Lowell-Dracut-Tyngsboro State Forest is a publicly owned forest with recreational features measuring 1,109 acres (449 ha) that overlap the City of Lowell, and the towns of Dracut and Tyngsborough, Massachusetts. The forest, which includes some 180 acres (73 ha) of ponds, swamps and wetlands, is maintained by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.

The Merrimack Valley Course was a temporary street circuit in Lowell, Massachusetts. The 10.6 mile track hosted its first races in 1908 and was on the 1909 AAA Championship Car schedule. Due to financial losses, racing was discontinued after that season.

Stony Brook is a tributary of the Merrimack River in northeastern Massachusetts, joining the Merrimack at Chelmsford. Its watershed includes the towns of Boxborough, Harvard, Littleton, Ayer, Groton, Westford, Tyngsborough, and Chelmsford. Its farthest upstream tributary is Beaver Brook, originating in Wolf Swamp in Boxborough, 22 miles (35 km) upstream (southwest) of the mouth of Stony Brook in the Merrimack. Beaver Brook passes through Mill Pond in the center of Littleton and ends at Forge Pond at Forge Village in Westford. Stony Brook originates as the dammed outlet of Forge Pond and continues northeast past Graniteville, the Stony Brook Reservoir (not to be confused with the Stony Brook Reservoir in Weston and Waltham), Westford Station, Nabnasset, Brookside Station, and West Chelmsford, reaching the Merrimack at North Chelmsford.Stony Brook is parallel through its course by the Stony Brook Railroad.

Founded in 1891, Lowell General Hospital is an independent, not-for-profit community hospital serving the Greater Lowell area and surrounding communities. With two primary campuses located in Lowell, Massachusetts, Lowell General Hospital offers a full range of medical and surgical services for patients. Lowell General Hospital is a member of the Voluntary Hospitals of America. Lowell General is affiliated with Tufts Children's Hospital in Boston.

The Middlesex County Training School is a former reform school located in North Chelmsford, Massachusetts. After its closure, its buildings were purchased by the University of Massachusetts Lowell, which utilized its buildings for its College of Education. Today, the school's records are housed in the Massachusetts Archives.One of its buildings was home to the Fay A. Rotenberg School, operated by the Robert F. Kennedy Children's Action Corps, from 1982 until its 2006 relocation to Westborough, Massachusetts. The Rotenberg School (not to be confused with the Judge Rotenberg Educational Center, also in Massachusetts) is "the longest running and currently the only long-term treatment facility for adolescent females in the state".

The Chelmsford Glass Works' Long House is a historic tenement house at 139–141 Baldwin Street in Lowell, Massachusetts. The building, built in 1802 by the Chelmsford Glass Works to house some of its workers, is a series of 1–1/2 story Cape style wood-frame houses joined into a single structure. The building is one of the earliest industrial tenement structures built in the country. The glass works was established after the Middlesex Canal was opened, and needed to provide housing for its workers in what was then a somewhat rural location.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Greater Lowell Technical High School is a public vocational high school in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts, United States, part of the Greater Lowell area. The school was founded in 1967 as Lowell Trade School, and then later became Greater Lowell Regional Vocational Technical High School. The name was again changed to Greater Lowell Technical High School. The school serves the city of Lowell and the towns of Tyngsborough, Dracut, and Dunstable. Local nicknames for the school include "Gltech", "The Voc", and "The Tech". There are 23 technical programs available for students to choose from during their Freshman year at the school. An on-site restaurant is run by the Culinary Arts students, along with a Lowell 5 Bank that is run by the Marketing & Business Education students. Each student has a chance to obtain a Co-Op job during their junior and senior years at the school. A Co-Op job allows a student to directly participate in the workforce as opposed to attending school during their shop week. The majority of the student population at Greater Lowell are from the City of Lowell and the Town of Dracut. However, there are also numerous students from Tyngsborough and Dunstable. With nearly 2300 students, it is the largest vocational high school in Massachusetts and also one of the 10 largest high schools in the state.

Sampas Pavilion is an outdoor amphitheater located in the Pawtucketville neighborhood of Lowell, Massachusetts along the Pawtucket Boulevard, 25 miles northwest of Boston, Massachusetts, United States, and owned by the state of Massachusetts. The pavilion is located on the banks of the Merrimack River and is part of Lowell Heritage State Park. The seating capacity is approximately 1,000, consisting of general admission lawn seats and additional seating in the back. The venue has been in use since the early 1970s and has been used for events such as musical performances, ethnic festivals, and political rallies. The pavilion hosts a summer concert series, motorcycle rallies, and the city of Lowell's Fourth of July fireworks.

The Jerathmell Bowers House is believed to have built circa 1673, at 150 Wood Street in Lowell, Massachusetts. It is the oldest known home in Lowell. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The North Town Hall is one of two historic 19th-century town halls in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Located at 31 Princeton Street, near the North Chelmsford village center, it is a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure with Greek Revival styling. It was built in 1853, and was used, alternating with the Centre Town Hall, for town meetings until 1885. It was thereafter used as a community meeting hall and polling station, a role it served until 1967, when the town moved its school administration offices there. In 2011 the building underwent a full restoration, and is again used as a community center. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

North Chelmsford is an unincorporated village in the town of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States. Although North Chelmsford has its own zip code (01863), library, post office, fire station, water district, and local calling area, it is otherwise run by the same local town government and shares a school district with Chelmsford. North Chelmsford is smaller and more densely populated than neighboring Chelmsford. North Chelmsford's separate identity, though not a seriously debated issue, is still a topic of discussion - the Lowell Sun ran an article on August 7, 2005 titled "Chelmsford's civil war still raging on."

Allen House, also known historically as The Terraces, is an historic house at 2 Solomont Way on the South Campus of the University of Massachusetts Lowell in Lowell, Massachusetts. Built about 1854, it is one of the city's finest early examples of Italianate architecture. In the early 20th century, it was the home of Charles Herbert Allen, a prominent local politician. Since 1957, it has been owned by the University of Massachusetts Lowell; restored in the 2000s, it houses a gallery and event space used for university programs and is home to the university's Honors College. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
