Strathcona Centre was a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada, mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting from 1959 to 1971.

Westbrook School is an elementary school located in Edmonton, Alberta Canada, operated by the Edmonton Public Schools board. It shares a field with Vernon Barford Junior High, it is said that most students do go to Vernon Barford for grades 7 -9. The school opened in January 1967; students selected for the school double shifted with Malmo school from September 1966 until construction was complete. The original 1966 school building was designed by the Massey medal-winning architect, Peter Hemingway. At first the school had junior high school grades because there was no suitable nearby high school. Early construction problems - in particular, an open plan central area with protruding electrical outlets, and a bridge outside the front door on which students sometimes enjoyed hanging - occasionally caused ambulances to be called. In 2010 "AMP" was called into action, the year after Shauna Paul became Principal. AMP Consists of Art, Music, and Phys.Ed which rotates around on a daily schedule. All students receive a time table, with their AMP Periods stated on. AMP is used as a practice for Junior High and High School when students will have to remember when and where they have classes. The school became one of four district sites for Academic Challenge, a program for gifted and talented children, in 1984.

Edmonton-Whitemud is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Canada. In 1989, its constituents unseated the Premier of the day, Donald Getty, by voting for Liberal candidate Percy Wickman. The district was represented by Dave Hancock who was in his fourth term as the Member of the Legislative Assembly. Hancock has also served as Minister of Justice twice, Attorney General and prior to that as Minister of Intergovernmental and Aboriginal Affairs. On December 15, 2006, Hancock was made Minister of Health and Wellness in Premier Ed Stelmach's cabinet. He later served as Deputy Premier under Stelmach's successor Alison Redford. Following Redford's resignation as Premier, Hancock was named as her replacement and sworn into office on March 23, 2014, meaning the Edmonton-Whitemud district was the seat of the Premier of Alberta for the second time.

Century Park station is an Edmonton Light Rail Transit station in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It serves the Capital Line. It is a ground-level station located at 111 Street near 23 Avenue, and is named after the transit-oriented development Century Park, located on the former Heritage Mall site next to the station. Century Park is currently the southern terminus of the Capital Line. The station was officially opened on April 24, 2010, with regular service commencing on April 25, 2010.

Lillian Osborne High School is a high school located in the Terwillegar community of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and serves the south west area of the city for Edmonton Public Schools. It was named in 2009 in honour of Edmonton's first female school teacher, Lillian Osborne, who was 20-years-old when she started teaching in 1889 in what was then the town of Edmonton, North-West Territories; the school named for her has a larger "population" (2,116 students) than the entire population of Edmonton when she started teaching.

Louis St. Laurent Catholic School is a fine arts oriented Junior and Senior High School in the Edmonton Catholic School District, located in south western Edmonton. It is also known as "Louis" or "LSL" by the population. The school averages a student body of approximately 1,000 or more pupils each year, spanning grades 7–12. As of 2009, the entire school participates in the International Baccalaureate programme. As of 2016, a few students participate in the Spanish Bilingual program.

Harry Ainlay High School is a high school located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, in the Royal Gardens neighbourhood, south of Whitemud Drive on 111 Street. The school is operated by the Edmonton Public School System, and has a wide variety of educational opportunities for students, including: full French Immersion instruction, the International Baccalaureate Program (designated an IB school since June 1, 1980, current IB coordinator: Dean Zuberbühler), Career and Technology Studies, and Registered Apprenticeship programs. The school has an enrollment of 2,889 students, making it the largest high school by student population in Alberta as of September 2019. Since opening in 1966, over 40,000 students have graduated from Harry Ainlay. The school sports teams are the Titans. The school is named after former Edmonton mayor Harry Dean Ainlay.

The Edmonton Alberta Temple is the 67th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The temple was the second to be built in Alberta; the first was built in Cardston in 1923. The temple serves about 15,700 members in the area. The exterior of the temple is white granite and has a single spire topped by a statue of the angel Moroni.

Southgate station is an Edmonton Light Rail Transit station in Edmonton, Alberta. It is served by the Capital Line. It is a ground-level station located next to the Southgate Centre shopping mall and the Southgate Transit Centre at 51 Avenue and 111 Street. The station was officially opened on April 24, 2010, with regular service commencing on April 25, 2010.Southgate LRT Station provides an important transit connection between southwest Edmonton neighbourhoods, the University of Alberta and downtown Edmonton.

Ellerslie Rugby Park is a park located in South Edmonton in the neighborhood of Ellerslie. It was the Edmonton Gold's home field and it also held puts on many private events. There are two buildings on the site, the Banquet Room, and the Clubroom. It was opened in 1984 and closed in 2022.The park was a major venue for the 2006 Women's Rugby World Cup, hosting nine pool matches, both semifinals, and four classification matches.

Southgate Centre is a shopping centre located in south Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, covering just under 90,000 square metres. It contains 165 retailers including The Bay, Aritzia, Zara, Michael Kors, Browns Shoes and Edmonton's only Restoration Hardware and Crate & Barrel. Apple opened a second store in Edmonton at Southgate Centre on May 28, 2010, and Edmonton's first Lego store opened in June 2013. The centre is located adjacent to Whitemud Drive and 111 Street, and is located across from a transit bus station and the Southgate LRT Station. Following major expansion, the mall marked its reopening in August 2009, including a new food court and added parking. These expansions included 40 new stores under a new two-level parking deck and a station on the expansion of the Edmonton Light Rail Transit system, whose opening ceremony was on April 24, 2010. An Edmonton Public Library branch operated until 2002, when it relocated to nearby Whitemud Crossing. The mall is owned by Ivanhoé Cambridge, a subsidiary of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. The mall is currently undergoing a $93 million expansion which will see the former Sears space repurposed as a new mall common area with three floors, with anticipated completion in 2022.

Edmonton-Rutherford is a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada. The district is mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting. The district was created in the boundary redistribution of 1993 from the Edmonton-Whitemud riding in South Edmonton. The district is a swing riding and has regularly changed between Liberal and Progressive Conservative control. It was named after former Premier Alexander Rutherford who used to represent a constituency in the area when the province was first formed.
