Perambur Assembly constituency

Perambur taluk is a taluk of the city district of Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was formed in December 2013 from parts of the erstwhile Fort-Tondiarpet and Perambur-Purasawalkam taluks. It comprises the neighbourhoods of Kodungaiyur, Moolakadai, Madhavaram and Perambur.

Perambur Flyover Park (Tamil: பெரம்பூர் மேம்பாலப் பூங்கா), officially known as Murasoli Maran Flyover Park (Tamil: முரசொலி மாறன் மேம்பாலப் பூங்கா), is an urban park in the neighbourhood of Perambur, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The Chennai Corporation has started earmarking area in parks and public spaces for development of the next phase of Metro stations in various parts of the city. Greenery in the Murasoli Maran Park in Perambur, is expected to be reduced because of the second phase. Families are increasingly flocking to facilities such as the Murasoli Maran Park near Perambur flyover. For over years, the sprawling Murasoli Maran Park at Perambur was a centre of attraction, esoecially for the kids. The lockdown and poor maintenance have however adversely affected the footfall in the park. This is one of the biggest parks in the locality. But the local body is not taking interest in maintaining it.

Perambur Carriage Works is a suburban railway station less than a kilometre from the Perambur railway station in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The station has an elevation of 7.16 m above sea level. Mainly POH and IOH of all type of passenger coaches are undertaken here. The railway department has many facilities around this station, including a school (Railway Mixed Higher Secondary School), and an indoor sporting facility (Railway Stadium).

Spectrum Mall (formerly known as Grand Venus Mall) is a shopping mall located in Perambur, Chennai, India. It is the first mall in North Chennai. The mall was developed at the site of erstwhile Venus theater on Paper Mills Road in Perambur. The mall is spread over an area of 160,000 square feet with two levels of retail shopping and a five screen multiplex. It has two levels of basement parking with capacity of 200 cars and 800 two wheelers. The mall is developed and promoted by Ganga Foundations. The mall has Big Bazaar as its anchor store The mall was soft launched in September 2011 as Grand Venus Mall. It was rebranded as Spectrum mall and was officially launched in September 2012 along with its multiplex S2 Cinemas.

Kasi Viswanatha Temple is a Hindu temple in Chennai, India. Located at Konnur high road, Ayanavaram, the temple was constructed by the Tawker clan of Madras' Gujarati community and was constructed during the time of the East India Company. The temple is situated close to the Medavakkam Tank Road and adjoining the Ayanavaram Bus Depot.This temple is maintained under the control of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department of Government of Tamil Nadu.

Venus (Tamil: வீனஸ்), is a small neighbourhood of Perambur and a commercial area in North Chennai, a metropolitan city in Tamil Nadu, India. The small area around erstwhile Venus Theatre is called Venus unofficially by the people around Perambur. The erstwhile Venus theatre is demolished and constructed a new mall namely Spectrum Mall which has a five screen multiplex called S2 Cinemas which is controlled by theater franchise SPI Cinemas. The mall is developed and promoted by Ganga Foundations.
