The Staatliche Baderverwaltung Badenweiler (12 hectares) is a historic arboretum located in the city Kurpark at Kaiserstrasse 5, Badenweiler, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is open daily without charge. The arboretum dates to 1758 when Charles Frederick, Grand Duke of Baden, planted a walnut allée along the hill with its Roman ruins, which was subsequently extended in 1824-1828 by Johann Michael Hofrat Zeyher (1770–1843) to create a small landscape garden. The current Kurpark and arboretum, however, are primarily the work of Ernst Kraut Inger (1824–1898), Grand Ducal Park Director from 1850–1897, who collected trees from around the world to create an English landscape park. Many of today's trees date to this period, as do garden features such as swan ponds. Today the garden contains extensive plantings of exotic trees, including mature sequoias, cedars, palm trees, eucalyptus, bananas, lemons, oleanders, hibiscus, and magnolias, as well as fine specimens of Prunus, Quercus, Rosa, Sorbus and Viburnum species and varietals.

Badenweiler (High Alemannic: Badewiler) is a health resort and spa in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district of Baden-Württemberg, Germany, historically in the Markgräflerland. It is 28 kilometers by road and rail from Basel, 10 kilometers from the French border, and 20 kilometers from Mulhouse. The nearest big city on the German side of the border is Freiburg, about 30 kilometers away. Badenweiler lies at the western edge of the Black Forest. It is sheltered by the Blauen, 1,164 m (3,820 ft), and the climate is excellent. Its parish (Evangelical) church (1897) was built at the foot of an 11th-century castle which belonged to the margraves of Baden and was destroyed by the French during the wars of Louis XV. Many visitors come to Badenweiler for the warm mineral springs, with temperatures of 21 °C (70 °F), others for its whey cure, and still others on account of its equable climate and picturesque surroundings. There is a Kurhaus and a park of 15 acres (61,000 m²) containing a historic arboretum (the Staatliche Baderverwaltung Badenweiler), as well as a grand-ducal castle. In 1784, the well-preserved Roman baths were discovered there.

Blauen or Hochblauen is a 1,165-metre-high (3,820 ft) mountain in the southern Black Forest. The peak lies within the municipalities of Schliengen and Malsburg-Marzell in Landkreis Lörrach and the community of Badenweiler in Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald. It is an ideal viewpoint with views of the Black Forest, Vosges, Jura Mountains, and the Alps.

Heitersheim is a town in the district Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. The name of the school located in Heitersheim is Johanniterschule. It was the seat of the Grand Prior of Germany of the Knights Hospitaller from 1505 until 1806 and also the seat of the Principality of Heitersheim of the Holy Roman Empire from 1546 until 1806.

Malsburg-Marzell is a municipality in the district of Lörrach in Baden-Württemberg in Germany. Its coat of arms bears a wooded hill on which rests a castle ruin. This is a reference to the nearby Sausenburg.

Buggingen is a municipality in the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany located between the Rhine Valley and the Black Forest on the northern edge of Markgräflerland. Buggingen lies in the western part of the pre-Black Forest mountains. It is home to many vineyards and is a largely agricultural center. It also is home to Germany's largest tech mail order company. Buggingen administratively also includes Seefelden and Betberg. History The village was first referred to in 778. It was mentioned in the "Urkundebuch" of the monastery of Lorsch as "Buchinger marca". In 940 the village shifted to the control of the Bishop of Constance. As far as can be ascertained, Buggingen has been associated with vineyards throughout its history. The settlement of Buggingen has its origins in the alemannische. As a number of documents confirm, the majority of the property was in the hands of the church. Property owners were the monasteries in Lorsch, St. Blasien, Tennenbach, St. Peter, St. Trudpert, Sulzburg, Kappel, Neuenburg, Adelhausen, Sitzenkirch und Sölden. In 1934, 86 people were killed in an accident at a salt mine near Buggingen. The site of the mine, which was opened in 1904 and closed in 1973, is now a museum.

Tunsel is a village in the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald in Baden-Württemberg. Since January 1974, it is an Ortsteil of Bad Krozingen.
