza and was carrying two passengers, had encountered a roadblock set up in relation to the dialogue. When instructed to open the Subaru's boot for checks, Taufik accelerated the vehicle towards police officers, crashing through concrete barriers erected by the police, and continued driving the vehicle despite repeated warnings to stop. Anticipating threats to their safety, police officers opened fire at the vehicle and shot Taufik dead through the windscreen.After the incident, the two passengers, Mohamed bin Ismail and Muhammad Syahid Mohamed Yasin, were convicted of drug offences and sentenced to 8 and 7 years' jail, respectively, and 3 strokes of the cane each.This is the fourth police shooting in Singapore in 15 years. Taufik's wife, Nassida Nasir, opined that death was disproportionate punishment for Taufik, but the public was generally supportive of the actions of the police. The Singapore government has also defended and commended the actions of the police officers. A coroner's inquiry into the death of Taufik was scheduled.

Stevens MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Downtown line (DTL), situated along the boundary of Novena and Tanglin planning areas, Singapore at the junction of Stevens Road and Bukit Timah Road. Located along the Bukit Timah corridor, it serves the nearby Singapore Chinese Girls' School and St. Joseph's Institution schools, as well as the Raffles Town Club and the surrounding private estates. The station opened on 27 December 2015 when the DTL stage 2 opened. A new underpass connecting to two new exits at Dunearn Road and Whitley Road opened on 23 November 2019. The upcoming Thomson–East Coast line (TEL) will interchange with the DTL at this station in the second half of 2022.

Orchard Towers is an 18-story office building in Singapore located on the corner of Claymore Road and Orchard Road. Construction was completed in 1975. The first five floors are a combination of bars and retail outlets with the remainder leased as offices. During the day the building functions as a retail and office style building, but the building is best known as a landmark entertainment complex famously described as the "Four Floors of Whores" or simply the "Four Floors". In addition, one of the towers houses 58 freehold condominium residential units.Orchard Tower houses the Embassy of Romania on the 8th floor, Honorary Consulate of Mauritius on the 9th floor and the Embassy of Cambodia on the 10th floor.

Ladyhill Hotel was a hotel on Lady Hill Road in Tanglin, Singapore. Completed in 1968, it was owned by the Goodwood Group, which was owned by prominent banker and hotelier Tan Sri Khoo Teck Puat. It was closed in 1999 and demolished to build a condominium.

Palais Renaissance, or Palais (pronounced pa-lay) is a mall located at the shopping district of Orchard Road, Singapore. Located beside the Royal Thai Embassy, Palais Renaissance comprises a 13-storey office block coupled with 4 storeys of retail space. Palais Renaissance is owned and managed by property developer City Developments Limited.

The Scotts Shopping Centre was a shopping mall in Singapore, located along Scotts Road in the Orchard Road vicinity. The mall was branded as a high-end boutique mall with outlets like Pois, Blush, Crème, and Kiehl's, with professional women as its target demographic.

The Goodwood Park Hotel (Chinese: 良木园酒店) is a heritage hotel in Singapore, situated in a 6-hectare landscaped garden on Scotts Road. It was first built as the club house for the Teutonic Club serving the expatriate German community in Singapore, and later converted into a hotel. The hotel was the first in Singapore to have a swimming-pool on the premises, and an air-conditioned wine cellar. The Tower Block of the hotel has been gazetted as a national monument of Singapore.

Forum The Shopping Mall (Chinese: 福临购物中心, Tamil: பாரம் அங்காடி ) is a shopping mall on Singapore's main shopping belt, Orchard Road. It was built on the site of the Singapura Forum Hotel. Along the upper stretch of Orchard Road and a five-minute walk from Orchard MRT station, the mall is anchored by Toys "R" Us and Julia Gabriel Centre.
