The William Hicklen House is a historic house at 502 Beaver Valley Road in Talleyville, Delaware. The house is a rare 18th-century plank-frame house, built by an early settler of the area. A stone wing was added to the house prior to 1800, and it was further enlarged in the 19th century.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Beaver Valley (formerly known as Chandler's Hollow) straddles the Pennsylvania and Delaware border in Delaware County, PA and New Castle County, DE. An unincorporated place name, it is traversed by several streams which drain to Beaver Run which itself empties into the Brandywine River. It is approximately bounded by US Route 202 to the east, The Brandywine River to the west, Thompsons Bridge Road to the south, and Smithbridge Road to the north, with Beaver Valley Road encircling a large portion of the valley. The majority of the lands in Beaver Valley have been owned for decades by The Woodlawn Trustees, which designated in the early 1970s all of its Brandywine Hundred and Delaware County holdings in Beaver Valley and elsewhere as a wildlife refuge. In 2012, The Woodlawn Trustees submitted development plans to Concord Township Supervisors in Delaware County for the purpose of constructing approximately 500 housing units and a 225,000 square foot national retail store, all of which would adjoin the First State National Historical Park in Chadds Ford Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania and New Castle County, Delaware.

Brandywine Summit Camp Meeting is a historic camp meeting and national historic district located at Concord Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. The rural setting drew Methodists from nearby Wilmington, Delaware and West Chester. The district includes 76 contributing buildings near Chadds Ford village. The buildings are in a vernacular camp meeting style of architecture. The centerpiece of the community are the Tabernacle, built about 1884, and Pavilion, also dated to the 1880s. Most of the contributing buildings are cottages, built after the turn of the 20th century.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

It is one of two separate ABA-accredited law schools of Widener University. Widener University Law School was founded in 1971 as the Delaware Law School and became affiliated with Widener in 1975. In 1989, it was known as Widener University School of Law when it was combined with the campus in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In 2015, the two campuses separated, with the Harrisburg one renamed to Widener University Commonwealth Law School.

Rocky Run is a stream in northern New Castle County, Delaware. The stream flows for several miles through Brandywine Creek State Park and part of First State National Historical Park before feeding the larger Brandywine Creek. Rocky Run itself is fed by Hurricane Run, also located in Brandywine Creek State Park.
