The arrest of Robert Jonathan Seacat was the culmination of a destructive 19.48-hour standoff with American police in June 2015. After being chased by police for stealing clothing from a Walmart, Seacat barricaded himself in a house at 4219 South Alton Street in Greenwood Village, Colorado. By the time Seacat was finally extracted from the premises, the house had been destroyed by law enforcement in their efforts to flush him out. The homeowner—Leo Lech—filed a lawsuit against the municipality for compensation, but was ruled against by the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit; he appealed to the Supreme Court of the United States, but the court declined to hear the case.

Almost all of the short lines owned by Pioneer are lines spun off by Class I railroads. On August 8, 2022 Patriot Rail Company announced its intention to acquire Pioneer Lines. The company was acquired by Patriot Rail on September 14, 2022.

It is served by the E and R Lines, operated by the Regional Transportation District (RTD), and was opened on November 17, 2006. The station features a public art installation of stamped concrete illustrating magnified apple leaves and stainless steel birds entitled Orchard Memory. It was created by Wopo Holup and dedicated in 2006.

It is served by the E and R Lines, operated by the Regional Transportation District (RTD), and was opened on November 17, 2006. This is the primary station serving the Denver Technological Center. The station features a public art installation of a geometric pattern of roadway reflectors entitled Thunder over the Rockies through its pedestrian tunnel. It was created by Richard Elliott and dedicated in 2006.

Cherry Creek Dam (National ID # CO01280) is a dam in Arapahoe County, Colorado southeast of Denver. The earthen dam was constructed between 1948 and 1950 by the United States Army Corps of Engineers with a height of 141 feet (43 m) and a length of 14,300 feet (4,400 m) at its crest. It impounds Cherry Creek, a tributary of the South Platte River, for flood control. The dam and reservoir are owned and operated by the Corps of Engineers. The reservoir it creates, Cherry Creek Reservoir, has a water surface of 880 acres (360 ha), and a maximum capacity of 134,470 acre-feet (170 million cubic meters). Recreation at the reservoir centers on the facilities of the adjacent Cherry Creek State Park, which offers camping, radio-controlled aircraft, picnicking, opportunities for bird watching, cross country skiing, fishing, horseback riding and an outdoor shooting range.

It is served by the E and R Lines, operated by the Regional Transportation District (RTD), and was opened on November 17, 2006. In addition to numerous office buildings and corporate campuses, the station is the destination for people attending concerts at the Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre. The station also serves as the terminus for the SkyRide AT bus route, with service to Denver International Airport, and is also served by the Bustang Denver Technology Center (DTC) service. The station features a public art installation of a trio of sculptures entitled Nucleus. It was created by Michael Clapper and dedicated in 2010.
