Nijverdal railway station

Hellendoorn (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌɦɛlə(n)ˈdoːr(ə)n] (listen); Tweants: Heldern or Healndoorn) is a municipality and town in the middle of the Dutch province of Overijssel. As of 2019, the municipality had a population of 35,808. There is an amusement park near the town of Hellendoorn called Avonturenpark Hellendoorn. At the outskirts of the town there is an ice cream factory from Unilever, where Ben & Jerry's is produced for the European market.

Nijverdal (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈnɛi̯vərˌdɑl]) is a town of approximately 25,000 inhabitants in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is the commercial centre of the municipality Hellendoorn. Nijverdal (which means Industrious Valley) was founded in 1836 on the territory of the hamlet Noetsele. It was here that the industrial revolution in the Netherlands took root. Thomas Ainsworth (1795–1841) and Zak Dee Patmore (1799–1838) were two of its founding fathers. Textile production was the focus of industrial activity in Nijverdal, as it was for the rest of the Twente region. Some of the traditional factory buildings in the Art Deco or Jugendstil style still remain. A river called the Regge runs through the town, and is the historical border between the two regions Twente and Salland, and the border of two Dutch dialects, which are Twents and Sallaands, respectively. Every native inhabitant of Nijverdal used to speak either one or both regional dialects but since the 1970's dialect is in decline. Very few inhabitants younger than 30 use any dialect anymore.

ASV Atletics is a Dutch athletics club based in Nijverdal in the province of Overijssel. It was established in 1986. It has ±260 members. AV Atletics is affiliated to the Netherlands Athletics Federation.

Nijverdal West was a temporary railway station located in Nijverdal, the Netherlands. The station was located on the Zwolle–Almelo railway and opened on 14 December 2009. It closed on 3 March 2013. The services were operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. To improve road and rail routes between Almelo and Zwolle there were many works along the line. As a result of this, temporary station Nijverdal West was opened in December 2009. During its operational period, there was no direct service between Zwolle and Almelo. The services operated as Zwolle - Nijverdal West and Nijverdal - Almelo - Enschede, with a shuttle bus service between Nijverdal West and Nijverdal.

Notter is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the municipality of Wierden, about 4 km southeast of the town of Nijverdal.It was first mentioned in 1297 as Nuthere. The etymology is not clear. It has a statistical entity, and postal code, however it is still considered a hamlet of Wierden. It is twinned with Zuna and shares resources with its neighbour. In 1840, it was home to 367 people.

Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park is a national park in the Dutch province of Overijssel, located between the townships of Hellendoorn and Holten. In 2004, the Dutch Government changed the status of the area to National Park. The park is mainly managed by Staatsbosbeheer, Natuurmonumenten and the water company Vitens. In addition, several small private owners are involved in the management, as well as regional communities and stakeholders. The National Park is located in its entirety south of the N35 (Zwolle-Almelo), and encapsulates Haarlerberg, Holterberg, Noetselerberg and Koningsbelten. The park covers an area of approximately 35 square kilometres. Its highest point is the Koningsbelt, standing 75 metres above Normaal Amsterdams Peil (NAP).

Rijssen is a railway station located in Rijssen, Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 September 1888 and is located on the Deventer–Almelo railway. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen. From 1910 to 1935 there was a railway line that passed through Rijssen from Neede to Hellendoorn.

It has almost 28,000 inhabitants. The economy of Rijssen relies mostly on commerce and construction and transport companies.

Rijssen-Holten (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌrɛisə(n) ˈhɔltə(n)] (listen); Sallaans: Riesn-Hooltn) is a municipality (Dutch: gemeente) in the eastern Netherlands, in the province of Overijssel. The municipality was formed in 2001 by the joining of the municipalities of Holten and Rijssen. The area of Holten belongs to the region of Salland and the area of Rijssen to the region of Twente.

Daarle (Dutch Low Saxon: Doarle) is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel in the Salland region. It is part of the municipality of Hellendoorn.

Holten is a railway station located in Holten, Netherlands. The station was opened on 1 September 1888 and is located on the Deventer–Almelo railway. It closed on 15 May 1938, but reopened on 1 June 1940. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen.

Holten (Dutch Low Saxon: Hooltn) is a village in the municipality of Rijssen-Holten in the Dutch province of Overijssel. Holten is located in a forested area just south of the Holterberg, a 65-metre (210 ft) hill, and is part of the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park. The National Park is the only area in the Netherlands in which the black grouse (in Dutch: korhoen) can be found. This grouse population is on the brink of extinction, so parts of the National Park are closed to the public during its breeding season.
