The Edmonton Radial Railway Society (ERRS) restores and operates historic streetcars in Fort Edmonton Park and across the High Level Bridge. It is named after the Edmonton Radial Railway, which began service in 1908 and later became Edmonton Transit Service.

The Quesnell Bridge is a girder bridge that spans the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is part of Edmonton's southern freeway, Whitemud Drive. An average of 120,000 cars pass over the bridge every day.

Whitemud Creek is a tributary of the North Saskatchewan River in central Alberta, Canada. For part of its length, the creek flows through the City of Edmonton, separating neighbourhoods in the Riverbend and Terwillegar Heights areas from other neighbourhoods on the south side of the North Saskatchewan River. Blackmud Creek flows into Whitemud Creek near the northwest corner of the neighborhood of Twin Brooks. For the majority of the creek's area in the city is considered to be a protected area. This also includes other protected areas such as Larch Sanctuary, which is a 59-acre (24 ha) reserve south of 23rd avenue which officially opened in the spring of 2017 Whitemud Creek acts as an important wildlife corridor to allow for free movement of species around Edmonton. The water level varies from 5.40 to 0.83 meters (17.7 to 2.7 ft). Upstream of the river there are various wildlife underpasses as various roads dissect this landscape, this keeps the creek contiguous, the most notable of which is that at the Anthony Henday Drive, where there is space for both animals to travel and pedestrians.

The Fort Edmonton Footbridge is a pedestrian bridge that crosses the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Led by CH2M Hill and designed by HFKS Architects, it is the city's first suspension bridge. The bridge is located southwest of Fort Edmonton Park and connects to the existing multi-use trail system with the new park land on the west side of the river. It officially opened on June 18, 2011.

The Terwillegar Park Footbridge is a pedestrian bridge that crosses the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. At 262 metres (860 feet) in length, it is the longest stressed ribbon bridge in Canada and second longest in the world after the David Kreitzer Lake Hodges Bicycle Pedestrian Bridge in Escondido, California, United States. The bridge is a first for the city and was built to connect Terwillegar Park in the southern side with Oleskiw River Valley Park on the north side of the river. It opened to the public on October 21, 2016.

Westbrook School is an elementary school located in Edmonton, Alberta Canada, operated by the Edmonton Public Schools board. It shares a field with Vernon Barford Junior High, it is said that most students do go to Vernon Barford for grades 7 -9. The school opened in January 1967; students selected for the school double shifted with Malmo school from September 1966 until construction was complete. The original 1966 school building was designed by the Massey medal-winning architect, Peter Hemingway. At first the school had junior high school grades because there was no suitable nearby high school. Early construction problems - in particular, an open plan central area with protruding electrical outlets, and a bridge outside the front door on which students sometimes enjoyed hanging - occasionally caused ambulances to be called. In 2010 "AMP" was called into action, the year after Shauna Paul became Principal. AMP Consists of Art, Music, and Phys.Ed which rotates around on a daily schedule. All students receive a time table, with their AMP Periods stated on. AMP is used as a practice for Junior High and High School when students will have to remember when and where they have classes. The school became one of four district sites for Academic Challenge, a program for gifted and talented children, in 1984.

Lillian Osborne High School is a high school located in the Terwillegar community of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and serves the south west area of the city for Edmonton Public Schools. It was named in 2009 in honour of Edmonton's first female school teacher, Lillian Osborne, who was 20-years-old when she started teaching in 1889 in what was then the town of Edmonton, North-West Territories; the school named for her has a larger "population" (2,116 students) than the entire population of Edmonton when she started teaching.

Edmonton-Whitemud is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, Canada. In 1989, its constituents unseated the Premier of the day, Donald Getty, by voting for Liberal candidate Percy Wickman. The district was represented by Dave Hancock who was in his fourth term as the Member of the Legislative Assembly. Hancock has also served as Minister of Justice twice, Attorney General and prior to that as Minister of Intergovernmental and Aboriginal Affairs. On December 15, 2006, Hancock was made Minister of Health and Wellness in Premier Ed Stelmach's cabinet. He later served as Deputy Premier under Stelmach's successor Alison Redford. Following Redford's resignation as Premier, Hancock was named as her replacement and sworn into office on March 23, 2014, meaning the Edmonton-Whitemud district was the seat of the Premier of Alberta for the second time.

The 1996 du Maurier Classic was contested from August 1–4 at Edmonton Country Club. It was the 24th edition of the du Maurier Classic, and the 18th edition as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. This event was won by Laura Davies.

Strathcona Centre was a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada, mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting from 1959 to 1971.
