Calgary-Foothills is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Canada. It is located in the northwest corner of Calgary. It elected six consecutive Progressive Conservative MLAs from its creation in 1971 until ousted Premier Jim Prentice disclaimed his winning seat on the 2015 general election night, later electing a member of the Wildrose in the following by-election.The riding contains the neighbourhoods of Edgemont, Hidden Valley, Hamptons and the Symons Valley neighbourhoods of Sage Hill, Nolan Hill, Sherwood and Kincora.

Sherwood is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Located near the north edge of the city, it is bounded by Sarcee Trail to the west, the Nolan Hill community across 128 Avenue N.W./ Symons Valley Parkway to the north, the Kincora community across Shaganappi Trail to the east, and the Hamptons community across Stoney Trail to the south. It is one of five communities located within the Symons Valley area.Sherwood is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 2 councillor.

Citadel is a community in Northwest Calgary, Alberta. It is bordered by Stoney Trail on the north and west, Country Hills Blvd on the south, and Sarcee Trail on the east. Public transportation in Citadel is provided by Calgary Transit bus route 138 to Crowfoot C-Train Station.

It is bounded by the city's boundary with Rocky View County to the north, Stoney Trail to the south, and Sarcee Trail to the west. It is bisected by Symons Valley Road, which becomes Highway 772. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by Ward 2 and 3 Alderman Joe Magliocca and Jim Stevenson.

Located near the north edge of the city, it is bounded by the Nolan Hill community across Shaganappi Trail to the west, 144 Avenue N.W. to the north, the Evanston community to the east, and the Kincora community across 128 Avenue N.W. to the south. It is one of five communities located within the Symons Valley area. West Nose Creek flows through the eastern portion of the community.Sage Hill is located within Calgary City Council's Ward 2.

Hamptons is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located close to the northern edge of the city, and is bounded to the north by Stoney Trail, to the east by Shaganappi Trail, to the south by Country Hills Boulevard, and to the west by Sarcee Trail. The land was annexed in two stages, the southern area in 1976 and the northern one in 1989. The Hamptons was established as a neighbourhood in 1990. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 2 councillor.The community is home to an Olympic size hockey rink and an annual Stampede breakfast.

Hawkwood is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is bounded to the north by Country Hills Boulevard, to the east by Sarcee Trail, to the south by John Laurie Boulevard, and to the west by Nose Hill Drive. Hawkwood was established in 1981. It was named for a dairy farming family who came to Alberta from England in 1913. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 2 councillor.

Calgary Remand Centre (CRC) is a provincial correctional facility in Alberta, Canada. The facility is operated by the Ministry of the Justice Solicitor General of Alberta. The CRC remands inmates awaiting trial or sentencing. As of 2017, due to limited space only male inmates are housed in the facility, female inmates being housed in the neighboring Calgary Young Offenders Centre.

CHKF-FM is a radio station that broadcasts multicultural content, including a major Chinese programming block entitled Fairchild Radio at 94.7 FM in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Robert Thirsk High School is a public senior high school in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It derives its name from Robert Thirsk, a Canadian engineer and physician, and a former Canadian Space Agency astronaut. The high school is located in the Northwest Calgary community of Arbour Lake, and has a capacity of 1,500 students. Robert Thirsk High School officially opened in September 2013. Over 800 grade 10 and 11 students attend the first school year. The high school accommodates students from Citadel, Arbour Lake, Scenic Acres, Ranchlands, Hawkwood, Rocky Ridge, Royal Oak, and Nolan Hill. It is bounded to the north by Country Hills Boulevard, to the south by Crowchild Trail, to the east by Nose Hill Drive, to the west by Stoney Trail. Arbour Lake was established in 1992, and named after Arbor Lake, Newport Beach, California. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 2 councillor.
