Sherfield on Loddon

Longbridge Mill is a restored water mill situated on the River Loddon in the village of Sherfield on Loddon in the English county of Hampshire. The mill is now incorporated into a public house and restaurant, but is still occasionally used for demonstration millings.

North Foreland Lodge was an independent boarding school for girls in England, originally established at North Foreland in Kent. Displaced from there by the Second World War, in 1947 it settled at Sherfield Manor in Sherfield on Loddon, Hampshire, until its closure in 2003 shortly after being acquired by another school, Gordonstoun. In 2004 Gordonstoun sold the school site to a group of schools called Gems Education, which converted it into a new mixed-sex independent school called Sherfield School.

Sherfield School is a coeducational independent day & boarding school, located in Sherfield Manor by Sherfield on Loddon in the English county of Hampshire. and set in 76 acres of parkland. It is currently a school of over 400 pupils founded in 2004 by GEMS Education and is operationally managed by the Bellevue Education Group Ltd. Until 2003 the site was the location of the North Foreland Lodge girls boarding school, founded in 1909; and settled at Sherfield Manor in 1947.

Bow Brook is a small river in the English county of Hampshire, which is a tributary of the River Loddon. Contributary streams rise near Ramsdell and Sherborne St John, and after flowing through rural countryside, it joins the Loddon near Sherfield on Loddon. Historically is has powered at least two watermills.

Bullsdown Camp is the site of a former Iron Age plateau fort in the County of Hampshire. The site is heavily wooded, and close inspection is required to observe the three bank and ditch fortifications. Although eroded heavily the earthworks are still impressive

The Loddon School is a British independent school for children who have severe and complex learning difficulties. Children catered for have problems associated with autism and epilepsy, including self injury, aggression and disruptive behaviour. The school is located on Wildmoor Lane in Sherfield on Loddon in the English county of Hampshire. It was founded in 1988 as a charitable trust and, as of 2010, caters for up to 29 children at one time, with over 180 staff providing education and care in a residential setting.

The River Lyde or Lyde River is a small river in the English county of Hampshire. It rises near Mapledurwell, where the water is used in watercress beds before entering the main channel. It flows in a generally northerly direction, and used to supply power to watermills along its route. Near Sherfield on Loddon it joins the River Loddon, which is a tributary of the River Thames.

Bramley Green is a small village in the civil parish of Bramley in the Basingstoke and Deane district of Hampshire, England. It lies approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) south-east from the village of Bramley. South of the village was the Bramley Ordnance Depot, opened in 1917 to manufacture and store ammunition. It was known as Central Ammunition Depot Bramley from 1946. From 1987 it became the Bramley Training Area.

Sherfield Park, also known as Taylor's Farm, is a civil parish in the Basingstoke and Deane district of Hampshire, England. It is situated about 4 miles (6 km) northeast of central Basingstoke, to the west of the A33 road that runs between Basingstoke and Reading. The civil parish covers a housing estate that was built between 2004 and 2014 and now has 1,000 dwellings. The greenfield site had until then mainly been part of Taylor's Farm, a name which has sometimes been used for the estate. The estate was originally part of the parish of Sherfield on Loddon. Between 2008 and 2016, the area was a ward of this parish which was named Taylor's Farm. On 1 April 2016, Sherfield Park was separated to form a parish of its own, with its first parish council being elected a month later. Sherfield Park is in the borough electoral ward of Chineham and the county council division of Loddon.

Turgis Green is a small hamlet in the English county of Hampshire. It is split between the civil parishes of Hartley Wespall and Stratfield Turgis. It contains six Grade II listed buildings and a Grade II listed milestone (on the A33).

Hartley Wespall is a civil parish in the Basingstoke and Deane district of Hampshire, England. It is near the larger village of Hook, which lies approximately 2.5 miles (4.1 km) south-west from the hamlet. St.Mary Church is flint with a Tile hung North Tower. It was essentially reconstructed by Gilbert Scott in 1868–69. It still has, as noted by Pevsner “one tremendous original feature, the early C14 timbers of the West Wall.” The fourteenth century church is Grade I listed.John Keate, headmaster of Eton College from 1809 to 1834, was made rector here in 1824. He is buried in the church.
