Øverland, Bærum

Haslum is a district in the municipality of Bærum, Norway. Its population (2007) is 6,041. Haslum is served by Haslum station on the Kolsås Line (Kolsåsbanen) of Oslo Metro. It is situated between Avløs and Gjønnes. Haslum is noted for Haslum Church (Haslum kirke) its medieval parish church, which is surrounded by a historic cemetery.

Haslum is a station on the Kolsås Line on the Oslo Metro. It is between Avløs and Gjønnes, 13.0 kilometers (8.1 mi) from Stortinget. It serves the neighborhood Haslum. The station was opened 1 July 1924 as part of the tramway Lilleaker Line.Along with most of the line, Haslum closed for upgrades on 1 July 2006 and its service was temporarily provided by bus. Haslum among other things, received longer platforms which can accommodate trains with up to six cars like most of the subway system. It reopened on 15 December 2013.

Hosle is a district in the municipality of Bærum, Norway. Its population (as of 2007) is 5,713.

Avløs is a station on the Kolsås Line (line 3) within the Oslo Metro system. Situated between Valler and Haslum, it is located 13.6 km from Stortinget. The station was originally opened on 1 July 1924 as part of the Lilleaker Line. On 1 July 2006, Avløs, along with most of the line, temporarily closed for upgrades, and bus services were provided as an alternative. As part of the upgrades, Avløs received longer platforms capable of accommodating trains with up to six cars, similar to the majority of the metro system. The company responsible for public transport in Oslo, Ruter, had the long-term objective of opening the Kolsås Line for Metro use again. The station reopened on 15 December 2013 and served as the terminus of the Kolsås Line until the line to Kolsås was reopened on 12 October 2014.

Dælivannet is a lake in Bærum, Akershus county, Norway. It lies just beneath the Kolsås hill on the East side. The lake contains perch and pike and has a rich bird life. The lake has been the subject of paintings and sketches by many significant artists including, Claude Monet, Eilif Peterssen and Christian Skredsvig (1854–1924), whose painting Seljefløiten shows a boy playing the flute by the South-East side of Dælivannet.

The Bærum Tunnel (Norwegian: Bærumstunnelen) is a 5.5-kilometer (3.4 mi) long double track railway tunnel in Bærum, Norway. Running between Marstranderveien and Engervannet, it makes up most of the 6.7-kilometer (4.2 mi) long section of the Asker Line between Lysaker Station and Sandvika Station, which was taken into use on 26 August 2011. The tunnel was constructed from 2007 using the drilling and blasting method with three crosscuts. The tunnel has two tracks, is electrified and allows for maximum speeds of 160 kilometres per hour (99 mph). The whole section between the stations is estimated to cost 2.7 billion Norwegian krone (NOK). The tunnel accelerates intercity and regional traffic west of Oslo and frees up capacity for the Oslo Commuter Rail.

Gjønnes is a rapid transit station of the Oslo Metro's Kolsås Line, situated in the Bærum, Norway, neighborhood of Gjønnes, just west of Bekkestua. Located 11.8 kilometers (7.3 mi) from Stortinget, the station is served by Line 3 of the metro, normally with a fifteen-minute headway. Travel time to Stortinget is 22 minutes. The station is a popular park and ride site, with 200 parking places. The station opened on 4 November 1924 as part of the Lilleaker Line. It has since 1942 been connected to the city via the Common Tunnel, thus becoming part of the Kolsås Line. The station was closed due to budgetary cuts for part of 2003 and 2004, and then closed for renovations from 1 July 2006. The station opened, along with the upgraded track from Bekkestua, on 8 October 2012, after investments of 113 million were used on the section. The upgrades included lengthening the station to six-car platforms and making it accessible.

Løkeberg is a district in the municipality of Bærum, Norway. Its population (2007) is 4,568.

The Bekkestua Tunnel (Norwegian: Bekkestuatunnelen) is a road tunnel that runs under Bekkestua in Bærum, Norway. It forms a part of the Norwegian National Road 160, starts northeast of Bekkestua to ease this population and commercial centre of heavy traffic, and emerges in the southwest near Gjønnes Station. It was opened in 1994, and was financed by the Oslo Package 1.
