Lake Natoma is a small lake in the western United States, along the lower American River, between Folsom and Nimbus Dams in Sacramento County, California. The lake is located within the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area which is responsible for maintaining the facilities and bike trails surrounding the lake. Lake Natoma is located 15 miles east of Sacramento, and has 500 surface acres of water. The total length of lake Natoma is 4 miles. Lake Natoma is a recreational lake for rowing, kayaking, and swimming; powerboats are permitted with a 5 mph (8 km/h) "no wake" restriction. It is home to the Sacramento State Aquatic Center, and regularly hosts West Coast College Rowing Championships, the Pac-12 Conference rowing championships, and, every four years, the Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships. The Lake Natoma Four Bridges Half Marathon is held each October at the lake. Lake Natoma includes the historic Black Miners Bar area in Folsom, the site of a gold rush era African-American mining camp.The Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park overlooks Lake Natoma in the city of Folsom. It is a California State Historical site, preserving an early hydroelectric power station. A paved cycling and jogging trail encircles the lake along with unpaved equestrian trails. The Folsom South Canal Trail also begins at the lake. Several parking lots and boat launching ramps are located around the lake.

The Sacramento California Temple is the 123rd operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). The temple was the seventh built by the church in California, more than any state except Utah. The Sacramento California Temple serves a membership which totals approximately 80,000 in the area.

Hawkins' School of Performing Arts is the official school of Hawkins Contemporary and Classical Ballet Company, Folsom, California's official ballet school which also offers classes in tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, musical theater dance and more. Hawkins' School of Performing Arts is also home to other companies which includes: Hawkins Contemporary Jazz Company, and Hawkins Tap Company.

Glenn station (also known as Glenn/Robert G Holderness station) is a side platformed Sacramento RT Light Rail station in Folsom, California, United States. The station was opened on October 15, 2005, and is operated by the Sacramento Regional Transit District. It is served by the Gold Line. The station is located near the intersection of Glenn Drive and Folsom Boulevard. It serves primarily as a commuter stop, as it features a mid-sized parking lot. Sacramento Regonal Transit plans to add a second track to the station between Fall 2023 and Summer 2024.

Rancho Río de los Americanos was a 35,521-acre (143.75 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Sacramento County, California given in 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to William Leidesdorff (1810–1848). The grant takes its name from Río de los Americanos, the name of the American River during the Mexican-rule era. The grant originally consisted of 8 square leagues and extended from the eastern border of John Sutter's New Helvetia (east of Sacramento) 4 leagues along the south bank of the American River, to the eastern end of present-day Folsom, and included present-day cities of Rancho Cordova and Folsom.

The station is located on Folsom Boulevard at Rocket Circle, two blocks east of Hazel Avenue. The station is located adjacent to the Aerojet Rocketdyne plant.

The Southern Pacific Railroad Section Superintendent House located in Folsom, California is a historic company housing building built by the Southern Pacific Railroad for the section superintendent and his family that oversaw the Folsom junction railroad operations. The house was in use as the superintendent's house until the 1950, and as a residence until 2002.

The Phoenix Vernal Pools are located in Fair Oaks, California, a suburb of Sacramento city around 20 miles east of the city of Sacramento and north of highway 50. This land consists of seasonally inundated wetlands that form after winter rains. The climate type of Phoenix Vernal Pools is classified as Mediterranean, receiving 24 in (610 mm) of rain per year. The rainwater percolates into the soil until it reaches an impermeable hardpan that causes an elevated water table, forming the vernal pools. The Phoenix Vernal Pool ecosystem is relatively unique as is supports many species of fauna and flora endemic to vernal pools.

The Chung Wah Cemetery, also known as China Mission-Chung Wah Chinese Cemetery, in Folsom, California is a cemetery from 1906. The city of Folsom had a thriving Chinese community of about 3,000 that was drawn by the gold mining in the area. The size and shape of the cemetery suggests that it was not planned well. Graves were reportedly dug wherever there was room, with no specific orientation or layout. The Chung Wah cemetery served Chinese immigrants of the Heungshan dialect while another local cemetery, Yeong Wo was built by people from the Chungshan district. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Murer House and Gardens in Folsom, California is a building, designed and built by Giuseppe Murer in the Italian Renaissance architecture style, built in 1927. The house currently operates as a museum, and showcases the history of Italian immigration to the US and the early formation of Folsom. The Murer House and Gardens was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2022.
