Châteauguay-Laprairie was a former provincial electoral district in the province of Quebec, Canada. Many sources (including the National Assembly website) write it as Châteauguay-La Prairie, but contemporary sources show the "Laprairie" part of the name written as one word. This alternate way of spelling it is probably by analogy with the modern-day La Prairie electoral district, which was spelled "Laprairie" before 1988.It was created for the 1939 election, from parts of the Châteauguay and Napierville-Laprairie electoral districts. It existed for only that one election. It disappeared in the 1944 election and its successor electoral district was the recreated Châteauguay.

Châteauguay is a provincial riding (electoral district) in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada, that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes the city of Châteauguay. It was originally created in 1867 (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada). Its final election was in 1936. It disappeared in the 1939 and its successor electoral district was Châteauguay-Laprairie. However, Châteauguay-Laprairie only existed for one election. Châteauguay was re-created for the 1944 election. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, it lost Sainte-Catherine to the newly created Sanguinet electoral district.

CHAI-FM is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Châteauguay, Quebec, near Montreal. It broadcasts on 101.9 MHz with an effective radiated power of 100 watts (class A1) using an omnidirectional antenna. The station also operates a co-channel repeater, CHAI-FM-1 in Candiac, also on 101.9 FM. The use of two transmitters is in order to protect several co-channel and adjacent-channel stations in nearby areas, the closest being CIBL-FM and CINQ-FM in Montreal, plus co-channel CJSS-FM in Cornwall, Ontario. (CBMG-FM in Cowansville, a local repeater of CBME-FM that also broadcasts at 101.9, did not sign on until 2002.) The station operates under a community radio licence and has a variety format. It opened in 1980.In December 2015, CHAI-FM announced plans to replace its two-transmitter system with a single transmitter, from a location southeast of CHAI-FM's main Châteauguay transmitter. The new transmitter would broadcast at 238 watts, with a directional antenna set on an east–west pattern, also to protect nearby stations as discussed above; this was due to synchronization and interference problems between the Châteauguay and Candiac transmitters, which is evident where the two transmitters overlap in an area between Lachine and Delson.The station is a member of the Association des radiodiffuseurs communautaires du Québec.

The New Frontiers School Board (NFSB, French: Commission scolaire New-Frontiers, CSNF) is an English-language school board in the province of Quebec. The school board was formerly known as the Chateauguay Valley English Protestant School Board until the Province of Quebec opted for linguistic, rather than Roman Catholic and Protestant, school boards. It was renamed to reflect the regions that were initially placed under the oversight of the NFSB; however, the board's boundaries have returned to their original scope. The territory borders the United States to the south, Ontario to the west, the St. Lawrence River to the north, and Kahnawake to the east.

Howard S. Billings Regional High School is an English-language public secondary school located in Châteauguay, Quebec, Canada. It was established in 1967 and is part of the New Frontiers School Board. The school is named after Dr. Howard S. Billings, a Quebec educator who retired as associate deputy minister of education in 1967.The school is divided into four wings, corresponding to the cardinal points. The east wing houses New Frontiers School Board offices and the classrooms used for students enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Programme. CKKI-FM (89.9 KiC Country Montreal) is a Canadian radio station in the Kahnawake Mohawk Territory, near Montreal, Quebec, which operates at 89.9 MHz FM. The station airs a country music format. Its on-air studios are located on Route 207, with production studios in Mercier.In December 2009, the station originally operated as an unlicensed station on 106.7 FM, the frequency previously used by a local Aboriginal Voices repeater. It was granted a license to operate on 89.9 FM on September 29, 2011, by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC). The station was licensed by the CRTC as a dual-language English / Mohawk station on the Sovereign Territory of Kahnawake, with 126 hours of local programming—120 hours featuring country music, and 6 hours of spoken word and talk programming, 5% in Mohawk, with the remainder in English.On the weekend, Casey Clark's Country Countdown Ted Rupe's Country Spotlight, "Down East Country" with George Canyon , "Trucker Radio" and Cool Indy Radio are featured. Currently during the week Kic Country is airing all music with no live programming, until the weekend.

CJMS was a French language radio station located in Saint-Constant, Quebec, Canada, a suburb of Montreal. It broadcast on 1040 kHz with a daytime power of 10,000 watts and a nighttime power of 5,000 watts as a class B station, using a directional antenna with the same directional pattern day and night to protect WHO in Des Moines, Iowa. It transmitted from the same site CKGM used when it was on 980 kHz near Autoroute 30 in Saint-Constant. The station had a format which was part-time country music and part-time talk and infomercials. Despite has advertised itself as a country-formatted station, it was generally viewed as a talk/infomercial station which aired country music in non-key times of the day.

The Chateauguay Valley is an area of southwestern Quebec Canada, roughly encompassing the drainage basin of the Chateauguay River which flows from the Adirondack Mountains in northern New York state and joins the Saint Lawrence River near Montreal, Quebec. The Valley is mainly made up of rural communities and is known for its agriculture and apple orchards. It includes the area roughly stretching from Dundee and Huntingdon in the west to Hemmingford in the east and north to Châteauguay.
