Skolwin is a municipal neighbourhood of the city of Szczecin, Poland situated on the left bank of the Oder river, north of Szczecin Old Town and Middle Town, and south of the town of Police. As of January 2011, it had a population of 3,265.Before 1945, when Szczecin (then Stettin) was a part of Germany, the German name of this suburb was Stettin-Scholwin (briefly, under Nazi rule, Stettin-Odermünde). In Skolwin, there is a power line crossing of the Odra river, which is part of 220 kV powerline Police-Morzyczyn. The association football club Świt Szczecin is based in Skolwin.

Gmina Police is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Police County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland, on the German border. Its seat is the town of Police, which lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north of the regional capital Szczecin. The gmina covers an area of 251.42 square kilometres (97.1 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 41,417 (out of which the population of Police amounts to 34,284, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 7,133).

Police County (Polish: powiat policki, [pɔˈlʲit͡sɛ]) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in West Pomeranian Voivodeship, north-western Poland, on the Polish-German border. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town is Police, which lies 13 kilometres (8 mi) north of the regional capital Szczecin. The only other town in the county is Nowe Warpno, lying 29 km (18 mi) north-west of Police. The county covers an area of 664.16 square kilometres (256.4 sq mi). As of 2006 its total population is 64,147, out of which the population of Police is 34,284, that of Nowe Warpno is 1,170 and the rural population is 28,693.

Police (Polish: [pɔˈlʲit͡sɛ]; German: Pölitz) is a town in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northwestern Poland. It is the capital of Police County and one of the biggest towns of the Szczecin agglomeration. The town is situated on the Oder River and its estuary, south of the Szczecin Lagoon and the Bay of Pomerania. The centre of Police is situated about 15 kilometres (9 miles) north of the centre of Szczecin.

The origins of the river are in Insko Lake (Polish: jezioro Ińsko), and it flows through a succession of smaller lakes. The confluence of Ina River is localized in Police town, near Szczecin. It has a length of 129 km, and the basin area of the Ina is 2189 km2. The main towns situated on the Ina River are: Ińsko Goleniów Stargard with the famous Stargard Mill Gate Police, Poland (on the confluence of Ina River into the Oder)In Pomeranian history, the Ihna from 1295 to 1464 separated Pomerania-Stettin and Pomerania-Wolgast. Tributaries of the Ina are: Krępiel, Mała Ina, Reczek, Struga Goleniowska.

Kamieniska [kamjɛˈniska] (German: Brachhorst) is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Goleniów, within Goleniów County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland. It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) west of Goleniów and 16 km (10 mi) north of the regional capital Szczecin. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.

West Oder (Polish: Odra Zachodnia) is the western arm of the lower Oder near Szczecin, Poland along the border with Germany. It flows into the Oder Lagoon. The river flows through the Lower Oder Valley forming, along with the Eastern Oder (Polish: Odra Wschodnia), an area called Międzyodrze, part of the Lower Odra Valley Landscape Park. Międzyodrze area is traversed by a network of canals and old riverbeds, linked with West Oder. Between the split of Odra arms to the Regalica, East Oder runs through the Gryfino County.
