The Twin Lakes are adjacent Lakes Washining and Washinee, commonly referred to as East Twin Lake and West Twin Lake, in Salisbury amidst Connecticut's Northwest Hills.

Wildcat Hollow is a valley in the Appalachian Mountains in rural Litchfield County, Connecticut located on a riverbend of the Housatonic River. It is located about 3 miles west of Salisbury, 2+1⁄2 miles north of Falls Village, 2 miles south of Twin Lakes, and a mile north west of the peak of Mount Prospect. It also has two roads, Wildcat Hollow Road that heads North West up Flink Hill and Housatonic River Road that runs north from Amesville and Falls Village to the south up north to Smith Hill.

Salisbury () is a town situated in Litchfield County, Connecticut, United States. The town is the northwesternmost in the state of Connecticut; the Massachusetts-New York-Connecticut tri-state marker is located at the northwest corner of the town. The population was 4,194 at the 2020 census. The town is part of the Northwest Hills Planning Region.

Established in 1741, it has served in that role since, and now reflects a typical 19th-century small town center. It extends along Main Street, between its junctions with Library Street and Under Mountain Road. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Scoville Memorial Library is the public library of Salisbury, Connecticut. Established in 1803, it was the first in the United States open to the public free of charge. It is located at 38 Main Street, in an architecturally distinguished Romanesque 1894 building donated by Jonathan Scoville, a local philanthropist. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Scoville Powerhouse is a historic former power generation facility at Twin Lakes and Taconic Roads in the Taconic neighborhood of Salisbury, Connecticut. Built about 1899, it provided power to the surrounding estate of the Scoville family, owners of local iron mining and processing operations. It was converted into a privated residence in the 1950s, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 for its distinctive architecture.

The John C. Coffing House is a historic house on United States Route 44 in Salisbury, Connecticut. Built in 1799 for one of the leading businessmen of the region, it is a good local example of late Colonial architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Great Falls is a waterfall formed along the Housatonic River at Falls Village in the town of Canaan amidst Connecticut's Litchfield Hills. Great Falls is the highest volume waterfall in the state, though a great deal of its potential water volume is diverted immediately upstream during most of the year for hydro-electric power generation.

Falls Village is a village and census-designated place in the town of Canaan in Litchfield County, Connecticut, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 538, out of 1,234 in the entire town of Canaan. Because Falls Village is the town center and principal constituent village in Canaan, the entire town is often referred to as "Falls Village". That usage also avoids confusion of the town with Canaan Village in the town of North Canaan, Connecticut, just to the north. Falls Village derives its name from a waterfall, known as Great Falls, on the Housatonic River within the village.The Falls Village post office is assigned ZIP code 06031, which encompasses the entire town of Canaan.

Mount Riga State Park is an undeveloped public recreation area located in the town of Salisbury, Connecticut. The state park offers opportunities for hiking and bow hunting. The Undermountain Trail connects to the northernmost section of the Appalachian Trail in Connecticut from the trail head at Mount Riga State Park's parking lot on Connecticut Route 41. The park is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Bridge No. 2305, also known locally as the Burton Brook Bridge, is a historic bridge carrying U.S. Route 44 (US 44; Main Street) over Burton Brook in the Lakeville village of Salisbury, Connecticut. Built in 1873, this masonry arch bridge is a rare surviving example in the state of a typical late-19th century road bridge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Lakeville Manor is a historic residential and institutional property at 12 Elm Street and 33 Sharon Road in the Lakeville village of Salisbury, Connecticut, United States. Built in 1883, the property includes a fine Second Empire building originally housing a convent, and a school. Both buildings have been converted to conventional residential use. They were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
