Bell Busk is a hamlet situated in the Craven district of North Yorkshire, England. The hamlet is located at the southern end of Malhamdale where the nascent River Aire meets Otterburn Beck. The village is 7 miles (11 km) north west of Skipton and used to have a railway station on the line linking Skipton and Hellifield. Historical industries in the hamlet consisted of a cotton mill that became a silk mill, with quarrying prevalent also. Tourism became the leading industry in the 20th century.

In 2016, as part of the canal's bicentenary, lock number 38 was officially renamed the 'Mike Clarke Lock' in commemoration to the president of The Leeds and Liverpool Society, Mike Clarke.A notable historic house is the Grade II listed Newton Grange which now provides holiday cottage accommodation and is a venue for weddings.

Newton Grange in Bank Newton, Skipton, in Yorkshire is a Georgian house of historical significance and is Grade II listed on the English Heritage Register. It was built in about 1800 by Richard Greenwood, a gentleman, and was the private residence for many notable families. It is now a wedding venue and provides holiday cottage accommodation.

Airton (also known as Airton-in-Craven) is a small village and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England, situated 10 miles (16 km) north-west of Skipton. The village had a population of 175 according to the 2001 Census, 228 at the 2011 Census, decreasing to 227 at the 2021 Census.

Calton is a village and civil parish in the Craven district of North Yorkshire, England, on the River Aire in Airedale. The name derives from the Old English Calf-tūn; literally, the town where calves were reared. Ancient deeds and poll-tax returns indicate that the village had a public house and a chapel in 1379. In 1851 there were 75 residents listed in the census, of whom no fewer than 33, in five households, were called Shackleton. Calton is on the Pennine Cycleway (NCN Route 68), and the Pennine Way passes the between the west of the village and the River Aire. This route is also part of the Airedale Way, between Leeds and Malham Tarn.

East Marton is a village in the Craven District of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 5 miles (8 km) west of the market town of Skipton and is on the A59 road. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal passes through the village on the descent from Foulridge to Leeds. The canal towpath in the village is part of the Pennine Way and the original pack-horse bridge over the canal was transformed into a double-arched bridge when the new A59 road was built on top of it. The canal was fully opened in 1816 with the section through East Marton being started in 1793. Some of the Navvies who died of smallpox whilst constructing the canal are buried in the churchyard.The church, dedicated to St Peter, was first built during Norman times to replace an earlier Saxon church in the village. St Peter's has been added to in the 17th and 19th centuries.There is a TV transmission mast just north of the village.Together with West Marton it forms the civil parish of Martons Both and in the 2011 census the population was listed as 213.East Marton was an ancient parish, sometimes known as Church Marton or Marton in Craven, in Staincliffe Wapentake in the West Riding of Yorkshire. It was transferred to North Yorkshire in 1974.
