Greenwood County Airport

Leath Correctional Institution (LCIW) is a South Carolina Department of Corrections prison for women located in unincorporated Greenwood County, South Carolina, near Greenwood. Leath opened in 1991. It is located just east of the Greenwood County Airport. The prison, on a 39-acre (16 ha) plot of land, has a capacity of 968.

Greenwood High School is located in the city of Greenwood, South Carolina. The school has approximately 1,600 students and is one of two high schools in Greenwood School District 50. The principal is Kathryn Benjamin. The school's mascot is the Eagle.

The Oakland Elementary School shooting was a school shooting in 1988 in Greenwood, South Carolina, United States, in which 19-year-old James William Wilson Jr. shot and killed two students and wounded seven other students, a teacher, and a gym coach at Oakland Elementary School. He shot people in the cafeteria and in a classroom. Wilson had a history of mental illness.

Tabernacle Cemetery is a historic cemetery located near Greenwood, Greenwood County, South Carolina. It was established in 1812, and includes the graves of many prominent citizens of Abbeville and Edgefield Districts and later Greenwood County as well, from the early-19th through the 20th centuries. It is the only cemetery in South Carolina where two Confederate Generals, namely brothers-in-law Nathan George Evans and Martin Witherspoon Gary, are buried. Most graves date from about 1812 to about 1950. The cemetery contains approximately 132 marked graves.The cemetery was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Greenwood Civic Center is a 4,800-seat multi-purpose arena in Greenwood, South Carolina. It hosted various local concerts and sporting events for the area. It was designed by architect Dale Gilliland, AIA. Greenwood County Council voted to close the Civic Center in December 2009 and the building has been unoccupied since. The Civic Center fell into disrepair and in the summer of 2015 was torn down.

The headquarters complex is surrounded by 9 acres (36,000 m2) of land that are maintained by the Park Seed Company for many purposes. The trial gardens previously featured on the grounds closed in 2013 as the company shifted to a fully eCommerce based retail platform. Park Seed Company's annual Flower Day was a day each year when the company’s professional horticulturists give guided tours of the gardens. In 1967, Flower Day gave rise to the South Carolina Festival of Flowers, which through the years has become a three-week-long celebration encompassing garden tours, art and photography competitions, a triathlon, and numerous other cultural and recreational activities.

Greenwood Mall, formerly Crosscreek Mall, is a regional shopping mall located in Greenwood, South Carolina, United States. The mall opened in 1979 and underwent a number of expansions and renovations throughout its history. The original anchor stores were Belk, JCPenney, and Meyers-Arnold, with H. J. Wilson Co. joining in the 1980s. The latter two stores became Uptons and Service Merchandise respectively in the 1980s. Following the closure of those stores, the mall was purchased by a new owner in 2000 and renamed three years later to Greenwood Mall. Renovations beginning in 2009 added The Shoe Dept., TJ Maxx, and Michaels among other stores. Despite these additions, the mall continued to struggle with vacancy, compounded by the closure of JCPenney in 2019. The remaining anchor stores are Belk and TJ Maxx. Hull Property Group owns the mall.

Stony Point is a historic home located near Greenwood, Greenwood County, South Carolina. It was built between 1818 and 1829, and is a two-story, five-bay, brick dwelling. It has a jerkinhead roof and twin exterior end chimneys. It was the home of Joel Smith, who was an influential planter, merchant, banker, and supporter of industries and railroads.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Piedmont Technical College is a public community college with its main campus in Greenwood, South Carolina. It serves seven counties in the Lakelands region of South Carolina. Six additional County Centers also serve students in Abbeville County, Edgefield County, Laurens County, McCormick County, Newberry County, and Saluda County. Piedmont Technical College serves the largest geographic area of any institution in the South Carolina Technical College System. The college was founded in 1966.

Cokesbury is a census-designated place (CDP) in Greenwood County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 215 at the 2010 census, down from 279 in 2000.
