Pilestredet Park

Blitz House (Norwegian: Blitzhuset) is an anarchist, communist and socialist self-managed social centre in Oslo, Norway, founded in 1982. Having started as a squat, it is now legalized and based on Pilestredet. The centre hosts activities such as political meetings, a feminist radio station (radiOrakel), a vegan café and practice rooms for musicians.

Pilestredet is a street in Oslo, Norway which begins in the city center and runs through the boroughs of St. Hanshaugen and Frogner. The street was originally called Rakkerstrædet in reference to the city dump being located along the road at today's Pilestredet Park. It was renamed in 1820 to Pilestrædveien for all the willow trees along the road. According to historian Alf Collett the renaming came about after pressure from the Brochmann family, who did not want to live on a road named after rubbish. Rikshospitalet was located there earlier, now superseded by Pilestredet Park. Oslo Metropolitan University is found along the street, and the Ullevål Hageby tram line runs along parts of it. The Blitz movement is housed in Pilestredet 30. There are several churches along the street, including Fagerborg church. Industry in the street includes Conrad Langaard and St. Halvard Bryggeri.The street is featured in the Norwegian version of the board game Monopoly, at the spot where North Carolina Avenue is found in the US version.

The Edderkoppen Theatre is a theatre located at St Olavs Plass in Oslo, Norway. The theatre is known for varied entertainment, ranging from comedy to musical shows. From 1967 to 2003 it was called the ABC theatre. Since 2016, it has been known as Edderkoppen Scene.

Schola Osloensis, known in Norwegian as Oslo Katedralskole (Oslo Cathedral School) and more commonly as "Katta", is a selective upper secondary school located in Oslo, Norway. The school offers the college preparatory Studiespesialisering (literal translation: specialization for studies) of the Norwegian school system. Oslo Cathedral School is one of four schools in Norway that can trace its origins directly to the Middle Ages. It is generally regarded as one of Norway's most prestigious schools, which celebrated its 850th anniversary in 2003.The school's motto is the Latin phrase Non scholae, sed vitae discimus which translates to "We do not learn for the sake of the school, but for the sake of life".

The National Gallery (Norwegian: Nasjonalgalleriet) is a gallery in Oslo, Norway. Since 2003 it is administratively a part of the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design. As of 2017, the admission cost is 100 Norwegian kroner.

The National Museum of Art in Norway, also known simply as the National Museum, shortened NaM (Norwegian: Nasjonalmuseet for kunst) is a Norwegian state-owned museum in Oslo. It holds the Norwegian state's public collection of art, architecture, and design objects. The collection totals over 400.000 works, amongst them the first copy of Edvard Munch's The Scream from 1893.The National Museum was established in 2003 by the merging of the Museum of Architecture, The Museum of Industrial Art, The Museum of contemporary Art, the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the National Gallery of Norway. In 2022, the museum opened its new building at Vestbanehallen at the centre of Oslo, housing the entirety of the collections from these previous museums.The current director of the museum is Karen Hindsbo.

The Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Oslo is a hotel in Oslo, Norway, just east of the Palace Park near Holbergs plass. The 22-story, 67 metres (220 ft) 488-room hotel is Oslo's third tallest building.

Saint Mark's Church (Norwegian: Markus kirke) is a church in the St. Hanshaugen district of Oslo, Norway, completed in 1927. The church has entrances from Schwensen Street (Norwegian: Schwensens gate) no. 15 and on Ullevål Street (Norwegian: Ullevålsveien) no. 41.

Museum of Cultural History (Norwegian: Kulturhistorisk museum, KHM) is an association of museums subject to the University of Oslo, Norway. KHM was established in 1999 as Universitetets kulturhistoriske museum with the merging of the bodies Universitetets Oldsaksamling which housed a collection of ancient and medieval objects, Viking Ship Museum (Vikingskipshuset) at Bygdøy, the Coin Cabinet (Myntkabinettet) and Ethnographic Museum (Etnografisk samling). In 2004 the name was changed to Kulturhistorisk museum.The activities of the Museum of Cultural History are currently localized in four main buildings in Oslo city centre: Historical Museum at Frederiks gate 2 and Frederiks gate 3 and administration at St. Olavs gate 29, as well as the Viking Ship Museum on the Bygdøy peninsula.The Museum of Cultural History is one of Norway's largest cultural history museums. It holds the country's largest prehistoric and medieval archaeological collections, including the Viking ships at Bygdøy, a substantial collection of medieval church objects, and a rune archive. The museum also has a comprehensive ethnographic collection that includes objects from every continent, as well as Norway's largest collection of historical coins.

Sehesteds plass ('Sehested's Square') is a square in Oslo, Norway. The square is modelled after Place Vendôme in Paris, and is named after the Governor of Norway Hannibal Sehested.The publishing houses H. Aschehoug & Co and Gyldendal Norsk Forlag have their respective headquarters here. The square is a plot element in Henrik H. Langeland's novel Wonderboy.

The Borgarting Court of Appeal (Norwegian: Borgarting lagmannsrett) is one of six intermediate courts of appeal in the Kingdom of Norway. The Court is located in the city of Oslo. The court has jurisdiction over the counties of Oslo and western Viken. These areas constitute the Borgarting judicial district (Norwegian: Borgarting lagdømme). This court can rule on both civil and criminal cases that are appealed from one of its subordinate district courts. Court decisions can be, to a limited extent, appealed to the Supreme Court of Norway. The court has 62 judges and 45 administrative staff. The chief judicial officer of the court (Norwegian: førstelagmann) is currently Marianne Vollan. The court is administered by the Norwegian National Courts Administration.
