The Denver Art Museum (DAM) is an art museum located in the Civic Center of Denver, Colorado. With encyclopedic collections of more than 70,000 diverse works from across the centuries and world, the DAM is one of the largest art museums between the West Coast and Chicago. It is known for its collection of American Indian art, as well as The Petrie Institute of Western American Art, which oversees the Museum’s Western art collection. and its other collections of more than 70,000 diverse works from across the centuries and world. The Museum’s iconic Martin Building (formerly known as the North Building) was designed by famed Italian architect Gio Ponti in 1971.In 2018, the Museum began a transformational $150 million renovation project to unify the campus and revitalize Ponti’s original structure, including the creation of new exhibition spaces, two new dining options, and a new welcome center.

1.26 is a public art sculpture commission designed by artist Janet Echelman for Denver's inaugural Biennial of the Americas celebration in July 2010. The sculpture's name is a reference the 2010 Chile earthquake which may have resulted in a 1.26 microsecond shortening of the days on Earth. The sculpture's shape was inspired by NOAA's graphic simulation of the tsunami caused by the earthquake. The sculpture was hung outside the Denver Art Museum between the museum and the Civic Center Park's Greek Amphitheater. It was installed in Sydney in 2011, Amsterdam in 2012, and Singapore in 2014, and Durham in 2015. From May to October 2016, the work is installed in Quartier des Spectacles in Montreal.

Lao Tzu is a 1996 sculpture by Mark di Suvero, installed at Denver's Acoma Plaza at West 13th Avenue, in the U.S. state of Colorado.The artist wants to bring “doodles” to life in space, aiming to engage viewers with his sculptures. He named this artwork Lao Tzu after the Chinese philosopher who founded Taoism in the 6th century, but insists in not strictly assigning particular meanings to his pieces in order to keep them as abstract as possible.

Civic Center, Denver is a neighborhood in Denver, Colorado, United States. The northern part of the neighborhood overlaps partially with the Denver Civic Center, an area of parks and civic buildings. The U.S. Census estimated the population of the neighborhood in 2017 as 1,962. The neighborhood has become popularly known as the Golden Triangle, particularly since a redevelopment boom beginning in the 1990s. The Civic Center neighborhood is one of the City of Denver's official neighborhoods designated for planning and city services' delivery purposes. The boundaries of the official neighborhood are: North – Colfax Avenue West and south – Speer Boulevard East – BroadwayIt includes the Civic Center Park and some of its surrounding government and cultural institutions that comprise the Denver Civic Center, although not the center's Lincoln Park, not the Colorado State Capitol building in the center's east end, and not the center's few buildings north of Colfax. The "Golden Triangle Creative District" is an organization of residents and property owners which is an officially-recognized Registered Neighborhood Organization, and was formerly known at the Golden Triangle Neighborhood Association. This organization defines its area to be slightly larger, with its eastern border at Lincoln, one block further east (and thereby including Lincoln Park). This neighborhood association notes that it spans 45 city blocks with 16 or more galleries and museums and with dozens of restaurants and stores. The creative district became official in 2016. In 2018 it began an effort to become, further, a business improvement district which would be able to assess taxes and improve public infrastructure.The Downtown Denver Partnership and the Golden Triangle Neighborhood Association define the Golden Triangle as extending one block east to Lincoln Street, thereby incorporating almost all of Civic Center Park and the institutions surrounding them (with the exception of the Colorado State Capitol in the Capitol Hill neighborhood and a few buildings to the north of Colfax Avenue). The main arterial street through the Golden Triangle is Bannock Street; 13th, 14th, and 8th avenues are important east-west arterials as well. All of the streets that provide the borders for the neighborhood (Lincoln/Broadway, Colfax, and Speer) are important transportation corridors for Denver.

The Denver Public Library is the public library system of the City and County of Denver, Colorado. The system includes the Denver Central Library, located in the Golden Triangle district of Downtown Denver, as well as 25 branch locations and two bookmobiles. The library's collection totals more than 2 million items, including books, reference materials, movies, music, and photographs. Of that total, more than 347,000 items are in specific collections including the Western History and Genealogy Department, Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library, and Reference Department holdings.

On the War Trail is a 1922 statue by Alexander Phimister Proctor, installed outside the Colorado State Capitol in Denver's Civic Center Park. The bronze sculpture depicts a Native American riding on a horse and carrying a spear.

The People's Fair is an annual event, held in early June, in Civic Center Park in Denver, Colorado, United States It is sponsored by Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods (CHUN). The People's Fair is one of several free events held annually in Denver. The first People's Fair was held in 1972 at Morey Junior High School (now Morey Middle School), with 2,000 in attendance. Within five years, the fair had outgrown its home and moved to East High School. In 1987, the fair moved to its current home, Civic Center Park, between the Colorado State Capitol and the City and County Building. The fair has about 500 vendor booths. Some sell food, but the focus of the juried event is on arts and crafts. CHUN describes it as "Colorado's Premier Arts and Crafts Festival". Throughout the event, several bands perform on stages, and carnival rides are set up in one portion of the fair's grounds. Part of the mission of the People's Fair is to fund community non-profit organizations. This is accomplished via the beverage booths, staffed by volunteers whose respective organizations receive a portion of the profits from sales. No fair was held in 2019–20.

The Denver Civic Center is a civic center area that includes two parks surrounded by government and cultural buildings and spaces. Civic Center is located in central Denver, Colorado, on the south side of Downtown Denver. Much of the area is a historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 (boundaries clarified 1988). A somewhat smaller area was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 2012 as one of the nation's finest examples of the City Beautiful movement of civic design. Denver Civic Center lies partially within the north end of an official Denver neighborhood also named Civic Center. It includes the Colorado State Capitol building, in the west end of Denver's official Capitol Hill neighborhood, and it includes a few buildings in the south end of Denver's Central Business District. The Civic Center area is known as the center of the civic life in the city, with numerous institutions of arts, government, and culture as well as festivals, parades, and protests throughout the year.

PrideFest is an annual Gay pride event held each June in Denver, honoring the culture and heritage of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community in the State of Colorado. The first Denver PrideFest occurred in 1976, the same year the local community center, now known as the Center on Colfax, was founded. The Center organizes and produces the festival and parade each year. The event currently consists of a two-day festival at Civic Center Park, the Pride 5K, and culminates with a parade along Colfax Avenue. Denver PrideFest now draws 525,000 guests annually, making it the third largest pride festival and seventh largest pride parade in the United States.

Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art is an art museum in Denver, Colorado, United States. The museum houses three principal collections and includes the original studio and art school building of artist Vance Kirkland (1904–1981). Kirkland Museum relocated to a new building at 1201 Bannock Street in Denver's Golden Triangle Creative District and opened to the public on March 10, 2018.
