Avenue des Ternes

The Church of Saint-Ferdinand des Ternes is a Roman Catholic parish church located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, between rue Saint-Ferdinand and Rue Armaillel, slightly set back from the Avenue des Ternes. It was begun in 1937 but not completed until 1957. It is an example of [Neo-Byzantine architecture].

Rue de Tilsitt is a street in the 8th and 17th arrondissements of Paris. It is one of two streets which form a circle around the Place de l’Étoile (renamed the Place Charles-de-Gaulle in 1970) - the other is the Rue de Presbourg. It was named after the Peace of Tilsit by a decree of 2 March 1864 (its spelling with the two final "t"s reflects old German spellings, which tended to double terminal consonants after short vowels). The Embassy of Belgium in Paris is located on Rue de Tilsitt.

The Champerret barrack is a building located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, France. It houses the HQ of the Paris Fire Brigade, but also a fire station of the 5th fire and rescue company. Champerret barrack is also home to a museum, called: Espace Mémoire.Paris Fire Brigade being a military entity, Champerret barrack is therefore considered a building under the Ministry of Armed Forces.

The Théâtre des Folies-Wagram was a theatre in Paris which operated from 1928 until 1964. From late 1935 it was known as the Théâtre de l'Étoile. Located at 35 Avenue de Wagram in the 17th arrondissement, the theatre saw the premieres of numerous French operettas as well as Antonin Artaud's play Les Cenci. It had no connection to another theatre also known as the Théâtre de l'Étoile which was located on the Champs-Élysées and operated from 1923 to 1926.

The Salle Wagram is a historic auditorium in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, France. It was built in 1865. It has been listed as an official historical monument by the French Ministry of Culture since March 2, 1981.First built in 1812 as the Bal Dourlans, the huge ballroom was designed by Adrien Alphonse Fleuret, and has been the setting for international congresses, political conferences, fashion exhibitions and dance competitions.From the 1950s the hall was much used as a classical recording venue, including a Beethoven symphony cycle with the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra conducted by Carl Schuricht, Stravinsky ballets with the same orchestra under Pierre Monteux, the complete Carmen with Maria Callas and Nicolai Gedda, and in the 1990s for many Poulenc recordings with the French National Orchestra under Charles Dutoit.In August 2000 La Traviata from Paris had the orchestra and conductor, Zubin Mehta in the Salle Wagram, while singers were on location around Paris.From 2016 the hall, then equipped for 800 spectators for orchestral concerts, became the home of the Orchestre Colonne.

Avenue Foch (French pronunciation: ​[avny fɔʃ]) is an avenue in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, France, named after World War I Marshal Ferdinand Foch in 1929. It is one of the most prestigious streets in Paris, and one of the most expensive addresses in the world, home to many grand palaces, including ones belonging to the Onassis and Rothschild families. The Rothschilds once owned numbers 19-21. The avenue runs from the Arc de Triomphe southwest to the Porte Dauphine at the edge of the Bois de Boulogne city park. It is the widest avenue in Paris and is lined with chestnut trees along its full length.

Place Charles de Gaulle (French: [plas ʃaʁl də ɡol]), historically known as the Place de l'Étoile (French: [plas də letwal]), is a large road junction in Paris, France, the meeting point of twelve straight avenues (hence its historic name, which translates as "Square of the Star") including the Champs-Élysées. It was renamed in 1970 following the death of President Charles de Gaulle. It is still often referred to by its original name; the nearby Métro and RER station retains the designation Charles de Gaulle–Étoile. Paris's Axe historique ("historical axis") cuts through the Arc de Triomphe, which stands at the centre of Place Charles de Gaulle.
